There are a few things that any traveler between continents should know on how the Southern Continent is different.
First, the Southern Continent is a patchwork of lands, and from time to time, these lands reshuffle in a Great Migration. Maps are generally unreliable, and those who make maps suspected of nefarious schemes or insanity. Some of the first visitors from the North to the South wrote about it in a famous work known as The Mysteries of the Southern Continent.
Second, while each land has its own history and cultures, they are generally more wary of strangers than the lands around the Elennan Penninsula.
Third, that wariness extends to the gods of the Wold. While now known since travel between continents exists, the Gods of the Wold are distrusted, and most people honor a range of greater and lesser powers instead.
Special: The Great Migration. It has been speculated that the Immortals of the Southern Continent reshuffle the lands every couple of centuries to ensure mortal conflict doesn't rise to need a Cataclysm. During a Great Migration, those on the edges can actually see the the lands fly about and twist. And this migration also affects magic! The ability to use any interdimensional travel (ie Teleport) from one land to another is blocked from Migration start to six months after. Some sages theorize that this happens because the patchwork lands of the Southern Continent are literally in different dimensions during a Great Migration. Others think their colleagues are crazy, because even in the middle of a Migration, people have been known to fly or even jump from one land to another if the lands were close enough!
Note: The last Great Migration was caused by the Children of Chaos ringing the Chaos Bell to stop Ga'al the Dominator from controlling the Southern Continent. Sages have speculated that the Chaos Bell has made it so there will never again be another Great Migration, but only time will tell.
Some of the lands of the South include:
