As you all start checking your things, you find that everything is there and alright. Moments after you start, a very quiet and embarrassed Lyric shows up at the door. At Jus' questions, he replies very succinctly. We was gonna come right up but we figgered as you was eat'n we would have our din too and well as we finally got up here this be what we foun'. Didn't think you'd want as we should touch anything untils you seen what had happened. I was waitin heres fer you but had to use the jakes. I am awful sorry bout this, the boss already done whippe a few of the boys. I come to give you back the money you gave us today for your errands as this was our fault.

Eventually you all get packed up and find that nothing is amiss. Nonan immpatiently gets The Three to all get into a nice, little, outward-facing circle, and tells you all to hold hands while he checks on the travel arrangements.

Moments later afer some disorientation you find your self all on a narrow dirt road. the sound of light waves comes to your ears on your right. There is an area of denser dark to your left. The night is overcast but there doesnt appear to be any threat of rain. You can barely make out the thin slive of a moon just rising over your right shoulder, so the road seems to be running almost due north/south.

Relying on his darkvision to see, Nonam quickly scans the area, "Well, shall we check out the town first? Onrad and I could go quickly since we're already invisible."
Nonam casts fly on himself while he waits for an answer and moves up to get an arial view.

Onrad pulls out his lantern of Infravision and activates it. He takes a look around. (note it only lets the user or those in it's path see, it doesn't project a beam--strangely enough.)

He whispers, "Ready for whatever."

"I'd say a covert approach would be appropriate as they may not be aware that we can get here this fast - but I'm sure they know we're coming. Have your blue daggers ready so they can identify them when we get there. These guys may have them too.".

Jus looks around, ready for battle. He doesn't pull out his sword, lest its blue glow betray the party. Signaling towards the shadows, Jus heads for the cover of darkness, hoping the others follow.

In the near distance about 1/4 mile there is the glow of what could only be Brinkwater. The only thing that you see as you look around are each other and quite a few hot spots moving through the trees on your left. All the vague shapes seen are smaller than man-sized and appear to be animals. As you make your way to the town things appear to be quiet. Just ahead is a closed gate with a gatehouse. There is definately a heat signature eminating from the gatehouse, particularly from around the door edges.

"Let's let Nonam and Onrad come back with their scouting report before we make our presence known. But I would suggest we sneak in because we may have already entered. I think the local authorities would detain us if our imposters are here already.". The warrior looks for a way in other than flying or something. At least a low spot in the wall which is not watched too well.

Nonan flies over and around town and really doesn't see much out of the ordinary for a town of this size. There are still a few people out and about but for the most part people seem to be inside. (it is of course after 11PM) There are several inns that seem to be doing good business. Of the two busiest; The Chromatic Scale seems to be a little more upscale and the Malted Manticore is just slightly above "dive" status. Nonan's survey of the town takes roughly 45 minutes.

Gareth looks over the wall and realizes that there is no place that the wall is over 3 feet and in many places trees hang over it. You get the impression that the powers that be here either don't worry about de-fense or that there is no-one or no money to repair it.
The Gate in front of you isn't any better. At closer inspection you doubt that it could even be closed, if it was needed. There is no apparent way to lock it and the metal is in such poor condition that Teku could probably bend the bars easily.
As you look these things over and await the arrival of Nonan, the huts door begins to open. "Ah quit yer grous'n, I'll be back soon enuff, I jes gotto use the wall. Jus deal me in, I've got more to win from you three." An don't drink all the ale." The lackadasical guard, if thats what you want to call him, as he wears only a dagger that you can see, exits the hut, looks around and then heads around the back side of the building for a call of nature. Several moments pass and as he returns, he is now walking towards the gate, he peers into the darkness. (if you are not invisible roll a save vs spell at a bonus of +2. This will detern=mine if you are seen or not.)

Seeing the disrepair of the wall and gate, the warrior whispers to the others - before the guard comes out. "Let's sneak in from a side not posted with guards. Shouldn't be difficult for any of us. We can move around until we either see the drow, they see us, or somebody mentions they are in town and where. I'm sure they are what everyone is talking about if they have made their presence known.". The warrior waits while the guard scans hoping nobody is seen.

Nonan doesn't know that the guard has left his hut due to the fact that he is flying around town and is nowhere near. However as you turn to to go back there appears to be some sort of disturbance at the Chromatic Scale. In fact you suddenly see several pieces of furniture and bodies come flying through the doors to lie motionless in the street.

As the rest of you move back out onto the road away from town you see nothing and you hear nothing outside of normal night noises. Moments later Nonan manages to find you even though you left him behind with no clues.

The warrior waits for everyone to return and says "Let's go in. We need to find these guys fast. If they are consistent with what they've been doing, they will probably be in the taverns somewhere causing trouble - or killing our drow allies if possible.". The warrior moves over to the wall away from the guards and climbs over - unless someone has another idea.

Onrad moves on and stops at what appears to be a safe distance from the city gates. He suggest that the group now turn right and enter the city at a place that "dear Nonam" suggests.

You very easily and without being seen by any manage to get over the low wall and Nonan's directions are good enough that you get to the inn without getting lost. Funnily enough, when you get there, there is no one in sight outside. There is however a broken chair sitting in the middle of the road. The Sign to the Inn is a shimmery something about the size of a great shield. It doesn't seem to keep any particular color except that it keeps its irridecence. Above the sing, that is held in place by brackets, as opposes to being nailed into place, are the words The Chomatic Scale. From inside you hear strains of music and general INNness.

The warrior pauses a moment. "Before we enter and announce ourselves, I think we should try and find the drow or our doubles by more covert means. I'll look North around town since I'm more noisy than you guys. Perhaps one of you should go into the Inn and someone else take any other open establishments. Lets meet back here in say - 20 minutes?". He waits for confirmation or other ideas before leaving.

Nonam says, "No, we might not have 20 minutes. I was gone so long because I checked the town well. If they aren't in this inn, we need to move on to the drow encampent. Like I said before, I can shadow walk us there. It will be fast, and we won't run the risk of bumping into something unpleasant in the monster preserve. But first, somebody needs to slip in here for a quick look."

"Back in two minutes. I'm already invisible. You guys wait around the corner or something. Not right here in front. [pause] Just a suggestion. [pause] Here I go."

The party sees the the door swing open.

Onrad looks to see what is inside. If he spots any of our imposters immediately, he just closes the door and goes back to the party.

If not, He looks to see if anyone is staring at the door. If so, he leaves it open...like the wind blew it or something. If not, he enters and closes it.

Onrad will then move around the room, silently as possible, and check each person quickly. If someone leaves, he'll leave as the door opens. If not, he'll make his way back through the kitchen and out that way so less people see the door open again.

As Onrad opens the door and steps through the door, the entire population of the Inn turns to see who is entering. Onrad can tell that things are just getting put back in to place after what must have been one heck of a brawl. Of the twenty or so patrons, only a few seem not to be nursing some bump or bruise. The musical entertainment even seems to have fallen victim to the ruckus as evidenced by several broken instruments.

Seeing no one and seeing that the door remains open, several patrons rise to and do, close the door.

This is a sample of what Onrad hears.

"Jeesh, I can't believe we're all so jittery now."

"Yeah well you did'nt just get your head cracked and your arm broken"

"Well, Bertram isn't likely to be walking on his own for several months yet.

"And those were supposed to be heroes of the realm?" "Ptuie." "Worse than those damned Drow if you ask me."

"Yeah, at least they pay their bills and stay to themselves."

"What's the Wold Coming to when supposed heros act like that. Now I remember metting the Gold Dragons once, Now there were some heroes. Even the shapechanger. Even he was polite and always as paid for everything." These guys? Heck they can't even count. Call themselves The Three when any child can see there's six."

"We just missed them. Our imposters started the fight here. There are broken bones. One guy won't walk for weeks. And everyone in there is cursing our name. These guys are gonna pay! And pay big time."

As Onrad rejoins the group out front, Teku starts looking around for any sign of the Imposters and lo and behold he just happens to catch a glimpse of what might have been himself ducking around a corner, a few blocks up the street.

(ooc The only sheet i am missing at this point is Jus' and i know why there is a hold up there. Go ahead and send me a copy to work off of because we are soon to be in 3E combat mode.)

Quickly, but quietly, Teko says, "I just saw me running behind that building. Oh, you can't see me..." And Teko describes, by direction and appearance, the building the non-Teko just ducked behind. "Shall we go?"

"Well let's get them, but be careful. This whole affair could become very confusing. We need to make sure we don't attack the wrong folks. For now let's hope they don't have these drow knives. I know it would be hard to attack something so magnificent, but it must be done."

After giving the warning, Nonam flies in the direction Teko mentioned and looks for trouble.

The warrior follows the sound of Teko's footfalls and says "This way, guys.". He moves toward the place Teko is speaking of. With a wry smile he adds "I've always wanted to kill Nonam, anyway...". :).

Onrad turns to Teko and mimics him saying, "But teaching them a tiny lesson couldn't hurt? A tiny lesson? It might hurt? The have injured innocent people in our name! They killed Jus' date! They attacked us and our reputation. Sometimes I wonder why you are an adventurer and in our group Teko. I really after all this time don't know what makes you tick."

Then as Teko describes where the corner is, he makes his voluntary perception check (2E style) to realize where Teko is pointing. Onrad then grabs Tericus and says, "Come with me then. I'll lead you." Onrad heads to the opposite side of the street from the corner that Teko points to at top speed, side by side with Tericus. (Which side is that? Left or right? Could we possibly have a map for positioning?)

"'What makes me tick?' Now, you mean?", Teko asks. "Why necromancy, of course." Teko offers a disembodied, quiet chuckle, but then becomes silent as he nears the corner. He peeks around the corner, and, assuming he sees the evil Three, casts Glitterdust upon them.

Nonam moves flies up and over the evil Three to a height of about 50 feet.

Once in position, he casts Cone of Cold down into the center of the group. The air turns horribly frigid beneath Nonam's downstretched hand as the cone blasts those beneath him. (diameter at bottom =50 feet, 52 points damage each, reflex save for 1/2, DC=22)

Nonam becomes visible and uses the rest of his movement to gain as much altitude as possible. He believes that he shouldn't have trouble seeing the badguys outlined in the glitterdust, but he hopes they'll have difficulty seeing him in his black robes against the night sky, especially once he gets beyond the range of darkvision and torchlight.

"Hey, there they are...." Tericus says to Onrad just as the evil Three is zapped with Noonan's spell. "Well, I guess I better help." he says and casts Hold person right in the center of the group(affects 2, -2 to saving throw)

Jus sees everyone's reaction and Nonam's spell go off from up in the sky. Immediately, he thinks, too easy followed quickly by Teko!

Not wasting any time, Jus calls out "Careful of illusions" then casts Shield and turns to face South of the party [according to map], expecting a trap complete with backstab attempts. Moving to put his back against the wall of one of the buildings, Jus attempts to Hide in the shadows (rolled 18).

As he rounds the corner and spies the imposters, the warrior sizes up his adversaries. He notes which of the imposters is held and targets any who escaped the spells, focusing first on "Nonam", then "Gareth", then "Jus", then "Onrad". He closes and begins carving - this time with both his weapons. He cuts into the 'mage' in an attempt to dispatch him before he can attack.

(Note: his 2nd target is chosen based on the above priority and proximity. i.e. He would engage whichever one was closest and not break off contact. Also, if Nonam dies he applies his remaining attacks on the next target. One last thing: Gareth gets an "Improved Great Cleave" so if Nonam goes down he gets more attacks - which we can handle next beginning of next round.)

(Missed some pluses. Plus roller only goes up to 20 - Attack 21 had +23). Numbers are adjusted to accomodate: Hit 40,32,21,26; Dmg 36(Crit)+19+12+12=79)

As Nonam's spell hits the street three of the glittering figures are struck down and frozen solid. gareth and jus seem to just shrug the spell off like it was nothing nonan stumbles out of the ice obviously hurt but apparently readying something. Tericus' spell seems to have no effect. Jus turns and looks around for sneaks and sees nothing. Gareth Ploughs into nonan and starts cutting and quickly dispatches the mage..........

The gareth and jus both take attacks of opportunity and attack Gareth from the flank as he attacks nonan. (both hitting for 27 points)Their regular attacks both barely miss as as they speak as they attack. "Why are you attacking us."........

Suddenly from above a rain of arrows find their marks as Gareth is struck five times for 34 more points. As Nonan rises in to the night a fireball arcs into the night from a roof top right at him striking him for 35 points (relex save at DC24 for 1/2 damage)

Jus suddenly fels as though his muscles have become cement and don't want to move.(will save DC19 or be held)

The magic of the hold spell begins to coalesce around Jus, but can't seem to bind in the manner its caster desired. The magic fades quickly, unable to accomplish its task (made SR roll).

Jus swings his Shield around to face the party's foes (AC 29 to his West, 22 to East). Using his Circlet's darkvision to aid his aim, Jus begins his own incantations, the power rolling through the words of his tongue: "magus ego impero incendia dilato quadrum". A ball of fire streaks outward, exploding in a Fireball behind and between enemies 5 and 6 -- far enough behind the lip of the building to shield his own party. 25hp damage reflex sv DC 17 for half

As Nonam falls the warrior turns and cuts into "Gareth" and scores a massive blow. [Great Cleave Feat give Gareth an extra attack from last round since Nonam was killed]. He cuts into him nicely yelling "Imposters! You will pay for what you've done!". (Hit 41, DMG: 24x2=48)

NOTE: I can't remember how 20s are scored. Does he do maximum damage x 2 (Critical hit) or just roll and multiply it times 2, or does he roll again and add the two... I rolled 17 for DMG if it needed to be done in which case its 17x2=34. Please roll the extra d20 and damage if appropriate.

The warrior winces as the arrows stick him, but he continues his assault in full attack mode on "Gareth" and cuts into him again with 4 swift and efficient attacks. "My equal indeed..." he retorts. His first two land soundly cutting into him badly, the first off hand attack bounces off and he swing wide with his second (if his AC is the same as the real Gareth, that is). (Hit:26,27,18,15; Dmg: 18+22=40).

Nonam feels the heat of the fireball, but dodges its full effect. HE wishes he'd been more careful, but it's too late now. Too late. He sees Gareth down below and shouts, "You Idiot! Those are fakes of the fakes! Get the ones on the roof!"

The wizard lowers himself slightly and attempts to use his darkvision to identify which of the baddies is Nonam based off the direction the fireball came from. While de tries to figure it out, he casts Wall of Force in a dome over 1,2,& 3 effectively trapping them (no save).

Gareth turns and attacks the false gareth and while his knees buckle and he is definitely hurt he does not fall and turns his full attention once again upon Gareth missing with his first strike but connecting with his return strike.(damage 6 points).

Tericus runs in and casts his spell on Gareth leaving himself wide open for an attack of opportunity from the false jus. (AC 22,for 10 points) and then the false jus lights into him with a flurry of blows. (AC 22 for 6 points)

Nonan drops and tries to spot himself and casts his wall of force at three of the opponents. The shimmering 22ft in diameter dome coalesces and completely surrounds 2 and 3. Number 1 was out of range of the spell and is not caught in it. As he starts looking for himself again, a wash of extreme warmth caresses his backside.

Jus fights the hold spell and literally returns fire at 5 and 6. His fireball streaks up and out and even with the careful placement of the spell, Nonan is still in range for 1/2 damage save for 1/4. (DC 19 7th level. 1/2 dam is 13)

Teku's fires his wand in perfect timing with Jus' fireball and all hear the creaking and groaning of a building about to fall. Gareth and Tericus need a will save DC 20.

Onrad stands and watches trying to decide where he is needed most.

#4 watches what is going on below him and casts a spell a bolt of lightening flies from his hand at Nonan and then jumps to Gareth, Tericus, and Teku. (34 points for Nonan, 21 for Gareth Teku and Tericus. Reflex save for half DC 23)

#6 fires another arrow at Gareth. (misses)

#5 fires 2 arrows one at Tericus and one at Gareth (both miss)

#1 curses as he realizes his spell did not affect Jus the way he wanted again turns his palm downward and a brilliant searing light strikes Jus. ( 22 points no save, spell res. caster level 7)

Nonam flinches as he gets caught in Jus' spell. He hadn't intended to come down so low. Then he gets blasted by #4 and curses loudly about figuring it out the hard way, but he now knows who he's after.

Nonam casts Phantasmal Killer at #4.
(Will save to disbelieve. If it fails roll fortitude or die. 3d6 dmg if fort roll passes.)

Regardless of the outcome, Nonam flies down to the ground north and west of the Busted Flush. He gets right up against the wall so that he's out of #4's line of sight.

Seeing the lack of effectiveness of the imposters the warrior continues his devestating attacks cutting into "Gareth" once again - knowing now that there is yet another Gareth to deal with once this is over. He attacks "Jus" with whatever attacks are left after killing "Gareth". (Hit AC 35,33,24,26 - DMG 20+22+10+9=61).

Note: I rolled a "Great Cleave" attack to be delivered to "Jus" in case Gareth kills "Gareth" (AC 33, 17 DMG). Also, I rerolled the 1's for Damage - which we have always done. There were 2 if you care to take them.

Jus' eyes go wide as a searing flash of light heads his way -- he has no idea what this spell is nor what it will do to him. When the light hits him, pain fires throughout his body. [failed SR]

Wanting to make sure that doesn't happen again, Jus casts his own spell right back. Hoping there is enough slant on the roof to help with his plan, Jus creates a thin layer of grease on the rooftop, centered under his foe's feet (#1). With any luck, the caster will shortly fall off the building. [Grease - see spell for save effects]

Teko dodges the lighting, but does not go unfrizzed. Trembling, he uses his wand again this time on #4. Another Gareth climbs quietly up onto the top of #4's building from the far side (i.e. from the east). He stays low, sword in hand, but makes noisy steps along the way. When #4 turns around, the illusory Gareth will brandish his sword and, with fiendish expression, walk confidently toward his foe.

Nonan sends his spell on the way and then moves to a new location, moments later there is a scream of terror followed by one of pain, from where #4 is located.

Gareth's final attack ploughs through gareth and sends him to meet his maker and he turns on jus delivering a mighty blow that rocks the imposter.

Tericus reaches out a hand and once again touches, Gareth leaving him feeling better than he was moments ago. But Tericus is rewarded by his good deed by feeling the sting of yet another strike from the fake jus.(10 points)

Jus sends his spell at #1 after being struck himself and is rewarded by a loud curse, a thud and moments later watches with glee as #1 falls off the sloped roof and falls 30 ft to the ground.

Onrad makes his way to the side of The Busted Flush and begins his climb and easily reaches the edge of the flat-topped 25 ft building.

Teku activates his wand and is not sure what is going on he top of the 40 ft tall building.

Up on the 40 ft roof you hear all kinds of noise and even see some pyrotechnics, but nothing seems to be sent your way. At least for now.

#1 stunned for a moment manages to make his way to his feet and takes out a nasty looking mace and starts swinging it casually.

#5 and #6 send three more arrows into the fray all are aimed at Gareth. this time he is struck by two for 14 points.

Teko uses another charge from the wand to create an illusion of a brick wall, 10ft tall, 50ft long, floating in mid-air about 10ft in front of #5 and #6 so that it obstructs their view. The wall does stay just high enough that the feet of #5 and #6 are visible to Teko.

The warrior is taken aback by Jus's words: Could it be possible that he was attacking innocents?!? He remembers the lack of attacks he has been encountering from this set of imposters and he begins to look closely at "Jus" to see if he is real or if he is some poor soul passing by at the wrong time and got illusioned to look like him (Will Save DC 23!). If the warrior cannot tell he presses his attack on "Jus" (Hit AC 32,36,23,19 for 24+20+9+9=62 DMG). If this is really just an illusion he exclaims "Tericus - they are illusions, get out of the line of fire.". With that he holds his attacks, turns invisible and moves over to the side of the "Busted Flush" where he closes his eyes and quaffs his potion of flying - which he pulls out of his pack.

Onrad pulls himself over the lip of the roof, and approaches as quietly as he can [natural 20 for 24 Move Silently check!! (15' max)]. Waiting to attack until the last minute, Onrad hopes he catches #5 flat footed and starts to swing from behind. With all his caution, Onrad got caught up in the moment and failed to notice the hole in the roof. Momentarily off-balance (attack roll of 1), his dexterity training takes over allowing him to recover, jump away from the hole, and swing again [hero point, att 28 (possible critical), dam 11; critical check attack roll of 17, another 12 damage if critical attack roll hits)].

Jus grins as the false Tericus falls at his feet. Not quite close enough to get in an immediate shot [outside 5' attack of opportunity], but still close enough for Jus' satisfaction.

Jus takes a 5' step due South so he can keep his Shield oriented East to deflect attacks from Tericus and the rooftop foes #5 and #6. Swinging his swords, he tries to find a hole in Tericus' defense. Full Attack His first swing is clumsy, but may still be effective [attack:14;damage:9, or att:17;dam:12 if the false Tericus is evil]. Lunging with his off hand, Jus doesn't do much better [a:16;d11 or a:19;d:14 if evil]. Solid now, Jus makes one final attempt with his Drow Slayer. Slipping by Tericus' attempt to parry, Jus scores a hit -- he just hopes it was good enough to do some damage [a:12;d:6 or a:15;d:9 if evil].

Teko fires off his wand yet again and a brick wall appears floating in the air starting 20 ft up.

Gareth, thinking about what he has heard and seen, He looks closely and realizes that not only are the foes that they are facing on the ground illusions, they are also Drow, three of them are women and they are all wearing a very familiar family crest.

Jus steps up and attacks tericus missing twice and finally hitting on his last attack.

Onrad attacks his foe and sees that he is facing gareth having caught him flat footed his attacks seem particularly effective.

Nonan drinks his potion and suddenly feels much, much better.

Tericus quickly moves into the alley and casts a spell on himself.

#6 onrad turns at the sound of Onrad's attack on Gareth draws a bead on him with an arrow and lets fly and misses badly.

tericus returns Jus' favor and attacks himself with his mace and grunts with the effort of the swing and the subsequent miss.

From above Tericus there is a sound and then suddenly there is a fire ball rushing down on top of him. (37 point reflex save DC18 for 18 pts)

The warrior is stunned by his folly and exclaims as he breaks away "I have failed you, my friends. Our enemies are on the roof - and will pay. We must work together or more tragedy will occur. I will beg your forgiveness later.". The now invisible and enraged warrior flies to the top of the roof and lands behind #6 and with perfect stealth and swiftness delivers 4 devestating attacks from behind - not leaving many large pieces.(Hit AC 45,(37),40,(33),31,24; DMG 24+(24)+24+(24)+12+12=120!!!) [I swear I didn't rig this] {The () indicate critical hit rolls, the natural 20s I assumed did maximum damage.}

Instead of attacking Onrad as he is plowed into, gareth instead grabs hold of him in a grapple and pulls Onrad off the edge with him. (Roll relfex DC22 to not be on the bottom when then hit bottom. both take 9 points + whoever is on bottom takes an additional 7 points)

Gareth having turned invisibe last round manages to get to the top of the building silently but does not get in an attack.

Tericus lies in the alley no longer bleeding due to the potion he had just drank and the fireball searing all other open wounds so is no longer losing any hps, but is also no longer moving.

Nonan drinks his potion but only makes 20 ft of travel this round.

Teku takes his potion and moves 10 ft.

onrad on the roof watches as Onrad rushes gareth and both go off the roof and fall through the brick wall. Realizing the the wall must be an illusion he tries to find a target for his bow but can't seem to see thru the wal.

You hear the sound of very strange cackling coming from nonan #4, and moments later 5 darts of light move swiftly toward Onrad striking for 16 points. (magic missile no save Magic res ok lvl 11)

Facing Jus, tericus pauses as his whole body shakes and changes right before Jus' eyes finally the shapeless humanoid figure strikes out twice at Jus missing both times.

(Once more with feeling...) Seeing that "Onrad" is having difficulty finding a target, the warrior gives him one as he cuts into him 4 times and turns visible. Too angry for words at these jerks - and himself for his grave error - he gives the imposter an icy stare and focuses his rage into precision attacks. The deft warrior nearly loses himself in the fight and recovers one attack that would have otherwise gone awry (Hero Point to reroll the 1). Onrad twists his body to let Gareth take the brunt of the fall, but isn't quite able to get out in time [Missed DC by 1, can Tumble be used to reduce damage with Gareth holding me?]. "Oof!"

Pulling himself up, Onrad guages this false Gareth wondering if he's really as good as the real one.

There's one way to find out.

Not wanting to waste his spell, Jus tries a touch attack again. He doesn't hit well, but luckily the beast's natural armor bonus, armor bonus, and shield bonus don't help him.

Nonam feels the magic racing through his veins as the potion of double casting goes to work, and he gets that dangerous far away look in his eyes.
He continues his flight shouting out, "I do not cackle like that!" Once he gets to where he can see evil Nonam, or at least aim for the top of the roof. He casts fireball (44dmg, reflex DC 20 for 1/2).
Then empowered by the potion, he casts another fireball at the roof 4 is on (42 dmg).

As the wizard watches the balls of fire streak to the roof, he cackles in glee in anticpation of the results of that much magical fire on a building.

Teko works on Tericus and after a while and manually making Tericus swallow, He manages to get the entire potion down him (55% chance). At first it doesn't seem like anything is going to happen and Tericus just lays there. Then finally, with a severe and violent convulsion, Teku begins to breathe very shallowly. As each moment advances his breathing becomes deeper and easier and his color returns to normal. One round later Tericus sits up and seems to be fine (Tericus make Fortiude save for you Packed posessions DC15)

Jus senses that his spell went off well, but nothing sems to have happened as the creature attacks again hitting the second time for 7 points.

Gareth's attacks on onrad are very successful and onrad falls to the roof top unmoving.

Onrad attacck gareth and sandwiches a miss between two hits as gareth gets up off the floor. (yes Tumble would help and I made the adjustment you were not on bottom)

Nonan lets go with two fireballs and nails nonan with them, though when the smoke clears nonan is still standing and turns and fires back at Nonan with a lightning bolt for 36 reflex DC18 for 1/2 dam)

The flying wizard gasps as the lightning zaps him, but he knows that he didn't suffer the full effects.

Then he gazes down on his double with an evil grin and shouts out, "Try it like this!"
He casts his own lightning bolt back (34, refDC20 for 1/2). Then just to make certain that he did the job (and maybe to try to keep the building from burning down), he follows with a cone of cold (50, refDC22 for 1/2).

As he casts, Nonam's eyes shine with the magic from the potion, and he's getting that mad, possessed look again.

Then Nonam targets Jus' enemy with a few magic missiles. Five bolts of energy shoot from the airborn mage's fingers and explode into the baddie (20pts).

As Nonam casts he starts giggling like a madman. He looks like he's about ready to fry everyone on the ground.

Teku sees an Onrad fighting with two Gareths, but whether he is real or not, he doesn't really know. No other Onrad can be seen currently though.

The creature facing Jus suddenly is starting to look like Gareth when he stops in his tracks. even stopped and not moving only to of Jus's attacks strike home followed very closely by 5 fiery missiles.

Gareth and Onrad both strike home on gareth and do damage but gareth is still standing. Swinging in return at Gareth striking twice for 39 points. (Gareth make a will save at DC20)

Nonan sees no apparent result from his dispel magic speel.

Teko moves to the monster that Jus is engaging. He steps behind it and attempts a sneak attack with his longtooth dagger, hitting an armor class of 27 (no dex bonus to AC) for 6+5=11 hps of damage.

Onrad getting caught up in the three-way dance for a second has a doubt as to which is which. However, he quickly remembers a few wounds he gave this Gareth (made voluntary Int. check of 17) and bears down on the false Gareth. He draws his second sword and kicks himself into high gear. Two primary attacks hits AC22 and AC15. Two off hand attacks hit AC10 and AC20. Not knowing the AC, the potential damage rolls are: 13, 13, 9, and 9. (Kent and/or John, please send me my current hit points. Thanks John for playing Onrad. You did well. Very well.)

seeing the monster surrounded, Tericus joins Jus and Teko in attacking it, hitting Ac 14 for 5 pts of damage

Nonam casts Magic Missile again and claps in glee as the five energy bolts strike the monster before Jus (17dmg).

Then, just to make sure, Nonam casts Chain lightning. The first blast hits the monster before Jus (39pts, ref DC 23 for 1/2). Then the arc shoots to the false Gareth (21pts).

Nonam dances back and forth in the air doing his best to make electricity noises after the spell goes off. "sizzle,snap,crack,bzzzzzz"

The warrior feels a shock to his system. The damage from the attack perhaps? Or maybe a magic spell? He fights off the effect - whatever it was - and fights on (23 sv!). He tears into the imposter once again intending to take him down fast as he doesn't want to take another flurry of hits from his double [Hit AC 28,37,(37),30,(23),19 for 21+15+(21)+7+(11)+7=82 DMG.]. Yelling to Onrad - as if it mattered at this point - "I'm the one with 2 swords, not one!".

Looking to the drow with sadness he says "I'm so sorry for my error. I will make recompense once the battle is over.".

Nonan's spells go off without a hitch and Jus' opponent visibly shudders and and with tericus' and and Teko's attacks it falls to the ground.

The second part of Nonan's chain lightning streaks toward the entangled Gareth's and strikes them both Gareth (dam 21 ref save DC23 for 1/2 dam) As Gareth's attacks and then Onrad's attacks strike home, gareth wobbles, looks at Onrad with a very hurt expression, and says, "YesI am the one with two swords, and The gold dragons won't be first much longer." He then turns his back on Onrad and attacks Gareth with both swords missing both times.

(ooc I have Onrad as down 68 hit points)

Onrad grins at the false Gareth and then falters. (missed check rolling a 3.)

"Alright, quick. Gareth what is the name of your mother and where did she get the scar below her left ear?"

Onrad readies his attacks to attack the one that answers correctly. (see private note.) He rolls 15, 21, 20 and 12 for 8, 10, 11, and 13 if they hit.

With a show of surprise, Jus looks around with a smile, "Teko? I was wondering what fell that... thing. Let's go"

Running back around the corner, Jus sees Gareth, Onrad, and Gareth in combat and swings his Shield to be between him and them.

Unfortunately, Jus is unable to tell which Gareth is real [Missed will check]. Since he didn't see the false Onrad go down, he can't tell if this is the real or fake Onrad either. "Great. Can you tell who's the baddies, Teko? Tericus? I can't."

Jus looks to the roof of the buildings for any more foes. Seeing 2 and 3 (if they are still there), Jus fires an arrow at #2, only to see it bounce off of an invisible barrier. "There's two more left on that building," Jus yells, pointing, "they have something blocking my arrows, so we'll have to try magic or melee."

"One more thing," Jus asks Teko and Tericus, "do either of you know who is down?"

Stunned that his double did not fall under his last barrage of attacks, the warrior once again lays into him yelling at his friend "I killed the fake Onrad and you know it. Why is he attacking you if he is real?". [Hit AC 27,39,(27),24,20 for 20+17+(24)+12+12=85 Dmg] He also yells to Jus and the others "There are still 2 of them up there on the roof that you know are fakes. Somebody get them so they can't cast any more spells!". The warrior looks around at the elves, wondering why they are just standing there. What are they doing?

Nonam watches the fight from up in the air, and he starts muttering to himself, "Which Gareth is Gareth? Which? Fireball. Fireball. Fireball both. No can't do that. No. Nope."

As he rants, he drifts down closer to the fight. Suddenly (just when he says, "Nope") he reaches out, touches Onrad, and casts a spell. Onrad is instantly protected with a stoneskin (phb3 p257, absorbs 110 pts dmg).

After touching Onrad, Nonam whispers, "Gone" and casts invisibility on himself for no apparent reason. The potion is obviously making him go crazy again.

Onrad looks with consternation at his friend, "Yah that makes sense, but you still didn't answer my question."

Onrad is definitely confused. "This is useless! I'm wasting time here. You're on your own buddy. Good Luck!"

Then to Jus, "Let's get those guys!" He points to #2 and #3.

Onrad runs to the building (I need the latest map please someone) where #2 and 3 are and begins to climb to the top of a building for the second time (climb check of 19). (I don't have a map so I don't know how far to it or up it I can get.)
