This is a Tapestry game I created in 2004 to test the then new Woldian rules for special attacks, such as grapples and trips. This was back under 3.5, and the system created the Pathfinder CMD mechanic long before the Pathfinder game was created. But it still stands alone as a tough module to completely win. It features a very limited timetable, a race against the clock and against devoted foes, and the chance for partial victory.

Title: Jangle's Quest

  • Game: Tapestry
  • Date: March 2004
  • Author: Cayzle

This is a Tapestry game I created in 2004 to test the then new Woldian rules for special attacks, such as grapples and trips. This was back under 3.5, and the system created the Pathfinder CMD mechanic long before the Pathfinder game was created. But it still stands alone as a tough module to completely win. It features a very limited timetable, a race against the clock and against devoted foes, and the chance for partial victory.

Here is a link to a zip file containing all the needed files: Jangle Quest Zip File.

Here is a look at the map before combat and after the last round. There are some secrets here, so don't give this link to players.

Here is the game as I ran it in the Golden Tap in 2004. (Notable for the participation of such Woldian Old Hands as SteveK, Al, MikeK, and Marcin).

I could have sworn another DM ran it as a Tap game once upon a time, but for the life of me I just can't find it in the archives.

If you do run this module again, check the player list on the two games above so you know if any players are repeats. And add a link to your version of the game here after it is done!
