DM Hugh - The Meadow Room - 1 Monday July 8th, 2024 2:39:49 AM The Twins say it was possible they were supposed to build a key from shrooms and suggest rushing forward was a mistake. Cyrion looks at the shroom, the splinter and the skeletal key and then sits and tries to garner any information from the three items as to where the fourth might be. Elron tells folks not to worry about missing a key and that they should get the others and see how far they get. Asimov suggests using the skeleton key to open the door, grabbing the gear and headed towards the next woom. Zeoll looks over the loot with satisfaction and says they should keep it all as he agrees it is time to move on. DM Hugh - The Meadow Room - 4 Thursday July 11th, 2024 1:07:02 AM The Twins continue to look at the chasm trying to find interesting features. It appears bottomless. Cyrion though unsettled by the singing apologizes and pulls out the splinter concentrating on it. Similar to what happened in the bat cave the splinter starts by pointing to a nearby flower seemingly at random for a fairly long period of time. Then it purposely points to in order a red flower, an orange flower, a yellow flower, a green flower, a blue flower, an indigo flower and lastly a violet flower. It then points to the chasm and presumably whatever is on the other side. The rainbow flowers and chasm pointing are all on a shorter cadence than the original flower. Elron sees the sparks from Zeoll’s activity and carefully tilts two flowers so that their light intersects and watches the interaction to see what is going on. Where the flowers’ lights intersect there is sparking like previously observed by Zeoll’s inadvertent brushing. Also the repulsion effect appears stronger with the addition of the second flowers. Zeoll shows everyone how the flowers repulse or push back on the party members like magnets of the same pole types Asimov adds a third flower to Elron’s experiment and the sparking and repulsion effects seem to grow even stronger

The rope around his waist grows taut, cutting into his skin as his friends vanish. Elron stumbles backward, his feet skidding over the soft ground of the flower field as he feels an irresistible force pulling him toward the tiny portal of light -- smaller than Elron by far. Wildflowers, trampled and crushed underfoot, release a sweet, heady fragrance that mingles with the scent of magic in the air.
The portal pulses with a hypnotic, iridescent light, its surface rippling like a disturbed pond. Elron’s heart pounds in his chest, a mix of fear and exhilaration coursing through his veins. The surrounding landscape blurs, the vivid colors of the blossoms blending into a whirlwind of hues as he is dragged closer to the portal.
He casts a desperate glance over his shoulder, the familiar world growing distant with every passing second. The rope strains and creaks, the only thing tethering him to his friends who had already crossed over.
As he nears the portal, the air around him crackles with energy, tiny sparks dancing along the rope. His fingertips brush the edges of the vortex, sending a jolt of warmth up his arm. The portal’s light intensifies, swallowing the field of flowers in a blinding radiance. With a final tug, Elron is pulled through the gateway, the world behind him disappearing into a brilliant, otherworldly glow. He tumbles into the unknown, the rope now a lifeline connecting him to his friends in this strange new realm.

"Ah, so great a grouping of beautiful lights!" exults Mundhildur. "Swirls and circles and blossoms and branches!"
She does try to get her bearings within the kaleidoscope. Really, though, she has never seen a kaleidoscope.
