As our heroes make plans to defend Oshirr House, their view of the keep suddenly flickers and they realise they have been duped by a massive illusion. The army of fey-kobolds in the distance fades, and those with a clear view of the East and West realise the army is already upon the keep and is preparing to storm the walls. Caught by surprise, the student defences panic. Our heroes note the army also consists of fey-orcs, and worse: fey-ogres.
With impeccable timing, the large red dragon swoops over the Western wall and roars. The resulting ball of fire explodes outwards and consumes most of the North-Western corner of the courtyard. As it's massive leathery wings beat their downstroke, Kendry, Airin and Podo realise the dragon has a rider - Gargul!
Meanwhile, Maab lands near Bralin, Gilan, Peerimus and Tishe in the form of a Roc.
