Who is it?
Scald, one of the most powerful Old Ones, resides within a vast hot spring lake of the same name, brimming with fountains. Her rule is marked by brutal force, as she expands her territory by asserting control over more and more water features in the area.
Scald's immense power and her attachment to Scald Lake enabled her to break free from Fhorge's prison. She often opposes Fhorge leading to a tense and precarious relationship between fire and water, which all mortals in the Scab watch with a close eye. Open war between the two powers would cause much devastation and chaos.
Scald promises her followers the power to break free from the chains of others, both literal and metaphorical, and to indulge in their most extreme impulses without fear of consequence. Her followers believe that she represents freedom from the constraints of society, and they are often drawn to her because they feel oppressed or marginalized by the people around them.
However, while Scald presents herself as a champion of freedom and individuality, her true motivations are much darker. She is driven by a desire for power and control, and she delights in causing chaos and destruction wherever she goes. Her followers are encouraged to act on their most violent and destructive impulses, and she is particularly fond of empowering them while they do.
Due to this nature, Scald attracts mostly evil followers and her worship is generally frowned upon in most civilizations, if not outlawed entirely.
