Keith, one more question: Was the trap magical or mechanical in nature? Once we get through the combat, I'll go back over and observe the stairs carefully, as per the Find Trap description, to get an idea of how the trap is triggered (probably by stepping on any of the stairs). (( it was mechanical ))

Anthony says: Someone please send me the Woldian address, they upgraded my computer and I lost all my addresses.

The Necromancer's Stones: Turn 43
Friday March 6th, 1998 4:00:40 AM

Practical Onrad disbelieves that anyone could control that many undead at once. He attempts to disbelieve the mass of undead but they remain waiting outside.

Flaust turns to face the hallway and walks quickly in that direction to allow the party to speak.

"I think we're expected." Jus says. "Let's keep going."

Kat's form wavers momentarily, and she returns to her normal self, looking like a brown-haired Zena again except with less clothing.( now that's an outfit )

Flaust looks to see if any of the doors in the hall are opening, but they remain closed for the moment.

Flaust waits until one of the party looks her direction and points to the door from which she previously heard sounds, and then wiggle her fingers toward her ear, ending the motion by tugging her ear.

Gareth motions to Tiburon to close the door.

Tiburon grabs the door and ,with one last look outside ,yanks it closed.

Gareth positions himself in the doorway until the door begins to close. Once the door is closed he whispers "So much for surprise. Let's find a way in fast." He grabs a nearby chair and forces it under the latch wedging the door closed for the moment.

Nonam says, "Somebody spike the door closed quick!"

Onrad says, "We must take out the controller. Not defeat every undead we meet. Push forward. Go!"

Jerry says: I'm back from YMCA camp. We took all of our 5th graders. Verra nice. Verra sore. Lot's of personal breakthroughs for the kids. I'll tell y'all more about it later as time permits.

Jerry says: Steven Hott had his first son Wed. around noon. Coby Steven Hott. 7 pounds, plus some ounces. Ask uncle David Hott for details beyond that. If you want to call Steve and congratulate him his phone number is available from either me or David.

The Necromancer's Stones: Turn 44
Monday March 9th, 1998 4:00:40 AM

Nonam says, "It seems that I agree with Onrad. Let's get moving. Flaust, if you would lead the way..." He then makes an elaborate gesture indicating that he will follow her.

Onrad positions himself in the back watching protecting the casters from attacks from that location. He whispers, "Gareth and Jus. Let me know if one of you needs a break from the front for healing or a third fighter up there."

Gareth whispers "I have nothing to spike the door with. Anybody?" Gareth wedges the skeleton's swords into the stones at the base of the door and then moves away from the door down the hall . He moves to the closed door that had the movement and waits for the party to assemble.

Jus goes to the door and tries to listen to what is happening inside. But since he's close to Flaust and her silence spell, he can't hear anything. He then mouths that he is willing to open the door, but would someone first check the door for traps.

As the party comes over to Flaust and the door : Flaust points to her chest, then extends her hand near the knob/latch and moves her hand as if opening it, and finally makes a slow pushing-away motion toward the door.

Tiburon waves to Flaust to wait for a moment . He mouths to the fighters to look first don't just start hacking away backs out of the silence and cast a spell. He then nods to Flaust to continue.

Flaust holds up her fist, then extends three fingers, one at a time. After this, she tries the handle, opening the door a crack to peer inside. She sees a figure standing with its' back to her , she steps back and pushes the door wide open.

That done, Jus and Gareth step through the door, ready to fight.

David Hott-Hey! That's Xena not Zena. ( I just cut and paste not spell )

David Hott-Steve is quite proud of his son. He should be. He looks like Melody. Mom described his response at the birth as "Sweet". I rather enjoy the thought of Stephen being described as "Sweet". I even more greatly enjoy the idea of Stephen's reaction to being referred to as "Sweet" by someone he would never say a cross word to. Life gets no better than that! I'll especially enjoy seeing Steve deal with a 4 year old boy after all the condescending looks I got implying MY kids were out of control. I don't know if I can stand it! God is indeed good.

The Necromancer's Stones: Turn 45
Tuesday March 10th, 1998 4:00:40 AM

Nonam tries to get a better look at the figure in the room.

The figure looks up and cocks its' head to one side. It turns around and Gareth and Jus see a Human male wearing only a loin-cloth and an iron collar around its' neck. It seems to say something to them but they can't make it out.

Tiburon sees this from the hall and motions Flaust to go down the hall a bit.

Jus takes a quick glance around the room then walks to the front of the figure, always facing it and ready for battle.

Flaust moves down the hallway, using her Silence to mask the party's entrance into the room. She watches down the hallway as she moves toward the stairs, concerned about possible attacks from that direction.

Onrad continues to watch both the outside door and towards where Flaust said the stairs are.

As Flaust moves away and sound returns, the man says, " Have you come to rescue me ? I was trapped by the evil wizard who lives here when I came to slay him. My name is Aventine, and I'm a Paladin of Domi."

Flaust reaches the stairs and starts to study them closely. She notes , with the spells help, that the trap seems to be triggered by stepping on the stairs but she can't find anything that would cause any damage to her.

Keith- Jerry, you may have missed Flaust's description of the hallway. There are 2 doors in the hall and you are at one 10' distant from the entry on the left side. there is another one at the 30' mark on the right side and stairs at the 50' mark on the left.

The Necromancer's Stones: Jericho Comments
Wednesday March 11th, 1998 4:00:40 AM

Introduction From The Jericho: The one month adventure heads into its third month proving once again that the email game is a slow game. However, rereading the episodes while editing for putting them on the website still confirms that it is a fun and enjoyable method of playing. Especially for friends who used to play face to face and now are separated by distance.  It is taking anywhere from 1 to 2 hours for me to run a turn, (I don't know how long it takes Keith [grin]) but it is still worth it. Enter Aventine the arrogant Paladin.

The Necromancer's Stones: Turn 46
Wednesday March 11th, 1998 4:30:40 AM

Nonam walks up the man and inspects his chains. He tries to see if there is some type of catch where he can set him free. He notices that there is a lock on the back where the chain and collar meet.

Gareth says "How were you captured and why didn't he kill you outright? Seems unusual he would keep you alive."

Aventine replies, " He said he was going to sacrifice me in some rite he is going to perform."

Gareth then says," You must prove you are a Paladin of Domi!"

Aventine looks at him and says," First ,who are you and why must I prove anything to you? If you're here to defeat the Necromancer, release me and help. If not, release me and get out of my way."

Tiburon starts looking around the room and sees a chest across the room from the prisoner and a key hanging on a peg on the wall.

After he answers to the party Gareth says "Can anyone check if he's telling the truth?"

Gareth says, "Tiburon, can you pick the lock?"

Tiburon turns to Gareth and says, " Uh..look Gareth, I'm a Priest, not a thief. Why don't we ask him if this key will do the trick? "

Aventine says, " Yes , that's the key to these chains. He taunts me by placing it out of my reach, but in my sight. "

Tiburon walks over and takes the key off the peg and looks closely at it.

Onrad whispers, "Ask him where the Necromancer is. My opinion is that this is a distraction placed here by the Necromancer to slow us down. I suggest that we leave him here and keep moving toward the Necromancer. Skip the doors and head for the stairs."

Nonam nods to Onrad and asks Aventine," Where is the Necromancer ?"

Aventine looks at Nonam and says," He said he lives upstairs so I'd guess that's where he is. I haven't seen him in a day or two though."

Onrad whispers to Nonam," See, I think he's just a distraction. Lets leave him and go."

Tiburon looks at the others and gestures with the key," Any objections ?"

Gareth says," Go ahead."

Onrad says," Leave him, let's go on ourselves."

Nonam and Jus look at Tiburon and nod to proceed.

As they try to release him, Jus tells Aventine, "I believe the skeletons in the hallway have weapons you may use. I don't recall, but they might even have shields. If you need something else, you can use my short or long

sword; your choice."

With that ,Tiburon moves over and opens the lock.

Once freed Gareth asks "Do you know where your armor is?"

Aventine rubs his neck after removing the collar and walks over to the chest." Yes, He put all my stuff in here to further taunt me." He opens the chest and inside lies armor , shield , and sword. All decorated with the holy symbols of Domi. Aventine immediately starts donning the armor.

" Where is your horse? We didn't see her in the swamp. We are here for

the Stones and to dispatch this evil wizard as well. He has killed many innocent people. Come with us and we'll finish the job together!"

" I didn't bring him into the swamp," says Aventine," He's still at Osto."

Jus looks Aventine over trying to determine how agile he is.

Jus tells Aventine, "Let us know if you need anything else, you're welcome to join us; but you'll have to help."

Jus looks around the room for anything else of interest, only seeing a tray of food and some bedding. He walks out the room and goes down to the second door.

Looking up the stairs, past the 10' trapped area, Flaust sees the solid stone staircase leading to a landing 20 feet up.( 10' past the trapped area) There is nothing protruding from the walls and a only a small globe of light above the door at the landing.

The Necromancer's Stones: Turn 47
Thursday March 12th, 1998 4:00:40 AM

Nonam says, "Now I agree that we need to be careful, but do you think an evil necromancer or his minions would wear armor bearing symbols of Domi? I thought the gods obliterate people for doing things like that... Tiburon, you're a priest of Domi, what do you think about the subject?"

Tiburon replies," I don't know about obliterating someone, but I'm pretty sure that an evil person would be adverse to wearing them."

Nonam, hoping Flaust knows what she's doing wandering around on her own, follows Jus to the second room.

As Nonam says that, Aventine looks at Tiburon , smiles and says," Well met, Brother Tiburon." He then returns to donning his armor.

Kat close to Aventine and begins to flirt with him to assure he is always close to her, just in case.

Onrad exits the room and once again takes up the rear position as the party proceeds.

Onrad asks, "Aventine, why don't you join me at the rear of the party."

"My skills would do much more good at the front of the party than the rear." says Aventine," I couldn't let anyone face dangers that I wouldn't face." With that , Aventine walks to Gareth and says," Shall we proceed ?"

Jus signals to Flaust to open the next door. He then lets Gareth know he is ready to go in like last time.

Leaving the Silenced pebble at the foot of the stairs, Flaust runs over to the group and asks the two strongest-looking people (not the paladin) to come over immediately and help.

Flaust explains, "I need someone to toss me past the trap so I can set nail down the combat net the group to cross. I want to nail some spikes into the floor while there's still time, and run and have you nail down net at the bottom of the stairs. It should make it easy to cross over the stairs."

The Necromancer's Stones: Turn 48
Friday March 13th, 1998 4:00:40 AM

Nonam looks at Flaust and says. "Huh?"

Flaust says, "My spells won't last for ever -- let's take advantage of them. The mage is further up in the tower, and he's our target."

Onrad says, "Aventine is who he says. I believe him."

"I don't think it matters how quiet we now are," Jus says. "It is obvious are presence is known."

Gareth says to Aventine as he is getting ready "Sorry to have doubted you. Just being careful. Nobody mentioned you in Osto. Did anyone know you came here? "

Aventine replies, " No."

Gareth says," Where did you stay and what stable has your horse?"

Aventine , as he puts the last piece of armor says," Nowhere, none."

Gareth asks," Have you been here long?"

Aventine looks at Gareth for a moment, then replies," Too long."

Gareth says," Can you tell us about the layout?"

Aventine says as he looks around the room," It looks to be about 20' by 30' from here."

Gareth asks," Where did the Necromancer capture you? We should be careful not to fall into the same trap. There are 100s of undead creatures outside. They came up out of the swamp when we entered. "

Aventine snorts," You did... I know."

Gareth asks," Did you get the same reception? "

Aventine just stares at Gareth.

Gareth says, "May I see your sword?"

Aventine picks up his sword from the chest, stares down the blade at Gareth and slides it into his scabbard as he says, " See?" <shhick

Gareth tries to inspect Aventine's sword to make sure it is a paladin's blade, but all he can make out is that it is a long sword of fine quality before its slid into its scabbard.

Gareth says " Uh..A fine sword you have! Let's go use it! "

Aventine looks at Gareth and replies," I know.. and I will."

Gareth says, "My name is Gareth Justinian. We are The Three. "

Aventine glances around and says," If you say so.."

Gareth says, "We have come to destroy the Necromancer and recover the Stones. We would be honored to join forces with a Paladin of Domi. "

Aventine settles his armor and replies without looking," As well you should be."

Gareth asks, "Who is the priest in Osto who called you? I didn't meet him."

Aventine shakes his head and sighs," Domi called me, of course. Shall we go?"

With that ,Gareth moves out to the hallway to the next door. He whispers to Aventine "I imagine you will want to be up front. Maybe we can avoid the traps together." Gareth is suspicious but gives the benefit of the doubt for now.

Aventine steps past Gareth and says," I'll lead." He then walks to the second door where the rest of the people are. " Are you going to waste time down here or go after the Necromancer ? He'll be upstairs preparing for the sacrifice. That's where I'm going what about you ?"

Gareth says to Aventine, "Let's go." He moves into the hall to the next door. He whispers to Flaust "Just a minute..." He listens at the door and doesn't hear anything.

On the way by, Gareth whispers "Sorry Tiberon, I had my mind on something else. Wasn't thinking."

The Necromancer's Stones: Turn 49
Monday March 16th, 1998 4:00:40 AM

Flaust says to Jus, "I still have some time left with the Find Traps spell -- we need to move while it's still in effect."

To the group, Flaust says, "I need of couple of you guys to swing me and toss me 12' up the stairs, past the mechanical trap, which is triggered by touch. Once at the top end, I'll nail down the combat net, and toss down the other end to you. Nail your side down, and come on up."

Onrad says "In answer to your question, pal, I follow Gareth and my friends. When you're ready Gareth, I am."

Gareth says in a very aggravated tone "You have quite an opinion of yourself for someone who was captured by our current adversary. Being a paladin and not even having shame for being taken alive! I'll be glad to watch it happen again if that is your attitude toward the ones who just saved your life. You're like no paladin I've ever met or heard of before. Since you're in such a hurry, why don't you go and see your captor again ALONE! If you want to go with us fine. Get in formation. Otherwise forget it. Go alone."

Aventine replies," Oh, I didn't realize I was in the presence of Gareth the Legion Killer. He who fights and slays hundreds of foes at once. What is more honorable, as if you knew, to die pointlessly or survive and find a way to complete your task? I placed my faith in Domi and he delivered you people to release me . "

Gareth looks at the others and says "I want to hear your opinions.".

Onrad snorts and says, "If I were Nonam about now I'd say something like 'Who made you boss, huh? You are a guest amongst us. Act like one! Oh, and pal, wipe our your ears. I think there's a little pus there from the swelling of your head'.....and for once I'd agree with him......should he say something like that. I hate Lawful Arrogant"

Nonam says with a smile," I might not have said it just THAT way, but its' pretty close."

Turning to Onrad, Aventine says," Oh such impressive words, especially from one who hides in the back. Ready to run like a coward, I'd guess. As to my attitude, I can see why it daunts you. I'm a Chosen Warrior of my god Domi, and you are just another fighter. Do what you will, I have a mission to finish." Saying that , Aventine turns and walks to the foot of the stairs.

Onrad grins and says, "Lead on mighty Gareth!"

Tiburon looks at both Aventine and Gareth, torn between following a Warrior of Domi and staying with his friends. He looks back and forth a few time, sighs and says," Domi forgive me, but I must stay with my friends. Please bless and aid your Chosen one in his task." Then Tiburon walks over to stand beside Gareth.

"What do we do now, Gareth ?" asks Tiburon.

Flaust will go over and toss her combat net onto the stairs, holding the draw line so that she can, hopefully, retrieve the net.

Below-The-Line (OOC) Comments
Monday March 16th, 1998 4:30:40 AM

For the record, Gareth has had experience with a specific Paladin. He taught him honor and fighting ability. He has a specific idea of what a Paladin is. Add that to Gareth's temperament, youth, and current position in the party and a challenge to his leadership is not welcome by him. He will not allow an outsider who he doesn't like or trust to lead the party. It will be a hard sell. Especially with Aventine's disposition.

Flaust-At this point both my Silence spell and Invis. to Undead spell should be finished.

Subj: Thursday's turn

Sorry about there not being a turn on Thursday, I wasn't feeling well and didn't do one. I will do one today though.

The Necromancer's Stones: Turn 50
Tuesday March 17th, 1998 4:00:40 AM

Flaust is agitated, hopping up and down on one leg -- mentally shouting, 'MOVE!'

Seeing Tiberion's dilemma Gareth, with great restraint and effort says "Although it would serve you right, it would be foolish for us to attempt this separately - especially since you have proven inadequate for the job by yourself. We will go together. A paladin's place is at the front so we will lead together. If we don't succeed I will indeed need to be a Legion Killer as one is waiting for us outside. It's a good idea to go after Som first - especially if you know where he is. I do, however, intend to purge this place of ALL evil before we leave. After we dispatch this evil being you will leave us. We have no use for one such as you among us. And I'm sure Domi will have use for your mouth somewhere else."

Aventine stops for a moment on his way to the stairs, looks back at Gareth with a steel-eyed stare, then turns and continues to the foot of the stairs.

Gareth walks to the foot of the stair with Aventine and says "Help me toss Flaust over the trap."

Aventine motions to Flaust to come over where they can get a grip on her.

Flaust casts Lighten Load on herself, to reduce her weight (something every woman would love to do :) ).

Gareth watches Aventine closely not yet convinced a true paladin would act in such a way. He looks for any inconsistency.

Gareth and Aventine both get a grip on Flaust and with one fluid motion, toss her up the stairs.

Jus opens the door and sees what is inside. He sees a familiar figure chained hand and foot to the wall with a gag in his mouth. Jus rubs his eyes , shakes his head , points at the figure and says, " Talvik !"

Nonam looks in and says with a smile, " What are you doing hanging around here ?"

Flaust holds onto the draw line of the net. Once at the top, she quickly nails down her side of the netting, and keeps watch while the group proceeds.

The Necromancer's Stones: Turn 51
Thursday March 19th, 1998 4:00:40 AM

Aventine walks up the stairs to join Flaust on the landing at the door.

Tiburon enters the room and walks over to the chained Talvik. He reaches up and pulls the gag out of Talvik's mouth and says, " What are you doing here ? I thought you wanted to stay away from Osto ? "

Talvik says," I decided to come after all, did you know there is a very strange Giant in the Hills ? Well, never mind that, I followed word of you and must have missed you on the way to this tower yesterday. I walked up to it to see if there was any sign of your being here and the next thing I knew there was a BUNCH of critters around me. They herded me into the tower and a guy calling himself Som cast a spell on me and chained me here. Will you let me down now ?"

Nonam cups his chin with a hand and says," I don't know, you make such a good wall hanging ." He smiles as his hair turns first blue then green.

Flaust rummages around in her pack and pulls out a small cup. She then starts to put it against the door but Aventine reaches around her and pulls the door ajar.

Gareth looks back at the others and says "Get him and hurry? We must get to the Necromancer quickly." Gareth moves up the stairs and defends as the others get up the stairs.

Jus quickly lets Talvik out and takes a cursory look around the room. "Good to see you again, Talvik. Care to join us?"

" I'd love to," says Talvik, " just let me get my stuff from over there." Talvik points to a pile of items lying in the corner.

Getting back to the stairs, Jus tries to quietly call ahead, "Aventine, do you, also, know the secret to stop the necromancer? You and Gareth might want to wait for the whole group."

Aventine looks back down at Jus and says," You stop him by killing him, don't you think."

Flaust-Oh man...and I was just getting into this thieving business! Well, glad to have Talvik back!

Tony- Hi guys ! I've finally gotten some time to try and play again.

The Necromancer's Stones: Turn 52
Friday March 20th, 1998 4:00:40 AM

"I'm talking about the stones," Jus comments to Aventine, as he crosses the trapped area.

Aventine looks at Jus and says," What stones?" Then he steps through the open doorway into the hallway beyond.

Gareth looks through the open door. He sees that the hall runs from his right to his left , with a wall at the right end. He says to Aventine "Although I hate to do it. We'd better wait for the others a moment before proceeding just as we did for you. Together we are stronger." He takes position at the door. As he's waiting, he makes sure to loosen his bow and open a quiver to allow quick access. He waits for the others - even if Aventine decides to proceed.

If the party takes more than a moment to get up the stairs Gareth begins to advance anyway saying over his shoulder in a loud whisper "Hurry!". Nonam carefully goes up the combat net to join the others. While going up he asks, "So Talvik, why did you come in here?"

" Huh.. I told you, I was following after you guys." says Talvik.

Flaust says to Aventine, "Why didn't he stop you by killing you? He probably could have stood to add you and Talvik to his undead collection...something else is going on here. I once knew a paladin who killed an apparently evil man, but it turned out that the man was being controlled -- there were plenty of clues to this, the man kept struggling in little ways that wouldn't be noticed by his controller, but the paladin was blind to it all. Afterwards, the paladin was stripped of his station...please have a care, Aventine."

Aventine says to Flaust," You don't listen very well, do you."

Onrad says, "I'll take care of Talvik and you guys get on upstairs. I still think that these two were placed here to slow us down for some reason."

Onrad sees that Talvik is equipped properly.

A door opens down the hall and a tall, olive skinned man steps into the hall flanked by four skeletons. " I see you have managed to get free. Well with all these others here, I guess I don't need you after all," says Som. "Keep one alive but kill the rest," he says to the skeletons and turns back to the door.

The Necromancer's Stones: Turn 53
Monday March 23rd, 1998 4:00:40 AM

Som disappears through the doorway on the right side of the wall as the skeletons move down the hall.

Aventine whips his sword from its scabbard and moves to the skeletons on the right side of the hall.

Gareth draws his sword and with shield in front charges the skeletons. He attempts to ram the two on the left . They meet him , with a resounding crash, but everyone remains on their feet.

Jus begins to speak arcane words and make gestures .

Flaust moves through the doorway and gets out of the way .She begins searching for secret/concealed openings.

Gareth asks Aventine "Where did he get you with the spell? Here or farther in?"

Kat peeks through the doorway, then moves into the hallway.

Tiburon, Talvik ( now properly adorned ), and Onrad move to and up the stairs to the landing.

The Necromancer's Stones: Turn 54
Wednesday March 25th, 1998 4:00:40 AM

Jus pulls out his sword (just one of them due to the small hallway), and moves to have at the Skeletons. He quickly realizes that the corridor is too small for more than two people to fight in.

Nonam hastily begins to make a couple of molotov cocktails out of 2 of the flasks of oil.

Gareth attacks the first skeleton maneuvering so that only one skeleton can attack at a time. He is careful not to interfere with Aventine's assault. He swings and hits the first one splintering its rib-cage but not knocking it down. It swings back but misses. The other skeleton moves around and takes a poke at Gareth but doesn't hit him.

Aventine swings his sword and hits the skeleton in front of him, he swings again and breaks the skeleton into a pile of bones. The other skeleton swings at Aventine , but the blow glances off his armor.

Flaust stays out of the way and continues searching for secret doors and openings. She will concentrate on the section of the hall nearest the stairs, and slowly make her way to the center of the hall.

Onrad, Tiburon, and Talvik move into the hall beside Kat.

Talvik takes out his flint and tender and begins to light a torch.

Below-The-Line (OOC) Comments
Wednesday March 25th, 1998 4:30:40 AM

Flaust-Jerry, liked your map. However, the stairs should be placed exiting the left side of the hallway that Aventine's and Talvik's rooms are located on, rather that at the end of the hallway, which presumably, terminates at the outer wall of the tower. See description given in Turn 45.

Keith- The stairs start on the left side of the corridor at the end of it. They go upwards and end in a landing with a door that opens into a corridor directly above the one on the first floor.

Keith- Nonam, you could use the Firefinger cantrip to ignite it if you had it memorized. try burning hands instead :^)

The Necromancer's Stones: Turn 55
Friday March 27th, 1998 4:00:40 AM

Gareth continues his assault on the first skeleton. He swings but misses the skeleton on the fore-stroke but on the return he smashes his bony advisory to pieces.

Jus flinks his two daggers at the foes, careful to avoid hitting Gareth or Aventine. One dagger glances off a Skeleton while the other does minimal damage.

Talvik will move up to Nonam, "hey, need a light?" He will say holding the burning torch out to him

Nonam says , " Sure, it saves me from using a cantrip to light it."

Aventine turns to engage the last remaining foe and says," Go after the Mage, I'll finish this thing off." With that he swings at the Skeleton but only manages to hack an arm off of it.

Flaust continues to search the hallway for secret or concealed doors. She doesn't find any this round.

Kat and Onrad move towards the combat down the hall.

The Necromancer's Stones: Turn 56
Wednesday April 1st, 1998 4:00:40 AM

Jus tries to get to the door the mage went through; dodging and rolling to try and avoid any strikes from the Skeletons. Regardless of where he can get, he looks around trying to see if the floor is greasy anywhere. It appears to be greasy right in front of the door that Som disappeared through.

Giving up on the secret door theory, Flaust runs, slipping past the fighting, and falls flat on her face from the grease on the floor.

Nonam says, "Never mind about the torch. I think it's a little crowded in here to be doing that. I was getting ready in case more skeletons came in... I wouldn't mind carrying the torch though, but give me a minute." Nonam carefully puts the readied flasks into his belt pouch, and then he proceeds to make two new cocktails. (Assuming time permits this turn) When finished he puts the two newly prepared flasks into his pouch with the other two, and he takes the torch from Talvik.

Aventine moves to attack the last remaining skeleton but slips on some greasy substance on the floor. He manages to catch himself before he falls but is hopelessly out of position to attack the skeleton.

Talvik, Tiburon, Kat, Onrad and Nonam move down the hall towards the door.

Gareth attacks the last skeleton in front of him (the second). He hits it and manages to knock it apart with one mighty blow. Gareth moves down the hall toward where Som disappeared and into a very slippery, greasy area in front of the door.

Onrad continues to watch for attack from the rear and keeps the way open to escape if needed. He also watches for injuries up front saying, "Gareth, I can get there at a moment's notice. Just call. Otherwise, I'll watch the back. With three fighters up there (by this he means Aventine, Jus, and Gareth) there's not room for more. I'm also ready to switch with anyone who gets injured."

Jerry says to Everyone: I've been without a computer at home since last Thursday and haven't been committed yet. However, I've come close several times. I don't know when David will finish with it. So Keith or JK may need to run my turns on Thurs and Fri if I haven't received it yet. Keith, I'll let you know when I get it back. David has my heartfelt thanks for being willing to spend all this time getting it to work right. He's added memory up to 80 mg. put in a 6.4 gig hard drive using my 1.5 one as a slave. He's replaced my CDROM as well since it busted.

Also, upon the return of the computer I'll get back to work on the website. I should have up the online game within a week or so. Go check it out. I also have new legends to include, 4 redone maps to help the appearance of the page, a links page to do, and then JK will add a Message Board as he gets some time later in the spring at which time we'll give playing by message board rather than email a try.

David Hott-Keith, I reread the turns and I think we have only killed two skeletons as of this turn. Aventine one and Gareth one. Aventine got an attack on his last skeleton, Gareth did not as it took three attacks to kill the first skeleton. Gareth killed his first this turn, Aventine damaged his second this turn. Still two standing. Good job on the module. Glad your doing it. Good insertion of the characters (I'm assuming they were not planned events until after the module began). Keep up the good work.
