Wounds Hurt (DM Jerry) d100=88 Saturday October 28th, 2000 9:37:16 AM
Lok (rolled 88%) finds no trace of the orcs. Alyndar does a fantastic job (-1) and manages to give everyone 3hps rather than just 2. Sir Thomas begins walking down the road a bit in somewhat of a stupor waiting on everyone else to break camp. Everyone feels the very real pain and soreness that is the aftermath of a tough battle. Funny, how it always seems so glorious at the time... and afterwards all you feel is pain.
Lok Mufflefoot d100=16 d100=74 Saturday October 28th, 2000 12:52:38 PM
The halfling seems as though he is a complete failure. Having failed to protect his friends adequately, and even having heard the sound, it was not enough to save them almost all death. Searching the corpses carefully the halfling looks for weapons, rings, coins, and anything else that might be useful. After finding and gathering the valuables he says in a voice filled with shame "I will scout the front for us along the road as we go...if anybody deserves to fight and die alone it would be me" With that Lok moves out of sight of the others to the front of the group at least 70 feet ahead of the rest. With head hung low and large ears drooping, the halfling prepares to scout to the best of his abilities walking quite silently (ms pass) yet not quite staying fully in the shadows (74 on the side of the road).
Sly Foxx and Luke Saturday October 28th, 2000 3:25:19 PM
Sly breaks camp and makes sure that the fire is out. Going over to Alyndar, asks him for a cookie or two, and promises not to bother him ti'll lunch. Then making his way to Sir Thomas and asking " Sir Thomas can I walk beside you on our way too town? I don't feel as though I'm a good fighter. I swing too soon, miss judge my enemy and get my spells all mixed up. Did you see Luke?" On the other side of Sly was Trace, and said to him," I'm a sorry mess, Almost got you people killed. You just watch that big Orc will be back!! ". With this said Sly goes silent and depress.
Alyndar Saturday October 28th, 2000 5:21:38 PM
Climbs up on his cart after everything is packs, stands in his seat and listens to the people whine and bitch about what crappy jobs they did and shouts: "STOP, and LISTEN TO ME."
When he has everyone's attention he motions everyone to him. When everyone arrives he says: "Quit with this crying and whining, everyone fought with the best of their abilities and even though bad things happened WE and I say WE fought as a group. Not a single person died, yes, someone came close but because of the WE he lived. Lok, you are truly a good scout as I am a good cook, but i do burn meals from time to time. Sly misses a swing from time to time. Uteva misses her attacks from time to time. So, quit your self bashing over this incident. EVERYONE, learn from the mistakes you feel you made, correct them and continue. Today something very important happened to us, we learned we could trust each other in combat as much as we can out of combat. That there are people here willing to sacrifice themselves for the rest. <hands Sly some cookies> and says: you are only a bother when you aren't feeding your face. Seeing you eating my food makes me know I am doing my job correctly. Now, if one more person bashes themselves or complains about how crappy they are in combat, 2 things are gonna happen, 1 <lifts up the "special ladle"> you get to feel my wrath on your hiney. Don't think you are too big to get a spanking. 2 you will do dishes for a month, and I will make sure I burn things extra good. With that, Aly sits down in the seat and bids everyone to get going and to do it quickly and with life. Aly sees everyone start to walk off and shouts: "And keep your heads up and be proud for we are the Wardens of the Wold. Upon our shoulders lie the health and wellbeing of the people of this land."
Qwint Edsa Saturday October 28th, 2000 10:45:20 PM
Qwint take the herbs graciously offered to him by Aly then listens to his lecture. After that, he goes back to his resting place and finds his cat, miracuosly unaharmed from the battle. She meows and rubs up against him. Smiling he then addresses the group "Let's get a move on, we need to reach the city as soon as possible and warn them of the Orcs."
Ilsidur d8=1 d8=8 Sunday October 29th, 2000 12:22:25 PM
[OOC: Jerry, I will take the same spells again today.] Ilsidur hurries to catch up with Lok. "Hold up, Lok. You can't blame yourself for what happened last night. Everyone fought well and hard. Next time, use your infravision to see what is going on, don't travel so far from the party, and make sure everyone is awake. However, if you hadn't noticed the noise, we would likely be in much worse shape then we are. I can surely speak for everyone when I say we are glad to have you along with us. Now, lift your spirits and go find another ambush!" Ilsidur moves back into the party and walks beside Sir Thomas. "Last night, when I suggested that you don't use your healing, I thought we might have been able to use it to bring the young orc back so that we could question him [OOC: However, Jerry says monsters and NPC's die at zero, only PC's can go to -5 HP and still be brought back.] It's too bad that didn't work. I am really proud and a little envious of the way you stood up to that big bear of an orc. When we next meet him, and we will, I know you will have a score to settle with him. I would be proud to watch your back in that battle." Then he claps Sir Thomas on the shoulder and moves back to the front of the party, crossbow at the ready. [OOC: The 'clap' was to give a cure light wounds to Sir Thomas. The first d8 roll was a 1, and I remember reading somewhere in Jerry's rules that you re-roll 1's for CLW. The next roll was an 8. Jerry, could you let us know whether Sir Thomas gets 1 or 8 HP back?]
Uteva Sunday October 29th, 2000 2:38:57 PM
"So, Sly, those were the same thugs that jumped you before?" Teva shivers and looks impressed. "Then we're doubly lucky that you survived. The great hairy beast that crushed Sir Thomas is most fearsome. And obviously, they are among those who know about the Elven Roads." She frowns thoughtfully, and acknowledges Alyndar's lecture with an absent nod.
Deciding to take it easy for the day, the little bard graciously accepts Sir Thomas' offer and clibs into the cart. Seldom one to sit idle, she unwraps her harp and entertains her companions as they travel. "Trace, Sir Thomas, would you like to teach me some of your northern songs? I'd like to help ease your longing for home."
Sir Thomas Sunday October 29th, 2000 9:19:13 PM
Just as disgusted at the morale of the group as Alyndar appears to be wanted to make the same points, but since the older, wiser elf spoke first there is no reason to beat the dead horse. "You are correct Alyndar and you make many good points. Let us get on our way." He looks at Lok, "Lok, none of us should fight alone. If you get ANY indication of trouble whether it turns out to be so or not, you get back to us or call for us to get to you. I am not kidding even the slightest amount. Do you understand me?!?"
Thomas begins walking down the road. "I am sorry Uteva, but I have no musical talents. I only know when to enjoy the talents of other people. But thank you for your thoughtfulness." Thomas nods to Sly to tell him that he is more than welcome to walk next to him. "Sly, we will all make mistakes from time to time. We are all imperfect, but the best way to make our failures bearable is to make them into successes. Study what you think you did poorly and why you think it was a poor choice. Then make yourself determined not to make that poor choice again. However, if you feel that your inadequacies came from inability, then more practice is your best route for improvement. Also, be patient, you are progressing nicely in your skill level. I have always been and will always be proud to fight next to you and the rest of this group no matter what the outcome."
When Ilsidur makes his comments to Thomas the young paladin replies, "Friend, you are always thinking. It seems to me to have been a wonderful idea. We could surprise THEM had that worked. Regardless, we will get the better of this group of monsters. I believe it to be the will of Alemi. The fact that this will be a difficult fight ensures it to be a more glorious fight, just as Domi would like." Thomas is very optimistic, but his voice carries with it the fatigue that he feels from the beating he took. "Thank you all again for saving me. I can only hope to never have the opportunity to repay you, but if the opportunity arises, rest asured that I will do everything in my power to return the favor." When Ilsidur slaps him on the shoulder, the impact causes his shoulder to enflame with pain, but then he gets a sense of relaxing, tingling pain relief. Thomas recognizes the familiar touch of magic that he also possesses "Thank you friend. I will save my own healing touch for tonight unless we need it sooner." Thomas continues to walk and talk to his companions in his usual optomistic vocabulary, carried by his overly fatigued voice.
Trace and Radiant Sunday October 29th, 2000 11:00:28 PM
Trace cracks a smile at Aly's suggestion of punishment by the giant spoon. "Come on, we wernt bad, only taken advantage of and we still repelled the attackers. I say that is success." Trace trys to work out the stiffness where he was hit by the orc. The herbal tea has Trace allmost back to perfect. "Well let us get to the nearest town so that we can upgrade our equipment. When we see that Bear again we will see who he'd rather fight against me or Sir Thomas." Trace cracks another smile at his last comment while walking along with the group, he throws up a piece of dried meat for Radiant wich swoops down to catch it. Looking up to Radiant, "Maybe next time you will be able to latch on to some one."
Caravan Camp Overlook (DM Jerry) Monday October 30th, 2000 6:39:36 PM
Turns out that the potion that Sir Thomas took was a full healing one. Perhaps it was a weakly made one as he only feels completly healed with the morning sun. (Save your spell or use it on someone else.) The day is spent in travel. The road turns SE towards Threshold and the Darkened Lands beyond. You spend the night on the top of a hill that overlooks the valley below that leads to Threshhold. There, a similar camp to the one you camped at the night before is obvious. However, this night it is not unoccupied. Not one but two trading caravans are camping there this night. One is a train of some 16 odd wagons drawn by six legged horses. The other is more of a gypsy type train of huge coaches. Teams of black horses pull 3 multi-colored coaches hitched to each other. Both groups wave you over to a huge bonfire where some 60 people are gathered. Huge pots of beans, stew, coffee, roast pig, and cherry pies picked from the cherry trees nearby fill the air with wonderful scents. The leader of the coach train is the first to rush forward and welcome you. "Please, come! Camp with us and tell us of things north. Ohh.... look at this cart of yours! What a setup!" He looks at Alyndar recognizing the look of pride in his eyes at the gypsy's words. "You I have to talk with. I also am a cook.....well I try. And I'd love to show you some spices from the south I just obtained in Mud City!" He looks appraisingly at the party judging your strengths and weaknesses. His smile grows. "Come!"
Trace and Radiant Monday October 30th, 2000 8:38:49 PM
As they make there way into camp Trace only smiles and keeps quite waiting for the rest of the group to talk with the gypsy leader. Trace moves to the rear of the wagon so that he is able to keep an eye on three sides while they stop for the night. Trace pulls out a dagger and begins to widdel on a random piece of wood. Trace quietly talks to Uteva who is in the back of the wagon, "Where I am from gypsys are not to be trusted, most are nomad theives but I dont want to assume that these are theives also but I am not ready to assume they are not." Gives a little wink and continues to widdel.
Sir Thomas Monday October 30th, 2000 8:54:48 PM
Sir Thomas begins to feel much better as the morning progresses on and he finds that he gets some pain-free range of motion back in his left shoulder. "That's nice." he exclaims as he moves it around. "I think that I am ready for round two with 'the bear', but also I think it will be a better fight if we are both ready when the bell sounds." WHen they come upon the caravan, Sir Thomas accepts the welcome of the man. "Good evening sir, I am SIr THomas and we would be honored with your presence if you would allow us to stay with you tonight. We will only tell you of the happenings of the north that we are informed about because that is the best that we can honestly do. THese are my friends," Thoms points out each one as their name is called, "Our lovely songbird Uteva, Master Trace, Young Sly, Fatherly Alyndar, the Nimble and fearless Lok, Ilsidur the unburdened faithful of Marmathon Dur, and our quiet friend Quint." THomas extends his hand for a firm shake and slight bow of respect. He then lets the man lead them to the campfire where they will trade stories of occurances in the WOld.
Qwint Edsa Monday October 30th, 2000 9:19:49 PM
Qwint takes a quick look at the approaching man and immediately doesn't trust him. He doesn't let it show, but makes sure to keep his sword close to his hand. He doesn't say anything, and waits to see if the rest of the group is going to follow.
Ilsidur d8=6 d8=6 Monday October 30th, 2000 9:40:04 PM
As the party moves towards the fire, Ilsidur brushes up against both Sly and Uteva, giving them each a cure light wounds spell [OOC: Sly and Uteva each get 6 HP back]. He waits until Sir Thomas is finished the introductions, then moves up beside the big fighter. "Sir Tom," he whispers, "might a detect evil be in order?" Then he moves into the fire circle and squats down, examining the faces at the fire, and looking for obvious weapons.
Sly Foxx and Luke Monday October 30th, 2000 10:39:45 PM
After Alyndar speech, and Sly knew it was true, no one had died and they all fought as a unit, and that gray Elf is right. Then again he does have that SPOON. Sly goes up to Alyndar and picks up the two extra cookies and answers Uteva," The entrance to the road can only be found by Elves. Those Orcs were looking, But They never found it." Now feeling much better walks between Trace and Sir Thomas, then sly hears a bark, turns and sees Luke running to meet him,"Hi! Boy! I though you got lost." Sly shares the cookies with Luke. They walk SE towards Threshold and comes upon the camp, one of six legged horses and the other of gypsies. The smells coming from those pots are most appetizing, when he notices Trace drop back. When Sir Thomas accepts the Gypsy's welcome and introduces the party, Sly makes a slight bow when his name is called, suddenly Sly is not as hungry as he once though. Sly will follow the party and pay attention on how Luke act.
Alyndar Tuesday October 31st, 2000 1:20:20 AM
Aly's eyes do sparkle at the sudden compliment from the Gypsie leader. He takes the compliment with pride, shoulders straighter, chest a little more puffier and when the Leader says his speel about showing spices newly aquired, Aly is more than eager to trade items and recipes. Aly jumps down from the wagon, does a slight bow to the Leader and leads him around to the rear of the wagon, showing him and explaining to him what each item is and why he has it in that particular spot and how each item is used. He also grabs the book of Herbology and carries it with him wherever he goes. Aly will share the knowledge inside it with the Gypsie Leader if he so desires. Aly looks forward to a night of not having to cook and clean up and to talk about "stuff".
Sir Thomas Tuesday October 31st, 2000 9:57:52 AM
Sir Thomas would like to survey his friends to see who needs extra healing. He will lay on hands to whom ever needs it the most. (8hp to that person, compliments of Alemi)
Uteva Tuesday October 31st, 2000 2:43:58 PM
While listening to Trace, Teva digs out her cup and bowl, managing to casually arrange her pack to conceal the little treasure chest. She holds out a hand for the ranger to help out of the cart and walks with him a few steps to be out of the way (and earshot) of Alyndar and the gypsy leader.
Quietly, she says, "A good thought, Trace. If you'll keep watch over our belongings for a time, someone will relieve you. Qwint and Sly have been walking injured all day -- they may want to 'lie down' for a bit." She grins at him and winks. "Try not to let Alyndar give away all our secrets."
The slim brunette limps toward the fire, both her gait and the lines of pain at her brow smoothing out as Ilsidur passes her. Long familiar with trade caravans, she mingles with the drovers and traders. She warns them about the orc attack and inquires about their goods and the trip thus far.
When she sees that the warrior has finished eating, she suggests, "Qwint, you look tired. Why don't you take a rest in the cart? Ask Trace if he'll check your bandages."
Lok Mufflefoot Tuesday October 31st, 2000 5:50:33 PM
Lok gives everything but four of the daggers (which he hides in very odd places on his person that you would not even think of to look) and two gold to Sir Thomas. The potion he stares at inquisitavely as he watches it slowly rotate around. Guiltily he gives the potion reluctantly as well. "It's neat to look at" the halfling explains simply. Shamed by the words of Alyndar and Sir Thomas the halfling's spirits slowly raise. Upon coming to the camp, the halfling seems joyful at the site of gypsies. As an explanation the halfling says quickly "I grew up in the company of similar folk" as he runs off to the gypsy camp. As he comes there he begins juggling three daggers and does a half tumble in greeting. Bouncing about from person to person the halfling attempts to glean whatever information is possible. Having a great time he takes a short break to move Ilsidur's side for a moment. Breaking from his tumbling and panting the halfling gathers the dwarf and Sir Thomas alike. Quietly he says "You know, that bear is not from this area. I've lived around here from time to time, and that bear thing is something unheard of."
Shopping, Talking, Shopping, and Loving (DM Jerry) Tuesday October 31st, 2000 7:53:27 PM
Lok makes friends with two halfling entertainers travelling with the gypsy caravan named Pear and Reap... They offer to show Lok some new juggling tricks. [make a juggling check at -2 to be able to learn how to do 4 objects at a time.] Alyndar spends the evening with the Gypsy prince, Embarri. They exchange recipies and Alyndar gets a great recipe. A master trader with Hook City credentials approaches Trace and Sly asking them to join him for supper. He offers them a large tent to set up for their party.
About this time, a second group of travelers, a group of dwarves arrives at the camp. They look as if they know the reputations of the caravan and soon are beating drums and singing songs of conquest at the fire. They intruduce themselves to Uteva and ask her to join them. They are Boredoc, Papto, Rusk, Crado, and Pepdow. Boredoc is very interested in things north. He asks about the safety of the road, the rains, and whether everyone still avoids Heranmar or not.
Embarri invites the party as well as the gypsies to peruse their wares. The Gypsies readily accept. He turns to Sir Thomas. "Would you fine adventurers give us a chance to show you our wares this lovely evening?"
The Gypsy outriders seem to be arranging a group guard schedule for the night and includes everyone. He asks if 2 of the party will be willing to take a watch. They are setting up 2 hour watches with 8 sentries during each watch. He wants one for watch 2 and one for watch 3.
A beautiful young gypsy girl bats her long black lashes at Sly during the supper meal. She brings Sly some coffee and licorice after supper and smiles at him honestly backing away from him. As she backs, she trips over a limb and falls on her seat rather hard. Her face turns extremely red. All the younger males laugh hard at her saying, "Hey Regina! You falling for another adventurer, Regina!"
"HaHa! Regina! Loves 'em but canst keeps em'!"
"Falls all over them, she does."
Regina looks at them with embarassed anger on her dark but fail face. "Shut up Laerty!"
Then as if she couldn't take anymore, she covers her face and runs towards her wagon, weeping profusely.
Sir Thomas Tuesday October 31st, 2000 9:08:23 PM
Sir Thomas having to make a choice at some point in time decides to heal Sly with his lay on hands (8hp) since he has been injured the longest. "Sorry to hold out on you friend, but I was going along with the advice of Ilsidur, but his plan didn't pan out. I hope this makes you feel better though." Thomas takes in the sights of the evening and takes time to look at the goods offered by the merchants. When he is finished looking at their goods, interested in purchase or not he inquires this, "Have any of you heard of Alemi or Domi?" If the respond negatively he proceeds to tell them of the faith of his gods. If they respond positively he has a whole other line of questioning for them. Later in the evening when the issue of needing guards arises, Thomas offers to take both shifts for his group. "You guys rest, I am still feeling overly refreshed from that potion and its delayed effects. I am fine and I want you guys to rest." In a more private setting Thomas offers this to his friends. "I'm not sure whether I trust all of these folks or not, but it is definately safer for us to be in a large group like this. I will take both watches if you guys rotate a watch of our small group. I'll check in from time to time, but a more local watch of our belongings and sleeping fellows would certainly comfort me. You guys do what you think is best, but I'm on for both watches." WIth that, Thomas goes off to take his post.
Qwint Edsa Tuesday October 31st, 2000 9:28:04 PM
Smiling at Teva, he thanks her "Yes, I think that would be a nice idea, that Orc hit me rather hard before I planted an arrow in it's head." He then walks over to Trace and says "How are my bandages doing? Do they need replacing?" After that he goes over to Sir Thomas and says "I agree with you, there's just certain things I don't like about this place, I don't trust all the people here. If you want I'll take the first 'local' watch."
Trace and Radiant Tuesday October 31st, 2000 11:09:54 PM
Trace speaks with the master trader from Hook city, "Thank you kindly for your offer sir, if I have a chance I will join you latter. I have a bit of routine that I follow every night. I pray to my god Mittri and spend some one on one time with my friend here. (Trace raises his arm and Radiant swoops down quickly from the sky to perch on his arm.) After that if everyone is still out and about I will take you up on your most generous offer. After the trader leaves Trace talks to Quint, "Hey latter on after dinner will you releave me on our watch so that no one takes anything from our wagon." Trace begins to talk to Radiant and feed him while looking over the crowd and watching Uteva and her new friends. After widdeling a bit Trace gives Radiant an oilskin with water and ask him to drop it over to Sir Thomas, "Here Radiant take this to Sir Thomas and come back for a treat."
Sly Foxx and Luke Wednesday November 1st, 2000 2:55:39 AM
Sly follows Sir Thomas for a while and samples the groups food (and sharing it with Luke). Talks to the younger people of the group and exchange hunting and fishing stories, all the while notices the lovely young Gypsy girl. When after the supper meal and the girl bring him the coffee and licorice, and she backs and trips over the limb, thus falling on her romp. Sly sees that she's embarrassed and run away in tears toward a wagon. Sly will get up and excused himself. Sly will walk over to the girl behind the wagon and will console her, "Hello ... may I call you Regina, please don't cry... Don't mind those guys ... they are brats and love to tease girls ... err I would like to thank you for the Coffee and the sweet black stuff... Hmmm please don't cry..." at this point Sly will rub Regina's back and arms. But Sly feels very uneasy as if something is not right...
Alyndar Wednesday November 1st, 2000 8:38:40 AM
After many hours of talking and sharing ideas and recipes Aly hears the arrival of the dwarves. He shares his interest with Gypsie Leader and the Dwarves and when the merchant offers to show his wares Aly is the first in line to see what he has, asking if he has any spices and cooking utensils and supplies. Aly also offers the Gypsie Leader to buy some spices off of him as well and a few 3 days of provisions to help tide the group over til they reach the next town. Aly sees the happenings with Sly and the young gypsie girl and nods his approval when Sly goes to console the girl, thinking to himself <he's finally growing up>.
Ilsidur Wednesday November 1st, 2000 12:35:40 PM
Along with the rest of the group, Ilsidur approaches to examine the wares that the gypsy is selling, not really expecting to find anything that will interest him. He is a little surprised that the dwarves ask a human to join them over a fellow dwarf, but he realizes that others of his kind sometimes have some odd attitudes. When they gather back at Alyndar's wagon, he says, "I too was able to escape the combat with the orcs unharmed. I will take the last watch for our small group; that way I can say my morning prayers and ready myself for the day. I suggest we get on our way at dawn.
Uteva Wednesday November 1st, 2000 1:32:40 PM
Teva takes Trace some dinner. "Did you get things worked out with Qwint? Tell him I'll take the watch after his." She gladly joins the dwarves and asks them to show her some drumming techniques. To Boredoc, she replies, "We cut cross-country after coming down out of the mountains. We haven't been on the Trade Road long, so I can't be very helpful. We did run into trouble with some orcs a day's walk north of here." She frowns and rubs at the healing wound in her shoulder. "The cowardly vermin attacked in deep night, and routed once they realized we weren't easy pickings." "As for Heranmar," she grins, "I've had reason to avoid it, myself. I think some of my companions have been there in recent seasons." She points out Sir Thomas, Trace, and Sly for Boredoc. The young woman shares folk tales and songs with the group, including a recently learned Centaur tune. She waits for an opportune time when representatives from all three groups are within earshot to tell the story of the hobgoblin raid on her caravan. She puts lots of descriptive details and dramatic tension into the story, and is intentionally vague about how long ago it took place. Then she asks her listners if they have heard of trouble with hobgoblins recently. Afterward, she peruses the displayed wares.
Lok Mufflefoot d20=1 Wednesday November 1st, 2000 2:02:40 PM
A few moments after being shown the trick (pass check with a 1) Lok begins juggling four as though he has been doing it all his life. Happily giggling with Pear and Reap, the halfling takes only a quick break from his new friends to say to the group "I'll take the watch, rest of you are bruised up worse than a halfling being shot out of a catapault." Happily returning to his newfound friends, the halfling spends the rest of the night with his kind having not seen any for quite some time.
Trading and Shopping and Honor and Curses (DM Jerry) Wednesday November 1st, 2000 2:32:40 PM
Embarri says to Sir Thomas, "Of course I've heard of Alemi and Domi! What Wold have you been living in my new friend? I carry holy symbols for all the major Gods of Wold and many of the powers as well. I have a small santuary to Alemi in my wagon. Would you like to see it? The Master Trader introduces himself as Favor and nods. "I can see the mistrust in your eyes. You have nothing to fear here. My honor is at stake. Join me for coffee later if you can." Alyndar finds out that cooking utensils and foodstuffs are not all the caravan is carrying. They do have quite the assortment of that sort of stuff if Alyndar is interested. However, they also have armor of most types and common weapons as well. Even some magical offerings. Several swords, daggers, and morning stars. Isildur is shown a wagon where rugs and various containers like chests and urns are kept. Within a desk, they show him an assortment of minor magical rings etc. He is told that they also have an assortment of scrolls as well if the party's mages are interested in them. Uteva joins the dwarves and they accompany her on some songs and teach her some of theirs. [make an appropriate check to learn the songs at +2] They also teach her some drum communications that are used in the Plains to the south. [musical check at -1 to remember the nuances of this form of communication for the future.] As Uteva takes the tour of the wagons and coaches of both caravans, she comes across a magical harp in the Gypsy's 4th coach. It self strums a unresolved G# dimished chord for effect as Uteva stares at it. The halflings show Lok a magical silver ball that when the word Terrific is spoken shoots out and strikes the nearest person to the juggler automatically hitting the victim. The victim then takes 1d4+1hpd and must save or be stunned for one round. They, of course, are willing to sell it to Lok along with a set of 4 other "normal" silver balls that complete the set. Embarri approaches Quint and invites him to look at the wares of the wagons as well. After looking him over he says, "I have a very nice sword that is normal in every way....until it is drawn in the presence of an Orc. Then...it becomes quite ferocious. Want to see it?" Regina stops sobbing immediatly when Sly approaches her not wanting to be seen like that. She turns her wet black eyes searching his. "You should leave me. I was foolish. I am cursed. I can't...." Then she hides her face in her hands and hair. "I'm sorry. I...You......can't happen." She turns and runs inside her cabin. Sly hears a motherly voice say, "What's wrong Regina? Have those boys been making fun of you again?" Then the door closes on the wagon and Sly hears no more.
Sly Foxx and Luke Wednesday November 1st, 2000 3:02:40 PM
Sly watches as Regina makes her excuses and then run inside her cabin. Sly just stands there gazing at the closed door, thinks to himself *Boy! Those moist Black Eyes are going to be very hard to forget...* After a while Sly goes back to the other young males and ask each other if they will take turns being on guard tonight, most of them were bragging and all said their goodnights. Next Sly will go to see what Alyndar is trading and ask him if there is anything good for himself (Sly). Then will go to do the same with others in the party. After his (Sly) round, will go back to their wagon where Trace is standing and tells him,"I'll take my turn at any time tonight, I don't think I'll be sleeping much.'
Qwint Edsa Wednesday November 1st, 2000 3:32:40 PM
Qwint smiles at Embarri and says "Well, I do like my own sword, but what exactly does this new sword do? Perhaps we could organise a trade deal...also...do you have any cat food?"
Sir Thomas Wednesday November 1st, 2000 4:02:40 PM
Thomas perks up as if he were in the presence of his two gods themselves. "REALLY!!??!! I would love to see it! Do you accept donations in their name? What is your name sir? I don't have much, but I would like to tithe. I also left my holy symbol back with a group of friends. I hope it will influence them. Give me a second and I will be right back. I would like to purchase holy symbols of each and I would like to tithe and also pray." As giddy as a school child, Thomas runs to get the money he wants to tithe ad some extra to buy the symbols. Upon returning he explains his situation. "I am from far to the north and when I arrived here in the south I was told that they were northern gods and that I shouldn't waste my time looking for them here. I'm so glad that they never forget their faithful." Thomas gives the man the specified amount of money, prays, and tithes. As he is leaving he bids his new frined farewell. "I am glad that I asked you. Now that there are two of us spreading the word, it will spread twice as fast. I am truely honored with your presence. Farewell friend."
Alyndar Wednesday November 1st, 2000 4:32:40 PM
Upon hearing about "other" things I might be interested in, Aly raises an eyebrow and asks: What, praytell, might you have that the likes of me might be interested in? He brokers a deal for foodstuffs and resupplies with the merchants before asking this question. Would 65gold be enough for all the supplies and equipment replacements?
Trace and Radiant Wednesday November 1st, 2000 5:02:40 PM
Trace calls for Qwint to come take a turn watching the wagon, "Hey Qwint watch the wagon, I want to do some shopping before everyone goes to sleep." When releaved Trace makes his way over to where they are selling armor and swords. "Sir, I am looking for some splint mail and a plate mail shield. I would also be interested in advanced swords if you have any." While the trader starts looking for what Trace has asked he makes his way over to the master trader Favor for his coffee. "Hello sir, I thank yee for the invite this evening." Trace sits while strokeing Radiants feathers.
Embarri (DM Jerry) Sunday November 5th, 2000 9:10:40 AM
Embarri leaves the wagon with Sir Thomas in tow. These "women" if you can call them that, are followers of the dark power "The One." They are said to be responsible for the disappearance of several men and female children in and around Threshold. The men they are said to have loved and killed. The young girls are said to have joined their ranks in another place." He looks at Sir Thomas and then at the masked women. "But you are right, Sir Thomas. There is no proof and we should take them in for the night." He approaches the area of conflict and says, "Fellow travellers, you are welcome! You may camp over there (he points) within the protection of my camp."
Dieb (DM Jerry) Sunday November 5th, 2000 9:15:40 AM
"I am Dieb, servant of The One. I regret that you feel this way about us. We wish only for a place to spend the night, not to cause any trouble. I do know know what makes you hate us so, but I do know that most people hate what they do not understand." After being accepted in the camp, Dieb says, "Thank you most gracious host? As thanks, my fellow servants volunteer to cleanup after the evening's festivities. We have not travelled very far this day and they need to work off some extra energy before they bed. Again, our thanks." Her eyes then flash once at Alyndar and the dwarves seeming to say, 'don't mess with us' and they pass by into the camp.
Trace and Radiant Sunday November 5th, 2000 10:46:40 AM
Seeing the situation calm down Trace returns his sword and makes his way back to the tent with the master trader Favor to continue his coffee for the night. Continueing conversation, "Well how has your luck been with this roaming hoard of orc led by the giant bear orc been? We have allready had two run-in's with them and luckly we havnt lost anyone yet. Have they been around long and do you know where they come from? Sorry for the questions but since the last attack we kinda want to meet with them again." Trace continues sipping his coffee talking and nodding with Favor while petting Radiant. Occasionaly looking to the wagon and over to Uteva and smileing.
Ilsidur Wayfinder Monday November 6th, 2000 10:18:40 AM
Ilsidur is relieved that the mask woman can now campwith us,and no trouble encured. "Now tonight I can say my prays in peace." Ilsidur will returned to the wagon and prepare for the night.
Sly Foxx and Luke Monday November 6th, 2000 10:31:40 AM
Sly seeing that the Mask Females will have a place to camp, for the night at least. Turn to look at Alyndar and wonders what set that gray Elf off, has to be something real big to him. "Hmmm--I think that I'll keep a close eye on him and maybe get a cookie or two." Sly will follow the cook every where he goes and sleep near him this nite.
Uteva Monday November 6th, 2000 1:59:40 PM
Teva stands firm through Alyndar's announcement, and nods agreement with Embarri's welcome. Relieved, she turns to retrieve her bedroll just in time to catch Trace's smile. She retuns it with a wink and a wave goodnight. "Gentlemen," she says quietly to those party members gathered near the cart, "the mood of the camp suggests that we be extra-vigilant on watch tonight. Some few may take it upon themselves to remove a perceived threat to our collective safety." She glances quickly toward the dwarves, then looks pointedly at Alyndar. "I hope I am wrong." "Still, we will want to be alert tonight. We should get some sleep. Is the watch schedule worked out? I will follow Qwint -- whom shall I wake for the next turn?" The young woman says a quiet good night and beds down alongside the cart.
Lok Mufflefoot Monday November 6th, 2000 2:29:40 PM
Happy that things seem to have turned around, the halfling without heed to the quiet division between the groups hops over to the women and begins to question one about what was under the mask. Looking at her from all angles, he seems interested beyond belief. Curious as ever he looks for shiny objects that might "fall" out of her pockets that she might not want.
Qwint Edsa Monday November 6th, 2000 2:59:40 PM
Qwint makes his way over to the group, after conversing with Embarri. He seems happy with what is for offer, but the prices are rather expensive, and he isn't quite sure what his share of the money is, so he goes to Sir Thomas, who he knows wouldn't lie to him, and whispers "How much gold does each person in the group get from our encounter?"
Favor (DM Jerry) Monday November 6th, 2000 3:29:40 PM
Favor looks strangely at Trace and says, "What bear? I know of no bear that leads orcs into battle?" He smiles. "One might think you'd had too much wine this evening. But I know better. So share this story with me." He invites Trace to sit on a log with him, while the camp prepares for bed. Soon, the camp is quiet and all preparations are ready for the night.
Alyndar Monday November 6th, 2000 3:59:40 PM
The anger on Aly's face toward these women are prevalent to the others. It appears to the others that Aly is doing everything in his power to restrain himself from lashing out at these women. As the women walk past, his glare is that of death upon them. His eyes then turns towards Sly and Uteva and for a moment they see contempt from him, then it changes to compasion. Aly turns and converses with the dwarves for a few minutes, and then moves towards the cart where the others are.
Sir Thomas Monday November 6th, 2000 4:29:40 PM
Thomas follows Embarri to greet the mysterious women. "My suggestion was just advice since I know so little about the situation, but I think you are a wise soul Ebarri. I also think you have made the right choice. We will have to see what comes of it. May Alemi watch over us." Thomas then starts to go to take his place at his watch position for the night when Quint stops him. "I'm sorry Quint, I don't deal in that area. I am only worried about what is entitled to Alemi and Domi. The others are dealing with that. Sleep well tonight and we can worry about that in the morning. be sure the watch is set up at our camp and I will be over when both of my watches are finished." With that, Thomas goes to his position and paces watching not only the perimeter, but also the mysterious women, dwarves and the camp of his friends.
Trace and Radiant Monday November 6th, 2000 4:59:40 PM
Before bedding down for the night Trace finishes his story with Favor about the orc leader. "Yes favor I tell the truth about this. It was just last night, we were camped just like this and had but one guard when they raided us. Our friend Sir Thomas took the brunt of the attack last night but some how held on. There leader was not a bear but an orc that was the size and looks of a bear. He even spook some common language. A group this strong I am sure someone has heard from them." After listening what Favor has to say on the subject Trace thanks him for the coffee and conversation then bids him goodnight. Trace makes his bed roll out and walks over to Uteva and softly touches her on the arm, "Hey, I will take watch after you so wake me when your ready. Goodnight."
Ilsidur Wayfinder Tuesday November 7th, 2000 10:30:40 AM
Ilsidur bids good nite to Trace and the others, then makes his way to the wagon. Picking up his books and writing tools, bid a restful nite to Uteva. Ilsudur makes his bed, then his prayers and add to his entry in the books. Sleep does not comes easy to him this nite.
Sly Foxx and Luke Tuesday November 7th, 2000 11:07:40 AM
Sly listens to the story that Trace is spinning, and speaks up "Before you get to the point in your tale where we were suprised, and got cauth with our pants down. I'm going to bed, PEACEFUL NITE to you all." Turns and walks behind Alyndar, and ask him "Alyndar Sir, do you have a cookie for Uteve and I, you know alittle snack before we go to sleep?" Just for a moment we saw the look in his eyes, before his eyes changed. We (Uteva and Sly)watch Aly make his bed on the other side of the wagon. Sly turns to Uteva asks"Did you see his eyes? Know what I mean? What can we do for him?"
Uteva Tuesday November 7th, 2000 11:37:40 AM
"Until Alyndar asks for our help, we must leave him to work it out for himself, Sly." Louder, she says, "I'm not inclined to any more treats before bedtime, thanks." She gives the half-elf's hand a quick squeeze. Teva mumbles a sleepy agreement to Trace's message and soon drifts to sleep.
Lok Mufflefoot d20=4 d100=21 d100=80 Tuesday November 7th, 2000 12:07:40 PM
(err mistakenly rolled 20, meant two 100's) Coming back to his camp after the night, the halfling spends some time, as usual enjoying Alyndar's food. Right as many of the travellers were turning in the halfling quietly moved (21 ms pass) over to the women's side of the camp not quite staying in the shadows (hs miss). Trying to catch a smidgeon of the conversation over there before he turns in for the night, the halfling attempts to listen in to a conversation or two before moving back to their side for sleep.
Alyndar Tuesday November 7th, 2000 12:37:40 PM
Aly watches as everyone else readies themselves for bed, he apprehensively motions to the cookie jar when Sly asks for a few cookies and then proceeds to go over the wagon meticulously. Making sure he knows where everything is and goes. He takes care of the animals, making sure they are tied to the stable line tightly. Aly prepares his bed in a way to offer him maximum protection versus an attack at night with optimum visual awareness. Aly also rigs up around the camp noise makers, tin cups, pots and pans, eating utensils strung together as an early warning device. When Aly finally does turn he, he makes sure his weapons are close and his combat pouch is closer. It takes a bit longer for him to finally doze off, but he does so lightly, like he is expecting an attack during the night.
Sir Thomas Tuesday November 7th, 2000 1:07:40 PM
Sir Thomas stands perfectly erect at his watch like a good sentry should. From time to time he will change positions by pacing to a new slightly different location. He keeps within sight of his friends' resting place, and thus on them. When not watching the camp, his attention is focused on the darkenss outside the camp.
Qwint Edsa Tuesday November 7th, 2000 1:37:40 PM
Qwint walks over to Sir Thomas and says "If you are going to take two watches, then take the first and last, that way you get the most sleep. I'll take second watch." He then goes and puts his armor right next to his bed, and already opened so all he has to do is close it. He puts his sword in it's sheath to the side of him and puts his bow and quiver on top of the sword. Smiling, he says "Now I'm prepared"
Fate or Destiny? (DM Jerry) d100=87 Wednesday November 8th, 2000 10:49:40 AM
Favor listens intently to Trace's recounting of the previous night's attack and Sly's additions to the story. He says, "I will be sure to pass this information along as we make our way north. However, I wonder if their purpose isn't just as simple as this Bear monster said: that he is there to attack you. There is something about you folk...an aura of power or something. My gypsy instincts tell me that it ties you to a destiny....a fate. Beware of that fate my friends. Fate is powerful in the present. It may only be defeated by changing your actions now. Following the fated path may or may not be a good thing. But it is clear that the Powers have marked you for something important.
Lok overhears the gypsies talking. He is sure that one of them is noticing you and speaks so that you will hear what he has to say. "The followers of The One abduct both men and women for their purposes. The men are used for breeding, pleasure, and vile ceremonies which leave some dead or brainless. The women are brainwashed and recruited. Their purpose: who knows: Power, revenge for their goddess, an upheaval of the status quo? No one knows for sure. But they have come upon the scene here quickly and with power. And they move intelligently, avoiding outright conflicts and charming those who oppose them."
[Sorry for the late post. The last one didn't take for some strange reason.]
Sly Foxx and Luke Wednesday November 8th, 2000 12:58:44 PM
Sly is making his bed under the wagon, putting his sword next to him and Luke. Petting Luke and remembering what the Gypsie Favor had said, thinking to himself *Hmmm maybe that gypsie is right?* Sly looking at his tatoo in his hand.* that Orc Bear is after us and if we don't stop him, He'll run us down until we are all dead* Looking to where Alyndar is sleeping *And poor Aly just made some more enermies. This is going to be fun fun fun.*
Ilsidur Wayfinder Wednesday November 8th, 2000 1:06:12 PM
Ilsidur is very restless, the slitest breeze awaken him. Not too sure he looks around and see that Sir Thomas is on guard, now he feels better. Taking a dagger and puttinf it under his headrest, he now feels better and will try to go back to sleep.

Thomas stands, dutifully watching. Alert and prepared. Stoic.
Lok Mufflefoot Wednesday November 8th, 2000 9:09:50 PM
Strangely not upset by this report the halfling makes a mental note to himself to question the women personally at breakfast fully well knowing that gypsies are quite superstitious. Playing with the new silver ball some to try to find out if it can hit things from his pocket the halfling finally decides it is time to turn in. Happy with his new toy and hitting the hay until it is his turn to watch the halfling is quickly asleep.

Rain! (DM Jerry) Thursday November 9th, 2000 9:58:34 AM
RaLok finds that he has to complete three circuits with the throwing ball before he can throw it. He also finds he has a slight headache after practicing with it for awhile.
About 2 hours before dawn, the sky clouds over and it begins to rain. Quickly it becomes a downpour and drives through the camp in sheets. Anyone on guard may make a perception check at -3.
Uteva Thursday November 9th, 2000 1:16:00 PM
The young woman spends her watch near Alyndar's cart, nervously eyeing the camp of the Dark One's servants. When the time comes, she quietly shakes Trace awake and turns in.
Sometime later she awakens to driving rain, and sleepily tries to crowd in under the wagon with Sly, muttering complaints about the smell of wet wool before nodding off again.
Ilsidur Wayfinder Thursday November 9th, 2000 2:05:58 PM
Ilsidur is awaken by a rain storm, and he's not in a very good mood. Grab his bedroll and blanket (and anything else that under there) and splashes to the wagon. Ilsidur get down on his hand and knees "Move over the both of you, before I get soaked." The Dwarf starts to make his bed all over again, and grumbles all the time. It will take him about three minutes to fall back to sleep.
Sly Foxx and Luke d20=11 Thursday November 9th, 2000 2:27:39 PM
(OOC: Sly Pass perception check) Sly was awake when the rain started, and wondered how long it would take for Uteva to come under the wagon. So he moved down the back end of the wagon. He no sooner got settle, when down come's Uteva mumbling something about wet wool. A good chance she fell asleep fast, because Sly was laughing at the sceen. When along comes Ilsidur grumbling all the way, and made his bed then fell asleep. Now Sly is laughing so hard, that tears are rolling down his face.
Lok Mufflefoot d20=5 Thursday November 9th, 2000 3:43:48 PM
Sometime during the night the wet drops awoke Lok. Mumbling and grumbling he realized it was not long before he was to take his guard position for the night. No more happy halflings dancing around the square. Time for reality no more dreams. Wandering over, the halfling joins the gypsy guard and looks out into the rain. His brand new toy had given him quite a throbbing head and all he wanted was sleep. Suddenly (pass perception 5) something caught his attention...
Sir Thomas d20=1 Thursday November 9th, 2000 5:04:04 PM
Sir Thomas rouses the next person when his watch is over, whether that person is in his group or in one of the merchant wagons it matters not. He then heads for his own bed. He crashes and awakens with the rain. And with his usual positive attitude, "Well, it's almost dawn. I guess I'll get up and pray." Thomas dresses and armors himself before he takes time to pray to his overseers. He then hangs out with someone on watch and makes a friend or strengthens a tie already made. (rolled perception check just in case I fit into the proper category for that. passed rolling a 1)
Trace and Radiant d20=15 Thursday November 9th, 2000 7:32:27 PM
Trace finishes his watch in the rain then awakens Lok for his turn in the watch. Drying off the best he can Trace crawls under the wagon next to Uteva to try and catch a few more hours before dawn. Before going asleep he mumbels something aloud to who can hear, "With all this shopping going on buying fancy armor, weapons and such, I think we need to buy a large tent for such occasions. Smileing at Uteva Trace falls asleep.
Alyndar d20=8 Thursday November 9th, 2000 9:24:06 PM
The sudden downpour awakens Aly from a light sleep. With his senses on full strain he jumps up and looks around, like expecting an attack. He puts on his combat pouch and gleams out into the night, looking for movement and an impending attack. Aly also glares towards the camp with the new women and perviews where the dwarves are, making sure they notice him and letting them know that he notices them too. =)
Qwint Edsa d20=7 Thursday November 9th, 2000 9:30:46 PM
(Not sure what skill Perception is, but I would pass it with all of them) Qwint hears his cat meowing, and wakes up, muttering at the rain, then, suddenly, something catches his attention!
Masks In The Rain (DM Jerry) Friday November 10th, 2000 10:13:26 AM
Those making their perception checks see some cloaked figures moving off in the dark and the rain. The masked sisters are breaking camp early.
Dwarven voices carry via the wind unintentionally in your direction. One says, "Good riddance. I'd have killed them if they had stayed much longer."
Another says, "Besides they were all skinny and had no hair under their masks."
A third one says, "Now I can get some sleep. No way was I going to become witch food."
The camp guards seem to notice the departure, and seem relieved that they are gone.
Sir Thomas Friday November 10th, 2000 8:32:34 PM
Sir Thomas notices the figures leaving. He takes not of whether it looks like they are simply leaving or whether it looks like they are trying to sneak away or hide something. In fact, since he is awake and waiting on dawn he will go offer his assistance to them. He approaches their group, "May I offer my assistance to you in your packing efforts?"

Sly still vigil and watching, see the mask women packing. What's this, * Sly tells himself,*The mask ones are leaving? In the MIDDLE of the night?* Then sly spy's Sir Thomas going toward the mask women's camp. Sly will slip from under the wagon (very slilently/with Luke)and go to a vantage point and watch,"Quite, Luke"said Sly, and count the women heads and just wonders.
Qwint Edsa Friday November 10th, 2000 9:39:53 PM
Noticing the cloaked figures, Qwint thinks nothing of it, but is too awake to go back to sleep so he builds a fire and sits by it, warming himself up.
Trace and Radiant d20=3 Saturday November 11th, 2000 4:30:05 PM
Seeing that everyone is curious about the masked ones leaveing Trace decides to to ahead and get on his armor and have an early start to his day. He goes and helps keep the fire going in the rain.
Alyndar Saturday November 11th, 2000 6:20:09 PM
Aly notices with much apprehension the Masked ones, leaving in the middle of the night, Aly also finds this to be odd so he gets dressed in full gear, puts his combat pouch on and grabs his other combat items, he signals to the dwarves, letting them know that our group notices and then starts going around, waking the group up and telling them to prepare themselves in case something happens.
Lok Mufflefoot Sunday November 12th, 2000 10:23:59 PM
Curious as to their early departure the halfling skips over to one of the last women. Looking at the strange masked woman he says "Why are you women moving out so early? Doncha need hot morning beverages? You going hunting? Did you see my new silver ball by the way?" He begins juggling as he questions the woman.
Bedraggled Uteva Tuesday November 14th, 2000 12:01:32 PM
Teva blinks stupidly up at Alyndar in the pre-dawn gloom before waking fully. Then she nods and straps on her gear. Crawling out from under the cart, she joins the others at the fire for a much-needed cup of tea.
"Ah choo!" With her limp hair clinging to her face and neck, huddled inside her cloak, the little bard looks bedraggled and miserable. "Sorry guys," she says quietly, wrinkling her nose. "I once spent two weeks in close company with a flock of damp sheep and a very cranky peddler. Wet wool is one of my least favourite smells."
She watches the women break camp. "I think they have the right idea. Better to be wet and moving than wet and bored. Shall we break our fast and move out as well?"
Teva helps Alyndar assemble the morning meal. "I dreamt I was drowning in a pool of thick with balls of red yarn, while Trace watched me from the comfort of a beautiful silk tent," she muses. "I wonder what it means."
Dm Ceil - Good Morning? Tuesday November 14th, 2000 6:51:20 PM
The sun rises in the East, It looks like it's going to be a beautiful day. The camp is wakening and the women are getting the morning breakfast and coffee ready. Your party is wakening and streching. the party goes to the stream and washes the sleep out of their eyes and refill their canteen with fresh water. Wondering what the day will bring, a meeting after breakfast is in order. Something is uneasy???
Sly Foxx and Luke Tuesday November 14th, 2000 6:59:22 PM
During the late part of the night, Sly was courious of the Mask Women. He had a bad feeling about them, even when they pass and glared at Alyndar. Well any way Sly waskes his face, and bring back some water for Alyndar, and ask of him, " What do we do next, Sir?" while feeding Luke(The dog seem to love the Orc rations)
Alyndar Tuesday November 14th, 2000 9:20:39 PM
After the uneasy night passes and a new dawn brings a more pleasant day, Aly goes and starts preparing breakfast for the group and the dwarves and whoever else wants to be fed. On his menu is flapjacks with raspberry sweet syrup and strips of sausage and his ever popular biscuits with honeybutter. While preparing breakfast he declines help from the group mates, instead, bidding them to break camp, getting everything ready to depart as soon as breakfast is over and everything cleaned up.
Qwint Edsa Tuesday November 14th, 2000 9:26:41 PM
Qwint eats his special treat for breakfast and looks around, still not at full health. He looks around the camp, and decides to keep his money for later. He puts on his suit of armor and puts his sword in it's sheath.
Sir Thomas Tuesday November 14th, 2000 10:24:04 PM
Not receiving an answer from the women, Thomas assumes that they are passing on his offer. He returns to his own camp to find the rest of his friends rising and making busy in the brightening morning. He pitches in by packing tents and sleeping bags and whatever else needs to be done. He then sits to eat Alyndar's WONDERFUL cooking and prepares to head for the road. "There's nothing like an adventurer, except to be a chiper adventurer. Let's get going friends. We have nowhere to go and all day to get there."
Ilsidur Tuesday November 14th, 2000 11:08:57 PM
Ilsidur rolls out from under the wagon when he hears the rest of the party start to stir. While the party breaks camp and Alyndar creates another feast called breakfast, he says his morning prayers to Most High Marmathon Dur. [OOC: I will keep the same spells.] When his morning rituals are over, he moves towards the fire and takes his share of breakfast. "Alyndar, you never cease to amaze me with these culinary feats. Thank you again." After eating he helps clean up, then readies his gear for another day on the road. "So, where are we heading today?"
Silky Trace and Radiant Tuesday November 14th, 2000 11:46:32 PM
Trace gets ready for the day and takes a few extra moments longer putting on his new armor so as to impress certian indivguels. Trace walks back to the campfire to eat breakfeast and pats Uteva on the back, "Morning, are you going to be ok?" Trace turns to the group, "Will someone with a cure wounds please cast a spell or pray upon my blue gem here, it will store it and I can release it later on when needed?" Trace continues to strut around showing off his new purchases while talking to the group.
Uteva Wednesday November 15th, 2000 1:15:17 PM
"I'll be better once my gear dries out, Trace." She smiles at him and raps her knuckles on the breastpiece of his armour. "Spiffy."
Teva's mood brightens with the day, and she quickly packs up and gets ready to go. Over scrumptious flapjacks, she chats with her friends, laughing at Sir Thomas' comment. "Did any of you learn if any of these folk have heard of hobgoblins or orcs troubling the area? Are we still heading for Hook City? I haven't been there since I was quite small. I don't recall much but an impression of a vast and magical place."
"Qwint," she says, turning to the quiet warrior, "How are those wounds this morning? Will you take it easy today, and ride in the cart?"
The freckled young woman says her farewells to Boredoc and the other dwarves. "It was my priviledge to share your company. May your road northward be smooth, and your journey, all that you hope. And may our paths cross again in this Wold."
