Same here, the 2 books I got really upped my hp and AC.

PPS - As my role of Sheriff, I officially declare that this game is concluded in re: to posting requirements. We'll get the new game started and after a few weeks, we'll start tracking them there... Of course I know that we'll keep up the same Wold leading level of posts ;)

After the party at the Giggling Ghost, Vauhwyt goes with Vorelle to visit Dirt City, and helps her to start her school. The liontaur has lots of ideas for using walls of stone to make better tunnels, and uses her stonecrafting to make stone doors and tables and statues and signs and such. She also uses her Fabricate and Poly Any Object spells to make more stuff. A stick of wood becomes a huge log, and even untrained, with enough Greater Heroism and Crafter's Blessing she can churn out decent Fabricated beds and chairs and such.
And with her Wolf contacts and Intimidate skill, making sure there are no threats to the school is not too hard. But she only frowns at people Vorelle points out to her.
Many evenings, she Word of Recalls back to Scarwall, hanging out with her other friends. It feels funny to have an actual home after all the long years of wandering and hiding. It feels even stranger to have no enemy gunning for her. But she keeps up her Detect Scrying and her new Mind Blank spell every day -- because you still never know!
She keeps in touch with her old pals via telepathy and visits home. If any of the non-sorcerers ever want to go anywhere, or just to come home for a visit, they can Word of Recall back, and Vauhwyt will teleport them wherever they want to go. For a while, anyway.
Because eventually she comes up with her scheme to recover the lost harpy that was inside a bag of holding when it was ripped to shreds. Soon she gets the poor dead thing back, and with Priscilla's help, reincarnates it as a halfling boy.
For a little while, she is happy, but she feels her divine abilities fading, and she knows Gargul is mad at her for restoring the child to life without permission.
At last, she goes off to atone, and for a long long time, no one hears from Vauhwyt.
She leaves Mookie -- still glowing from Alemi's blessing -- behind to look after the boy, named Bliss.

After the party, Brahmah spends the morning recovering in one of the Giggling Ghosts most shabby rooms.
He stops by the WLA to draw up a sailing plan and to get assignments. Where might there be trouble on the seas... we'll go there! Maybe he'd be lucky enough to run into a few of the Marteus's remaining Minions. Or meet up with the Doctor on his mutant island again... he had scores to settle, but he wouldn't seek them out. If Domi, Ga'al or Gargul had specific missions, they could find the Captain easily.
The ranger picks up his bear friend Polo from the holding area and asks him if he would like to go on adventure. The bear seems willing, but he is somehow antsy. Brahmah thinks for a while and determines that its mating season for his friend. So after some soul searching, Brahmah takes Polo to the woods near Acid City, a protected part. The bear could do well here. Neither wants to leave the other, but they will stay connected and stay friends. If he needs anything and Brahmah is still at sea, he should be able to get back to the castle with little problem. Or find Jass or Malgant.
Brahmah makes a stop at the local Catacombs branch to pick up a few things for his crew and the ship. He requisitions armaments for the ship and light armor for the hull, and MAPS of every charted placec available, just in case. But most importantly, he picks up an Orb or Storms.
He says a brief goodbye to all his friends and asks them to keep in touch.
The ranger asks Jass specifically to check on Polo from time to time.
The old ranger, vengeance for the one centaur no longer in his heart and protection for the Wold as a whole on his mind, the minotaur's head clear for the first time in a very long time.
The Catacomb Outfitters have just finished his ships upgrades. The upgrades complete, Captain Brahmah signs paperwork and dismisses the upgrade crew.
The minotaur Captain raises a spyglass to one eye.
Brahmah stands tall on the bow of his ship, the Courageous, as it sails from Acid City Port and into the nightmares of pirates, evildoers, brigands and cutthroats.
