The Chosen of Domi
One of the games in our fourth expansion, the Chosen of Domi campaign spotlights the Taur races--the Centaurs, Minotaurs and even the Lion-taurs called Wemics! The disparate group strives to prove to the splintered peoples of the Taur Isles that they all can, indeed, work together for the greater good of not just the Taurs, but the entire Wold.
2nd October 2000 TO PRESENT
Volume 1: SunderQuest 2nd October 2000 The diverse Taur races must find out what a mysterious dream ultimately means to all their peoples.
Chapter 1: Dream a Little Dream 2nd October 2000 Inhabitants of the Taur Isles share a strange dream. A select few are singled out and commissioned for a quest.
Chapter 2: Eye of the Storm 30th October 2000 All three ships are overtaken by a storm and the three bands of questors-minotaurs, centaurs, and wemics end up on a mysterious island.
Chapter 3: The Chosen Path 27th November 2000 Strangers to each other, the groups bond together in time to fight a pair of giant worms. After forming a shaky alliance the newly formed party embarks on a perilous hike along a winding trail to the center of the mysterious new island.
Chapter 4: Which door will it be? 25th December 2000 Acting first, and asking questions later, the group learns that the monster was set to guard the cave entrance by the god Domi!
Chapter 5: Domi and his Taur 15th January 2001 In which the Chosen of Domi meet their patron and receive his blessings and gifts.
Chapter 6: Exploring Hearthold 25th January 2001 Domi/Tomi/Imod explains his vision of overcoming the conflicts between the diverse taur races and uniting them into one powerful force for good.
Volume 2: Flying Purple What..? 12th February 2001 Is there a ghost haunting an important vineyard on Centaur Island...or is it something worse?
Chapter 1: The Summons 12th February 2001 A messenger from the centaur island arrives in Hearthold and informs the newly formed party that the Clearspring Temple ceremonial wine supply is being threatened. Hollyhocks, centaur druid of Domi explains that the Surefoot Family Vineyard is rumoured to be haunted and asks the group if they would be willing to investigate.
Chapter 2: The Surefoot Family Vineyards 22nd February 2001 Sadly, not all taurs have embraced the idea of unification and some bias is shown towards those descended of bovine and feline lines. The party gathers clues but are no further ahead.
Chapter 3: The Grotto 22nd March 2001 On investigating the reports of a flying purple ghost, and other pranks, the party tries a variety of ruses to flush the perpetrator(s) out without success.
Chapter 5: The Vineyard by Night 10th May 2001 The Taurs decide to set up a stakeout to see just who--or WHAT--is making off with the Surefoot wine.
Chapter 6: The Aftermath 12th June 2001 The smugglers are caught and turned over to the local constabulary, and the party rewarded with the promise of a lifetime supply of wine from the Surefoot Family Vineyards. Having only imbibed Purple Wine, and not the Sacred Blue Wine, the satyr is let off after paying a small forfeit.
Chapter 7: Plea for Leniency 10th July 2001 Learning of the dire fate that is to befall the captured smugglers, the party seek out a temple leader and plead for leniency.
Chapter 8: Prophecy 6th August 2001 The Minotaur rogue/ranger Kale is witness to a little girl's prophetic utterances. He shares his experience with the rest of the party, supposing that their next journey should be to a place called Lankhmar, but they first strike out for their new home--Hearthold.
Chapter 9: A Leader 3rd September 2001 Having returned to Hearthold to rest, recoup, and re-arm, the party also decides to elect a leader.
Volume 3: Year of Ascension 15th October 2001 Marteaus has slain the God of Courage, Domi. What does this mean for the Chosen of Domi, and for the Wold at large?
Chapter 1: Minions of Maldreen 15th October 2001 The citizens are in chaos, and the dead are walking! Can the party thwart Maldreen's plan to raise an army of undead as well as coping with the horror of Domi's death?
Chapter 2: Day Of Darkness 29th October 2001 It's the day after the horrible death of the god of war...but where is the sun? And how will Domi's death effect the entire Taur civilization..?
Chapter 3: Sunrise on a Changed Wold 12th November 2001 The Chosen begin to cope with the changes that follow the death of Domi. Kular is near death, and healers must be found!
Chapter 4: Say The Word ... LOVE! 26th November 2001 A month later, Kular is better, but in a coma. The Chosen must seek a complete remedy.
Chapter 6: New Faiths 9th January 2002 When the Chosens are offered to worship Alemi and fight the Love cultists....
Chapter 7: Divine Chaos 22nd January 2002 In which dire predictions are made, and mad bombers threaten the Reunited Heart
Chapter 8: The Undicovered Country 5th February 2002 In which the Chosen are transported six months into their own future and meet themselves, and witness the End of The Wold!
Chapter 9: The Return Of The Taur 20th February 2002 In which Tarsus, the First Taur, possesses Kular's body, and sets the Chosen on the path to reanimating his dead Heart.
Chapter 10: The Voyage of the Merry Mermaid 27th February 2002 In which the Chosen make their way by sea to the far-off Plateau City, encountering upon their travels sea serpents, megalithic Plateaus, evidence of the approach of the loathsome armies of the dark Lord, and a member of the far-fabled Gold Dragons.
Chapter 11: The Green Tortoise Club 26th March 2002 In which a meeting with the High Priest of Alemi proves to be an ambush set by the minions of Marteaus, intent on preventing the reincarnation of the Heartstone, and a terrible price is paid for victory.
Chapter 12: The Labyrinth of Imod 15th April 2002 In which the Chosen of Domi take the HeartStone to the sacred Temple of Imod to promote Unity, but discover instead a High Priest intent on inter-racial war.
Chapter 2: The Roundup Festival 28th August 2002 The Chosen enjoy the festivities and partake of a few games such as Pin the tail on the Centaur, Singing Hellhounds and the Dunky tank. A fun time is had by all, especially the hordes of wemic children which mob the Chosen.
Chapter 3: The Hellhound Hunt 4th September 2002 The Chosen of Domi are given the high honor of being invited to participate in the annual hellhound hunt on Wemic Island. They join Rhirehan and Ybirard out in the field as they seek to irradicate the fearsome pups, and everyone wonders when Ybirard will learn to use his longspear!
Chapter 4: The Chosen Hunt 20th September 2002 After hacking several hellhounds into itty bitty pieces, the Chosen find out that they have become the prey. A group of religious zealots attempt to assassinate the Chosen after sending hellhounds to weaken them up first. Read on as several of the Chosen come close to meeting Gargul face to face.
Chapter 5: Spikeball!!!!!!!!!! 15th October 2002 After being wrongly accused of murdering one of the religious zealots, the Chosen are ordered by the town elders to participate in a game of spikeball. After mopping up the game with a score of Chosen 3 Opponents 0, the Chosen are once again attacked by the zealots, and Zeoll the Lesser passes on into the afterlife.
Chapter 1: The Beginning 5th November 2002 Someone or something is disturbing the final resting place of centaurs.
Chapter 2: Relic hunters! 25th November 2002 On the outskirts of town the party encounters a group of minotaur claiming to be on the hunt for a missing relic.
Chapter 4: Where are the others? 22nd January 2003 Having defeated a horde of zombies lead by minotaurs under the influence of the evil god Marteaus, the party are confronted by the local villagers.
Volume 6: The Hunters 3rd February 2003 The village smithy has lost track of his son and some of the local colts during the recent battle. Will the Chosen of Domi help find the missing boys?
Chapter 1: Trailblazing 3rd February 2003 Moving deep into the forest near the town, the party follows centaur tracks for several hours.
Chapter 5: An ill wind 7th June 2003 On returning to town with the surviving colts, the party are confronted by the messenger who first sought them out. Minotaurs and Liontaurs are no longer welcomed on Centaur Island!
Chapter 13: Bad News! 16th September 2004 While sorting out the loot taken from the dragon's lair, it is learned some of it is cursed!
Volume 9: The Black Sword, part One 11th October 2004 Having left their precious 'packages' behind, the group learns that their arch nemesis, Vargas, is preparing to attack the Taur Isles.
Chapter 1: Meet the Overlord 11th October 2004 Bored and anxious to have done with the exotic Floating City, the group recieves a summons from the Overlord.
Chapter 4: The Longest Night 21st December 2005 On the eve of the Winter Solstice the party arrives at Pullman's Crossing. Will there be any room at the inn?
Chapter 5: The Path Less Travelled 8th January 2006 The party take a short cut through the Wyrmsfut Swamp in order to reach Flyth's cave before all the good stuff is auctioned off!
Chapter 6: Flyth's Cave 1st February 2006 The Chosen of Domi check their weapons and enter the cave where the auction is to be held. Will they find what they are looking for?
Chapter 7: Auction Fever 14th February 2006 Who will be the highest bidder and win the precious box of maps?
Chapter 2: The Sea Hag 17th April 2006 With some trepidation, the Chosen of Domi book passage home on the decrepit looking Sea Hag under the command of Captain Albert Ross.
Chapter 3: Flotsam and Jetsom 7th May 2006 As lightening highlights a rocky reef off the bow, the Sea Hag runs aground, sending all hands into the sea.
Chapter 4: Lost! 8th June 2006 The Chosen of Domi find themselves stranded on a strange island.
Chapter 5: A Formal Affair 9th July 2006 The Chosen of Domi discover a very civilized estate in a hidden valley of the island.
Chapter 7: Survival of the Fittest 25th August 2006 The sound of a hunting horn signals the start of a contest that will test both brains and brawn. In pairs, and without their leader, will the Chosen be able to survive the day on the Island of Dr. Mauroth?
Chapter 8: Aftermath 1st October 2006 The Chosen of Domi must decide between seeking revenge against their cruel host or escaping the island to continue their mission for Domi.
Volume 13: Search for the Black Sword 5th December 2006 The Chosen have only just returned to their beloved Hearthold when they are off again--this time they must beat Vargas to a fabled item of power...a Black Sword that has ancient ties to The Wold.
Chapter 1: "X" Marks the Spot 5th December 2006 The Chosen have their clues to begin their search, now all they need is a ride there...
Chapter 2: Are We There Yet..? 22nd January 2007 The Chosen seem to have beaten Vargas the Mad to Wemic Island...but will they beat him to the possible location of the Black Sword?
Chapter 3: Into the Secret Valley 13th February 2007 The Chosen have bravely run away from danger...but is it a case of "out of the frying pan and into the fire"...?
Chapter 4: Secrets of the Ancient Wemics 12th March 2007 The Chosen have survived the mountain...now, can they survive the interior of the mysterious ziggurat..?
Chapter 5: The Chamber of the Veiled Queen 19th April 2007 The Chosen of Domi enter what may be the inner sanctum of an ancient ruler of the wemic tribes...what awaits them?
Chapter 6: The Chosen Ambush Vargas 1st May 2007 With the knowledge that their enemies are right behind them, the Chosen spring an ambush on Vargas and his cronies.
Chapter 7: Vargas Fallen! 16th May 2007 The Chosen divide the enemy, drive off some, and defeat the chief of their foes! But the Black Sword possesses Flat-top!
Chapter 8: The Trip Back 30th May 2007 Vargas escapes, the Sword is quelled (for now), and the Chosen leave the pyramid of the dead queen.
Volume 14: The End of the Black Sword 14th June 2007 The Chosen enter the final chapter of the epic that has driven them -- now that they possess the Black Sword of Gargul, their job is to destroy it.
Chapter 1: The Eye of Gargul 14th June 2007 The Chosen search for the priest of the god of death who will help them achieve their quest.
Chapter 3: The Tears of the Land 23rd July 2007 The Chosen learn that they must go to an island in the Shipwreck Shoals, where there are many geysers and hot springs.
Volume 15: The Doctor's Isle Revisited 20th September 2007 With the Black Sword destroyed at last, the Chosen decide to tie up a loose end -- the evil mad doctor who captured the Chosen some time ago and who remains free to torment others.
Chapter 2: The Brother I Lost 4th October 2007 The Chosen seek divine guidance ... and meet the captain of a pirate-hunter ship.
Chapter 3: Centaur Isle 6th November 2007 The Chosen sail here first to seek news of the evil doctor or the pirates who supply him ... but are attacked by undead at the dock! After that, looking for answers, they look for clues about the Doctor in town, and end up at a tavern.
Chapter 4: Corruption Rules The Roost 7th December 2007 The Chosen discover that a corrupt captain of the guard is running the town. The best way to stop him is through a former honorable guard turned rebel, named Jaktar.
Chapter 5: A Crossroads 3rd January 2008 The Chosen face a choice: Ignore the evil here in order to keep pursuing the Doctor, or pause to investigate and then fix what is wrong with this town. After discussion, the Chosen decide that the Doctor must wait.
Chapter 6: Into the Sewers 22nd January 2008 Looking for Jacktar's hideout, the Chosen enter a set of foul sewers.
Chapter 7: Golem Fight 10th February 2008 The Chosen meet a minotaur in the sewers who aids them in a fight against flesh golems.
Chapter 9: Friends Old and New 3rd April 2008 The Chosen find an unknown drow, an unknown centaur, and Flat-top bound in webs after the spiders are defeated.
Volume 16: Blackmaine the Usurper 8th August 2008 An evil presence arrives immedietly after the death of Fort Stag's Manager. Jacktar, the Captain of the fort was chased out of town and forced into hiding, declared an outlaw by Blackmaine and now wanted for murder.
Chapter 1: Return to Fort Stag 8th August 2008 After resting from the vicious attack, the night before, by the gnome wizard, the group plans on seeking knowledge on the malice that has invaded the community.
Chapter 2: A storm is here 26th August 2008 The group enters Fort Stag, to one way ort another, remove Blackmaine from power.
