(OOC: I see two Wils on the map, and would like to move Kiwina where one of them is to be able to attack.) Feeling trapped in these corridors, Kiwina looks for an opportunity to attack. If the space is open or opens up, Kiwina moves to AY-7/AZ-8 and attacks the liontaur statue at the door with his longspear. Hits AC 24 for 6 damage

Tsak draws his falchion and attacks the statue between himself and the doorway he just entered thru.

Esmerelda attacks the same statue from behind.

(OOC Sorry Mr DM I'm not sure if Esmerelda can trip or crit a statue, also what might a natural 1 on a claw attack mean?)

Mak wasn't surprised when the statues came to life. He didn't think anyone was really. They all suspected some kind of trap because centaurs didn't generally smash themselves to bits...typically they had help with that sort of thing. So when the statue moved from around the corner and stood there in the hallway Mak grimaced and brought his bow up in one smooth motion to shoot at the construct.

While the light in the hallway was bright, the statue was in an area of dimmer light but Mak was confident he'd be ok with that. He loosed his first arrow and it went wide as he had to avoid hitting Kiwina when the centaur surged forward into the battle. His second arrow looked like it hit the stone creature but Mak couldn't tell if it was damaged by his arrow. Mak's last arrow was a dud and snapped in two as soon as he released the bow string.

Mak thought to reposition himself before firing again, but he needed to see exactly what these creatures were capable of first. Mak also tried to remember if he'd heard any legends about stone creatures on the island that were used in tombs.

Tsak Rezar tires to attack, and doesn't do much at all.
Elyas's spell bounces of the golem's harmlessly.
Rolth Niheow swings furiously and only manages to do a very very nominal amount of damage
Kiwina also strikes one but doesn't manage to cause any damage.
Falco Ambersier casts Prayer
Mak's arrows skitter harmlessly off the golem's bodies.
Wil manages to position himself better.

The golems seem completely unhindered by any and all attempts to stop them.

One of the golem's attacks Falco, who takes 23 damage

Two attack Rolth, who takes 30 damage.

The fourth one bulls rushes Kiwina back into the corridor (Kiwina you can a make an attack of opportunity)

The final one is still standing by the door, not moving, stoically, like a statue, oddly enough.

Kiwina is surprised to be pushed back rather than slammed to a pulp, but he's not questioning his luck. When Rolth's light source disappears from the room and appears behind him, Kiwina realizes Tsak and Wil are separated from the party by this lump of rock he's fighting.

"Fighting doesn't seem to do much good. Did you say music of the spheres? If we have to assemble those pieces to stop these things, we're in trouble."

In contact with the foe now, Kiwina's weapon changes to a greatclub. He makes a full attack on the statue.

Tsak Rezar manages to just about get out.
Elyas makes the point that you cannot fight them head on very easily.
Rolth Niheow lets himself be healed.
Kiwina tries to attack, only one seems to have possibly done damage, but even that seems to have slipped off of the golem.
Falco Ambersier continues to try to heal the party.
Mak attempts to attack the Golem, but it raises it's arm to defend and blocks the attack.
Wil teleports himself again... it seems there was an odd flare of magical power, allowing him to teleport more than one person last time... whatever that magical effect was it seems to have waned.

Elyas realises very quickly they are Stone Golems. A few details he recalls is they are immune to nearly all magics, nad have resistance to all damage done with non-adamantium weapons.

However, the Golems have not pursued you into the corridors, they are waiting in the room, to see what you do. You are all safe in the corridors as it stands. The Golems stand stock still, it almost feels like their eyes follow you wherever you go...

Rolth is still digging Wil's idea to use his teleporting celestial friend to nab the metal pieces. He quietly suggests a modification to the plan. "What if the archon was invisible, teleported from around the corner behind us where the golems couldn't see him, grabbed the stuff invisibly, then teleported back around the corner? They would have no idea what happened or where the pieces went. Either way, why don't we back up a little, and heal up? That way, if it comes to a fight, we're in better shape. We could only have to fight one at a time in the corridor too, so that might help. It would be slow going, but we might actually prevail, unlike when all of them could gang up on us at once."

Rolth will back up his thought with a channel of Domi's healing power for the party.

I don't have a mending spell prepared today, so if our plan at all involves fixing this thing we might have to come back later and try again. if we do try to rush through the room, I can make one person invisible, make one person fly pretty fast, and make us all move quicker. that would be a lot of resources to avoid this area though, so personally I vote for going the other path first and see what is there.

Once formed it's actually a sphere of metal. Unfortunately, the message from before about the music of the sphere comes to mind. However, there is no sign of any sort of instrument at all, and the sphere just makes a dull metallic bong when struck, not enough to be called music...

He is tempted to roll the sphere into the golems to see if it will work like a game of bowling pins, but figures that if it doesn't work, we'll have lost the sphere for naught. "I'm kinda stumped here, fellas." I guess it wouldn't hurt to see what was back to the south. Looks like we aren't going this way easily. If we do have to hoof it, I can cast expeditious retreat, at least. And maybe a few other helpful tricks if needed." Tsak Rezar
Elyas spends his time considering the sphere to try and figure it out.
Rolth Niheow heals people and is prepared to open the door
Kiwina laments the speed of the party
Falco Ambersier does some powerful healing on Mak.
Mak managed to make it through the room and escape with Kiwina
Wil mentions Mak had been left behind.

You all reach the room ((Please put yourself in order next to the final door where Rolth is)). Rolth reaches out when you're all prepared and pushes on the big stone slab that is the door, it moves back slightly, then with a crunch, and a grind, and a rumbling sound, begins to move to one side, opening up the room. The sound of stone scraping on stone is loud and makes it difficult to concentrate, but after a few moments it's over.

This room large, 70’ by 30’. Directly across from the door is an inscription on the wall as you've encountered in other rooms like this. The wall to the left has a doorway in the middle of it. The wall to the right is blank upon first inspection. In the middle of the room is a large wooden sarcophagus, the top of which is inscribed with a forest of trees.

Perception Check DC 14 - Highlight to display spoiler: {The wall that appears blank, the one on the right, is actually covered in a small holes.}

Mak knew very little about magic and it's various schools of thought. He did know about divination magic, summoning magic, and healing magic or whatever those things were called. He assumed it was all godly stuff. His religion classes told him a little about it, but he would have to leave the decision making to those better versed in those matters.

For himself he stood quietly and invisibly off to one side as he peered into the dim light of the room. When Rolth mentioned that the floor might be illusory Mak tried to see if it was indeed such as he looked for faults in the flagstones construction that might give such away.

Rolth's attempts to disbelieve the floor lead to one incontrovertible piece of evidence, the floor appears to be real. Certainly the stones he can touch from where he is are. Everyone else who can see the stones and Rolth's attempts to test them also come to the same conclusion, the floor appears to be real wherever he can reach to test.

Elyas - Highlight to display spoiler: {The Abjuration magic appears to be some sort of trap, triggering something else. The Transmutation magic seems to increase your sensitivity to something, letting you understand something more easily perhaps?}

Rolth, Kiwina - Highlight to display spoiler: {It occurs to you that the crack is almost certainly leading to a pit trap. The portion of the floor Rolth is standing on must give way.}

There's a loud groan, and a creak, and the floor beneath Rolth gives way! Thankfully he manages to dive off the dropping floor before it gives way totally, you can quickly see that the floor gives way to a pit trap with spikes at the bottom. But only the last ten feet of the room or so give way. It seems the hinges must have rusted which is why it took a moment to drop someone.

Do you recommend that we see what is in the sarcophagus, or turn our attention elsewhere? Wil, can you remove a magical trap with your, ahem, mad skills?" Rolth also likes Kiwina's idea of searching for secret doors and so takes a closer look at the wall to the south.

Elyas is startled by the collapse of the floor, but seeing that everyone is ok he returns to looking at the magic auras.

There are two things in this room looks like some abjuration magic that is used as a trigger of sorts, probably an alarm or other sensor. it's through the whole room, so it has either already detected our presence or it is keyed to trigger off of a specific action or person.

this sarcophagus has some transmutation magic in it. from what I can sense of it, it is meant to increase sensitivity to something. Not clear what though. my first guess is that it helps one understand something more easily? if true that could be useful for figuring out the puzzles in this place. if we don't have other leads it may be worth opening up to see. of course the trigger spell could be waiting for someone to do something as foolish as opening the coffin....

Elyas looks to captain Kiwina for a decision, but waits for input from any of the Petals before doing anything further.

If we're going to be cracking tombs, why not do them all, right?

Elyas is still nervous about breaking into the sarcophagus, but it seems like there aren't a lot of other options right now.

You all see the Earth Elemental meld into the stone, for a few moments, then burst out the Sarcophagus with a silver circlet held aloft.

There's a dull creaking sound and a portcullis slams shut over the doorway leading to the tunnel you are all in. The wall with the holes in it lets out a distinctive screech of stone on stone as spikes emerge from all the wholes, and the wall begins to move forward with an inexorable slowness.

Also, the door that was an etching in the wall on the far side, where the trap is, shimmers for a moment and becomes a door...

However, there is a portcullis between you and the room, and the Earth Elemental cannot fit through the bars in the portcullis, nor can the circlet...
