Ahkum Tuesday June 6th, 2000 3:11:59 PM
The manta ray continues to follow the group keeping a close 'eye' on the surrounding gloom. (sorry for the delay)
DM Kent Tuesday June 6th, 2000 6:13:59 PM
The group slowly makes their way towards the crabmen's island lair, encountering nothing but the occasional fish. In fact there seems to be very little life in the area which you are passing through. After about four miles of travel the water takes on a very murky look and has a very metallic and tangy taste. There are pieces of things floating around in the water, which you eventually realize are pieces of body parts. Some of them are chopped up, some are charred and several pieces look as if the flesh has melted right off of the bone. There is also an increase in critter activity. However the majority of the critters that you see are scavengers, trash eaters and quite a few sharks.
Bill Troublefinder Wednesday June 7th, 2000 3:14:59 AM
Bill wonders at the metallic smell. Having a hobbit's sensitive sense of taste, he attempts to discern what kind of metals are in the water. Ferrous? Aluminum? Tin? Precious metals? Other? He has infravision, and declines K'isst's offer to tie himself to a rope.
Sedar Wednesday June 7th, 2000 6:03:59 AM
Taking in the odd scene and smells, the 1/2 elf slows his efforts against the head. pondering what the metal could be "hmmmmm"
Draax Wednesday June 7th, 2000 7:26:59 AM
Draax wonders what could have caused all the dead bodies to be in the condition that they are in.
Arien Wednesday June 7th, 2000 10:10:59 AM
Arien, not wanting another shark attack communicates to the others that they should go around this area.
Bill Troublefinder Thursday June 8th, 2000 1:04:59 AM
Bill just hopes that all the fleshy debris will keep the sharks occupied and sated. He is inclined to continue straight on.
Arrisa Thursday June 8th, 2000 2:46:59 AM
Arrisa decides to continue on and hopes the sharks continue to eat the current dead flesh hanging around. She occasionally checks herself to see if she is still normal
Rond Thursday June 8th, 2000 3:05:59 AM
Rond continues pushing, hoping that our allies are still there.
Ahkum Thursday June 8th, 2000 5:17:59 AM
[ooc: sorry everybody I have been busy with college related stuffs. I am back in gear now.] The manta ray swims along eyes shifting about warily keeping an eye out for whatever caused such vicious carnage. Occasionally (since it swims faster than the others I'd guess) swimming back to check the rear and flanks of the intrepid group of adventurers.
DM Kent Thursday June 8th, 2000 4:28:59 PM
The metallic taste in the water, seems to be from the unbelievable amounts of blood in the water. The body parts while all humanoid, are not all human. As the group moves on they also come across some large hacked up shark carcasses and up ahead can only be the remains of a young dragon. The dragon's wings are torn to ribbons and it is covered with many wounds, though none of them look fatal. As you get closer to the Crabman's lair there are more and more dead bodies of all kinds. Up ahead you see the glow of some sort of light.
Bill Troublefinder Thursday June 8th, 2000 8:09:59 PM
He shudders at the carnage. Bill takes the time to see what races, what species, what wide array of combatants' and victims' remains are in the area, what color the dragon. He wants to remember them in the poem he promised the Sisters. And he wonders what effect, if any, being bathed in this mixed blood will have upon him and his friends, whose faces he scans to gauge their reactions, exchanging grimaces and sad countenance. And will it affect the Sentinel Head? The troubled little Troublefinder nevertheless moves resolutely onward toward the light. But a thought intrudes ... shall we come in this way, or go around to the opposite entrance?
Bill Troublefinder Friday June 9th, 2000 3:54:59 AM
As they draw nearer the dragon, Bill looks to see if it is still alive.
Draax Friday June 9th, 2000 4:08:59 AM
Draax looks at some of the bodies as he passes them while pushing the head. He tries to discern what type of weapon could have caused the wounds besides the shark bites.
K'isst Friday June 9th, 2000 7:08:59 AM
Shouting K'isst says, "I think we have to proceed straight or at least to the crab men's lair and to Atomos. We made a promise there. Can we circumvent some of this and still arrive at the crab men's lair?" She nods as everyone seems to be seeing fine and starts rotating with the others pushing the head as it's not so hard to push down here (ooc: if I remember correctly)
Rond Friday June 9th, 2000 10:28:59 PM
Rond continues to push with a renewed focus on getting there as fast as possible.
Arien Friday June 9th, 2000 11:06:59 PM
Arien takes a moment to gather his courage and continues along with the group, keeping a wary eye on the sharks, remembering something about how the frenzy around blood.
Arrisa Friday June 9th, 2000 11:39:59 PM
Not knowing where she is supposed to be going, Arrisa follows the rest of the group
Ahkum Saturday June 10th, 2000 5:24:59 AM
The mage swims about and then slinks up to the dragon looking on in wonder along with the intrepid hero bill. The ray turns it's gaze back to the group to assure that the group is still intact.
DM Kent ( d20=11 d20=19 Sunday June 11th, 2000 7:23:59 PM
As Bill and Ahkum approach the dragon, it appears as if the dragon's eyes are following their movement, as they get within a few feet of it it is very obvious that the dragon's eyes are following them (Bill and Ahkum roll surprise at -2). Just as they notice this the eyes shoot out of the dragons head straight at the two inquisitive adventurers are attacked by two moray eels that have taken up residence in the dead dragon's skull. Ahkum's larger manta ray shape enables the moray eel to take a good sized bite out of him with those razor sharp teeth causing 4 points of damage, while the eel attacking Bill narrowly misses. The others take note that while there are quite a few shark bite looking wounds, there are also many weapon wounds visible as well and some that look like they were probably made by the dragon as well. As you approach the crabmen's lair you see the source of light there are five glowing, basketball-sized pearls place around the cave's entry and around each pearl are an assortment of aquatic elves and crabmen all armed to the teeth and many of them wounded. As they sight you, they form up in defensive ranks and you see at least 30 loaded spearguns pointing your way. You all are currently 60 ft away.
Bill Troublefinder d20=2 Sunday June 11th, 2000 8:50:59 PM
Bill fires his speargun at the attacking eel, but the arrow misses it by a mile (approximately :). His sword is out to attack the moray on its next pass.
Bill Troublefinder Sunday June 11th, 2000 8:51:59 PM
And just what color is the dragon?
Arrisa Sunday June 11th, 2000 10:27:59 PM
Arrisa makes sure she has a hand on her quarterstaff. She swims away from the eel's but towards the elves and crabmen, trying not look threatening
Bill Troublefinder d10-2=5 Monday June 12th, 2000 1:13:59 AM
[Rolled for surprise at -2: Not surprised.]
K'isst d20=4 Monday June 12th, 2000 1:30:59 AM
Realizing the need to take care of these eels quickly, so we can deal with what looks to be an angry group of undersea peoples, K'isst does a quick bow to the Crabmen and elves. She says, "Your help would be appreciated honored ones," in elvish and then moves to attack an eel. She closes and misses.
Draax d20=5 Monday June 12th, 2000 3:26:59 AM
Draax see the sea elves and crabmen, he then stops pushing the head and turns to look at the attacking eels. Irritated at another delay, he moves over to get a swing at an eel, but misses.
Sedar Monday June 12th, 2000 4:41:59 AM
Likewise annoyed at another delay. The 1/2 elf pushes onward, towards the sea-elves.
Ahkum d10-2=0 Monday June 12th, 2000 6:45:59 AM
The eel is totally surprised by the attack of the eels recoiling in fear of the attack. The searing bite of the creature sends the ray into a painful twisting motion as its blood blends with the surrounding sea water.
Rond Monday June 12th, 2000 5:16:59 PM
Rond continues to push the head. He does take time to try to assess what the attitude of the other humanoids are like, and he'll stop pushing if it looks like hostility.
DM Kent Monday June 12th, 2000 9:12:59 PM
Having been disturbed and attacked the eels quickly swim off vanishing among all the debris. The dragon looks like it might have been a dark green or possibly black, though its hard to say in the light and to the fact that the dragon looks like it has been dead for at least a month. The group of elves and crabmen have made no further move toward you other than to get into a defensive formation and watch.
K'isst Tuesday June 13th, 2000 2:19:59 AM
K'isst turns her weapon forked side down in a nonoffensive gesture and bows again before beginning to approach the group. She tries to determine the expressions on their face and why they might have reason to be aggressive just in case that they are. Then she realizes that if they are, the group is toast and so she must be sure that doesn't happen. "Hail! We have suffered much. Two of our number hath died. We grieve. However, we have the head and thus hurry to the shore to prevent further dragon incursions. We thank thee for your advice, friendship, and passage through your lands. We are at your service. How may we do that?"
Bill Troublefinder Tuesday June 13th, 2000 4:42:59 AM
Bill checks Ahkum, but is at a loss as to how to bind the wounds of a manta ray. "Our friend, who looks like a ray," and Bill points to Ahkum's present form, "is hurt. Can you help him? Is the battle quite over?" Bill wishes he had one of those Airy Water scrolls so they could talk better. He sheaths his sword. "How is Atomos?" Bill is also puzzled as to why the dragon would have been dead for a month or so. He hadn't noticed it on the way in, maybe half a day ago as far as he knows. [Again, from the adventurers' perspective, how long since we left the crabmen? In this format, time markers seem scarce.]
Arrisa Tuesday June 13th, 2000 2:20:59 PM
Arrisa swims over to the elves and crabmen, hoping that they will realize she is also an elf. She speaks in elven. "Excuse me, do you think you could actually give us a hand here?"
Rond (I think I can, I think I can) Tuesday June 13th, 2000 5:31:59 PM

Draax Wednesday June 14th, 2000 1:42:59 AM
Draax puts away his sword and helps push the head while keeping an eye on the elves and crabmen as the group gets nearer to them.
Sedar Wednesday June 14th, 2000 3:55:59 AM
Welcomes the help of the others in pushing the head. "lets hurry up"
Ahkum Wednesday June 14th, 2000 6:42:59 AM
The ray swims behind the group looking in a world of pain. It slowly swims about and then settles to the bottom waiting for the group to converse with the elves and crabmen.
Bill Troublefinder Wednesday June 14th, 2000 7:15:59 PM
Bill swims up to the elf-crabmen coalition, hand upraised. "Hi! Do any of you remember us? We were here a couple days ago. The Temple of Sekola is collapsed. We need to see The Giant." He says this first in common, then in elvish, though in the latter he uses the word for 'Titan' in lieu of 'Giant.'
DM Kent (glubglub, glubglubglub, glub glub glubglub) Wednesday June 14th, 2000 9:56:59 PM
The group approaches the undersea coalition and Bill starts talking, at least you see his lips moving and bubbles come out, but you don't hear much of anything but slurred glubs. The crabmen look both excited and scared nervous at your presence, while the elves just look nervous and perhaps a bit puzzled. Many of the crabmen and seaelves sport both freshly bandaged wounds and scars from recently healed wounds. As Bill continues to try to speak a very old robed elf steps through the crowd, looks at you all and then nods. Waving you forward, he indicates that you should enter the cavern systems. The elf/crab coalition form up ranks around you and start ushering you inside.
Bill Troublefinder Thursday June 15th, 2000 12:57:59 AM
Bill looks back at Ahkum lying on the seafloor. He holds up a finger to indicate he will be right with them, then grabs hold of Ahkum's front edge, and pulls the injured ray through the water to the caverns. He says something to Ahkum that sounds first sympathetic, then cheerful.
Draax Thursday June 15th, 2000 7:04:59 AM
Draax lets himself be ushered inside with the others. He knows that the crabmen and elves are supposed to be on their side, but he still gets a little nervous when they surround them.
K'isst Thursday June 15th, 2000 11:07:59 AM
K'isst goes along as indicated, looking at some of the wounded among their escort.
Ahkum Thursday June 15th, 2000 3:00:59 PM
The manta ray swims behind reluctantly following the halfling into the towards the cave.
Arrisa Friday June 16th, 2000 3:04:59 AM
Arrisa walks along, following their escort. She keeps a hand on her quarterstaff
Rond Friday June 16th, 2000 5:47:59 AM
With renewed vigor, Rond continues on.
DM Kent (ah to be able to speak again) Friday June 16th, 2000 7:14:59 AM
As you all are accompanied into the caves, you are led up an underwater staircase and son you find yourself exiting into the open air. After a few moments several crabmen enter the chamber leading their chieftain. The chief walks up to you all and says, So, you still live? We feared you had perished?
Sedar the Air breather Sunday June 18th, 2000 4:45:59 AM
Deeply inhaling a fresh breath, the 1/2 elf takes a moment before replying to the chieftain. "There were times when I thought we would not return also, but we have come back. We bring the hammer for Atomos' release." turns to see who actually comes up with it. "We have little time to waste."
Draax Sunday June 18th, 2000 5:15:59 AM
Draax bows to the chieftain. "Some of our original comrades were not fortunate enough to survive our retrieval of the head and hammer. We brought their bodies back along with the head and hammer. I am very happy that we made it this far, but the job is not over. We still have to deliver the items and can you tell us what has taken place while we were gone. The sight of the dead dragon in the water was very surprising."
Arien d3=2 Sunday June 18th, 2000 8:30:59 PM
Hiding a large yawn behind his hand, Arien waits to see what has developed while they were in the temple. (Die roll is for thief hp, went up a level. Will send modified character sheet later today)
Rond (I think I can, I think I can) Monday June 19th, 2000 7:20:59 AM
Rond gets stuck doing stretches!
Ahkum Monday June 19th, 2000 8:02:59 AM
The priest rises out of the water shifting into the form of a human as his head crests the water. He looks about and presses his hand to the large wound in his side as he takes a seat against the wall. He draws the long black hair from his eyes and tries to breathe.
K'isst Monday June 19th, 2000 12:18:59 PM
"We have been gone but a day, or so it seems to me. Yes, what has happened since we saw you last?" K'isst asks. She looks around at the crabmen, and looks to see if the ancient elf and some of his people may be here, too. She nods with deference to the crabman chieftain, and asks, "I see you have suffered much. We share in your suffering." She waits a beat, then asks, "When we were here before, some of my people were with you. Do you know where they are? Are they well?" she asks with concern.
Bill Troublefinder Monday June 19th, 2000 1:20:59 PM
Bill is happy once again to be breathing air. He is concerned for Ahkum, but again doesn't know what he can do, being out of healing potions, to help their new-come ally. He feels somewhat responsible for his wound, since Ahkum followed him close to the dragon corpse. But, after a glance of sympathy in the direction of the wounded companion, he calls to mind ... he calls ... to ... he ... for a moment a vision of his family gathered around a birthday feast takes his attention. Bill stands with eyes closed. In a fine tenor voice, he sings out with a halfling tune, his body waving from side to side, "This is your special day / not just an average day / day of fun and treats / day of gifts and sweets / for we all celebrate / sing now, and celebrate / your -- great -- day-ay-ay!" He opens his heavy, sleepy eyes, a dreamy smile on his face. Bill expects to see cousin-like faces before him. Auntish and uncle-ish. The decidedly un-cousin-like faces shock him, and he sits down hard, startled.
Bill Troublefinder Monday June 19th, 2000 1:39:59 PM
As his bum meets something hard, it does not happen to be the ground. Rather, it is lumpy, and uncomfortable. Bill squirms off the point of what will surely turn into a new bruise. Chagrined at what he now realizes was not a family birthday party. His handsome hobbit face turns bright pink. "S-S-sorry. Um, A dream." Trying to overcome his embarrassment, Bill loosens his belt, and reaches into the back of his pants. Digging down, he finally grasps the hammer which has slid to a point just above his knees. He pulls it upwards. But just as the handle crests the outside of his pants, he hesitates. He looks around at what are sure to be stares of consternation, or bewilderment, perhaps here and there incipient anger. He swallows, recognizing this is yet a fresh source of questionable behavior. Bill decides the best course at this point is to make bold. Little Mr. Troublefinder comes to his feet, and raises the hammer high above his head. His left hand, meanwhile, has gathered his pants top, to ensure he does not expose more than any might desire. "Take us to ATOMOS! THE TIME HAS COME!"
DM Kent d8=3 d8=8 Monday June 19th, 2000 5:20:59 PM
Seeing Ahkum slump to the floor, The crabChief waves a claw and another crabman all but materializes at Ahkum's side with some kind of ointment and bandages. (six points back) "What do you mean what has happened in the day and a half you have been gone?" "Much has occurred in the SIX WEEKS that you have been gone." That is why we feared you had not been successful. Along with the troubles the dragons have been causing all of us; The sea devils, and their allies have been making live in the sea more than a bit difficult. And it seems as though they are more organized and focussed than ever before." "As for your kin folk, water sister, they have been here and there, for they have been helping with things ashore as well as here." Glaring for a moment at Bill as he collapses and then plays with his pants, the chief smiles when he sees the hammer and with a cheerier look than you have seen on anyone since arriving says, "Yes let us go visit your friend." The chief signals and seven of his men follow you to Atomos' cavern.
Sedar the Air breather Monday June 19th, 2000 5:25:59 PM
"SIX WEEKS !?" with a very confused look. "are you sure we've been gone that long ?"
Bill Troublefinder Monday June 19th, 2000 8:43:59 PM
Bill thinks the chief of the crabmen must be confused about the passage of time. But, what about the dragon? Did Sekola have something to do with this? As the group ascends to the cavern of Atomos, Bill recalls when he tried to teleport to Atomos with the hammer, and that evil shark mind tried to probe his mind ... and seemed to pull him back away from Atomos himself. Was there a time robbing then? He resolves to puzzle this out, and make more inquiries when he has ... more time? / Then, remembering the voice that sent them on their way to Sekola's Temple, Bill says, "His chest! We have to reach his chest! And chip his chest with the hammer! Rond, K'isst, you're both strong. K'isst, can you get on Rond's shoulders, and take the hammer, and tap Atomos' chest? If you can't reach, maybe -- hey," he says to the crabmen's chief, grateful for K'isst's translation stone, "Can you make people stairs next to Atomos?" He then describes how to form a pyramid formation, with five people at the base on hands and knees, four above them resting on the five below, then three, and two, on up to one at the top. "Then one of us can climb up with the hammer, and together, we can free Atomos. Crabmen and humans and elves and half-elves and troglodytes and halflings all together!" Bill can hardly wait to watch the giant's 'withered soul unbind.'
Arrisa Tuesday June 20th, 2000 2:25:59 AM
Arrisa climbs out of the water. She is still very unsure of what they are doing in here. Checking to make sure she is still ok from wearing the ring, she follows everyone else
K'isst Tuesday June 20th, 2000 4:10:59 AM
The high troglodyte offers to try Bill's first suggestion. "Rond, can you squat down next to Atomos? I'll stand on your shoulders, and lean against his leg, then you stand up slowly. Want to try it?" On his shoulders, and swinging the hammer high, she might be able to reach twelve or so feet above the ground.
Bill Troublefinder Tuesday June 20th, 2000 4:12:59 AM
Bill goes over by Atomos, and touches the giant's lower shin with his hand. "Soon, friend of Judith," he says, looking upwards. Then he hands K'isst the hammer.
Rond Tuesday June 20th, 2000 4:53:59 AM
Rond will work with K'isst to make the appropriate arrangement.
Draax Tuesday June 20th, 2000 6:20:59 AM

Ahkum Tuesday June 20th, 2000 6:21:59 AM
The priest thanks the crabmen for healing him and then stands up. He walks over and stands next to Arrisa as the revelation of their time of absence. He looks at her and then sighs before following into the chamber with the massive statue of what they call Atomos.

Rond easily makes his strength check and K'isst makes her dex check and swings the little hammer at Atomos' chest. As it connects with the stone an extremely high pitched ring occurs and is soon echoed by the surrounding crystals after a few seconds there is a loud crack as a piece of stone cracks and falls off of Atomos' chest leaving a hammer shaped space in the center of his breast. All roll surprise as suddenly four of the chieftain's men suddenly turn into Sahuagin and attack. The first attacks Bill and connects for 8 points, but misses with his second attempt. The second attacks Ahkum and connects for 3 points. The third jabs with his trident at Draax and connects for a wicked 6 points. The fourth attacks Arien and misses. The chieftain is caught by surprise and stands staring and stunned as he watches the transformation and attacks the other three crabmen form a defensive arc in front of him and get ready to attack the seadevils.

K'isst feels she did the right thing with the hammer, and only hopes that Atomos will now awaken, without stepping on her and her friends in the midst of battle. Once down from Rond's broad shoulders, she moves to engage S1 in battle.
Draax d20=15 d8+4=9 Thursday June 22nd, 2000 4:52:59 AM
Draax pulls his longsword and attacks S3 hitting it hard in the side. (9 dmg)
Sedar Thursday June 22nd, 2000 4:54:59 AM
seeing everyone engaged and occupying the enemy, the mage awaits a chance.
Arien d20=16 d4=3 Thursday June 22nd, 2000 7:08:59 AM
Arien slashes again at S4 for 3 points while backing away.
Rond Thursday June 22nd, 2000 9:56:59 AM

Arrisa 2d20(12+9)+3=24 Thursday June 22nd, 2000 10:34:59 PM
OOC: Ignore this roll, I made a small mistake :-)
Arrisa d20=15 d20=8 d6=1 d6=5 Thursday June 22nd, 2000 10:37:59 PM
Arrisa nods to the chieftain and looks at the conch on the floor that was S4. She then turns and strikes at S2 (hit AC 0 and AC 7. Dam 1+4=5 (AC 0) and 5+4=9 (AC 7))
DM Kent d20=11 d20=13 d20=10 4d20(14+13+5+4)=36 d20=10 Saturday June 24th, 2000 12:16:59 AM
The three Sea devils, whether because they saw their leader turned into a conch, or perhaps because the statue in front of them is starting to ripple, all miss with their strikes. The crabmen also miss with the exception of the chieftain who once again points his wand at a foe and suddenly S1 is lying on the floor, now in the shape of a jelly fish.
Draax d20=19 d20=8 d8+4=7 d8+4=5 Saturday June 24th, 2000 2:40:59 AM
Draax attacks S3 again and hits (first hits low negatives for 7 dmg and second AC 4 for 5 dmg).
Sedar the Impressed Saturday June 24th, 2000 3:23:59 AM
"Conch and a jellyfish" totally impressed with the chieftain, he simply smiles and watches for the next show.
Arrisa d20=6 Saturday June 24th, 2000 7:41:59 AM
Arrisa strikes at S2 again. (Missed unless these have an AC of 11.....)
Arien Saturday June 24th, 2000 10:40:59 AM
Seeing the action of the statue out of the corner of his eye, Arien disengages completely from the combat and waits to see what will happen next.
Rond Saturday June 24th, 2000 5:29:59 PM
Either thru seeing it from the corner of his eye, or realizing it from some of the faces, Rond becomes distracted by the statue!
Bill Troublefinder d20=17 d20=5 d20=16 d20=12 d3=3 d3=3 d3=1 Saturday June 24th, 2000 11:32:59 PM
His opponent turned to a jellyfish, Bill laughs, despite his pain. "Good job, great chief!" he shouts to the leader of the crabmen, trusting K'isst's stone to handle the translation. He sees that opponents yet oppose, though, so adds his darts to the battle, tossing them at S2 (+1 to hit from Throwing NWP), for 3+3+1=7 hp damage (or 6hp, if AC is better than AC 3).
Ahkum Sunday June 25th, 2000 8:11:59 AM
The mage looks about and then up to the statue that suddenly begins to ripple with energy. He steps back a few steps and his mouth opens in awe of what is occurring.

As your last strikes go home, the crabmen also get a last few shots in and S2 and S3 collapse to the floors in lifeless bloody puddles. Above you all Atomos is one huge mass of swirling shifting iridescent color that almost suddenly becomes quiescent and solid. There is now quite a wind growing in the cavern and are those small flashes of lightning near the ceiling? Suddenly with a crack of thunder, which leaves your ears ringing, there in front of you, stands a 20 ft tall being whose skin tone seems to change from a shimmering green to an iridescent purple, with dark green hair and piercing emerald green eyes as big as large lime. A booming voice echoes through the cave as Atomos looks down at you and says, "Thank you, and well done Hamleteers."
Bill Troublefinder Sunday June 25th, 2000 7:14:59 PM
The little hobbit looks up at the iridescent giant. His mouth drops open for a moment as the transformation transpires. "Y-you're welcome, sir. Atomos, sir. J-judith, um, the lady from the Inn of the Crystal Sphere, told us about you. Ronderiadshal and me. She told. About you." Bill looks down at the brooch she gave him for good breathing and movement in the water. He takes it off and holds it up for Atomos to see. "She gave me this, for the water, you know. Do you recognize it?" The halfling then says cheerily, "You were in our dreams. And the shark one, too. I'm Bill!"
K'isst Monday June 26th, 2000 1:32:59 AM
K'isst's eyes are trained on the giant. "Sekola's Temple has crumbled. There are yet Sahuagin about." Her hand motions in the direction of the two downed sea devils.
Ahkum Monday June 26th, 2000 5:17:59 AM
The priest looks up in awe and his mouth drops in surprise of the transformation before him. A quick diligent prayer to all his patron deities. He kneels before Atomos for a few brief moments and stands watches his comrades for actions.
Draax Monday June 26th, 2000 6:46:59 AM
Draax looks up at Atomos and although Draax had an idea of what was going to happen, he still stands looking at Atomos in awe. Listening to the other speak he gets some of his composure back. "Um, ah yes, you are welcome, but we have to go we still have to get the head back to the town"
Arien Monday June 26th, 2000 7:44:59 AM
Arien simply stares at the giant in awe, all thoughts driven away by the sight of the huge creature before him.
Rond Monday June 26th, 2000 12:24:59 PM
Rond watches and waits.
Bill Troublefinder Tuesday June 27th, 2000 12:34:59 AM
Irrepressible Bill adds the question, "Do you feel very stiff, Lord Atomos?" A look of genuine concern is on his face.
Arrisa Tuesday June 27th, 2000 2:18:59 AM
Arrisa slaps her quarterstaff into both hands and looks about carefully for more enemies....
DM Kent (rise and shine) Tuesday June 27th, 2000 3:21:59 AM
"Hush! I have a lot to tell you and little time to do it in. Yes little Troubleshooter, I know and remember Judith well and hold her in high regard. If you see her again tell her that I still recall the Green Moss Isle. Now then, I fear you still have great trials ahead of you. Before you go make your way under this dais. You may do what you like with what you find there. Then quickly make your way back to the Hamlet. Time is drawing very short for what must be done. Remember Good will triumph in the end as long as the choices you make are the correct ones." Almost as an after thought after K'isst mentions Sekola, Atomos looks up a look of pure hatred glazes over his eyes and almost as if he forgot you were there he softly speaks to himself. "Yes old enemy I come to visit soon. But first I will finish what these hardies have started." And with a clap of thunder that rings in your ears he vanishes.
Sedar the Seeker Tuesday June 27th, 2000 4:08:59 AM
After regaining his composure from Atomos' appearance. He begins to seek an entrance under the dias.
Bill Troublefinder Tuesday June 27th, 2000 4:36:59 AM
Bill is amazed to find that the mighty Atomos knows his family name. He fixes in his mind to mention the 'Green Moss Isle' to 'Judith' when next he sees her. He lets out an involuntary little moan when great trials are mentioned, not even aware he is making a sound. But Atomos' confidence that Good will triumph reinvigorates and encourages him. But when the purple-green huge man disappears, he is disconcerted. "But, I wanted to ask him about the ring!" he notes aloud. Intrigued as to what may lie beneath the dais, he nevertheless realizes there is one priority before checking that out. Bill walks up to the Chief of the crabmen, and holds out his hand ... for a moment, then, thinking he doesn't want his hand pinched, switches to a courtly bow. "Well done!" As he rises he says, "I was so glad to see that fellow who was poking me turned to a jellyfish. Thank you!" He opens a pouch, and withdraws one of the few red stones he has left. "This is a memento from the Island of the Old Temple. It comes from the enchanted pathway. It is a small thing, but for you saving, yes, perhaps saving my life, I want you to have this. Can I do anything for you?" he asks the Chief.
Draax Tuesday June 27th, 2000 6:02:59 AM
Wondering what could be under the dias, Draax joins the others as they search for the entrance.
Rond Tuesday June 27th, 2000 4:44:59 PM
Rond moves quickly to under the dias, to see what is there.
Bill Troublefinder Tuesday June 27th, 2000 6:53:59 PM
[Dais, not dias. Get that noun right! :)]
K'isst Tuesday June 27th, 2000 9:48:59 PM
K'isst, too, marvels at the rejuvenation of Atomos. Upon his sudden departure, she walks over, picks up the conch, and checks to see if it is open or closed, or an empty shell. She asks the chief, "How long will it stay changed? Will it turn back into a sahuagin?"
Arrisa Tuesday June 27th, 2000 11:35:59 PM
Arrisa wanders over to the Dais and begins to check around it. Her quarterstaff is still in hand and she watches carefully for more enemies
DM Kent ( dais dias dais dias dais) Wednesday June 28th, 2000 6:54:59 AM
The chief looks at K'isst for a moment and answers, "Well as far as they will be concerned it will be permanent for they will die thus. Under normal circumstances they would remain thus for several weeks." Those perusing the dais quickly find a latch that is opposite some hidden hinges.
Bill Troublefinder Wednesday June 28th, 2000 8:08:59 PM
As the chief didn't seem to want to ask for anything at the moment, Bill politely nods his thanks again, then joins his friends to find out what might be under the platform that Atomos once stood upon.
K'isst (by Jerry--I'm back) Wednesday June 28th, 2000 8:24:59 PM
K'isst nods at the chieftain and then formally bows to him. She turns then and proceeds to the dias to help her friends. "Are you ok now Ahkum?"
Draax Thursday June 29th, 2000 7:31:59 AM
Draax will pull/turn the latch, whatever it takes to open it.
