|[[Image:Bonetown_-_Captain_Renchild.jpg]]||Captain Renchild||Human (male)||FIghter/Expert/Rogue||Hostile|| align="left" | Renchild is a man of two natures; one public and one private. His public face is a curmudgeonly ship captain who tries to make an honest living while trying to avoid being under the command of anyone but himself. Neither good nor bad, he is a man chiefly concerned with his own well-being and comfort. His private life takes a drastic turn, however, revealing him to be a greedy, cruel man who does not hesitate to extort or hurt those who stand in his way. This side of him is opportunistic, coming out when the potential for profit is at its highest and he is unlikely to be put in harm’s way. Renchild is the previous Captain/owner of the Lionfish. He fled the Lionfish mutiny and his whereabouts are currently unknown.

Bonetowners have a passing acquaintanceship with concepts such as ‘government,’ ‘civic duty,’ and ‘citizenship.’ After the rigid discipline of their ship captains, pirates have little tolerance for the yoke of governance once they set ashore. The closest thing to a head of state possessed by Bonetown is the Harbormaster, Linus Icahn. A former captain in the Aisildur navy, Linus absconded with his ship and turned to adventuring after his heartseed was removed. He also happens to be a scion in the Shipping Guild of Elenna, though what role he plays in that diminished organization and what influence they may have in Bonetown is yet to be realized.

Linus arrived in Bonetown several months ago with a shipful of gold and several former adventuring compatriots. In a fortnight he convinced the Captains’ Council to allow him to police the harbor. When they asked him why he wanted to do that, he simply replied, “I see potential, good sirs. I see potential.” The Harbormaster ensures general order along the docksides and marketplaces, though for a pirate enclave this amounts to little more than preventing looting or murder. Petty acts of larceny and vandalism are ignored, but anyone attempting a mugging in broad daylight is likely to draw the attention of the Harbormaster’s men. Dueling, on the other hand, is considered a spectator sport and more likely to draw crowds and betting than legal intervention. The Harbormaster (call him Linus and you’ll be thrown in the harbor!) doesn’t allow such things on the docks. What happens elsewhere, he doesn’t care about. In fact, if there is a murder going on two feet off the edge of the pier, he’ll watch silently and do nothing.

Linus enforces his rule with hired guards, typically posted in small guardposts that look more like small outhouses at various spots throughout the docks, wearing the blue Jolly Roger on bands around their arms. They do have some small, fast boats to go out into the harbor waters if needed, but usually they leave such things alone. They are more interested in keeping order than solving crimes, however, so investigative work is unheard of. These guards are led by Linus’ capable right-hand man, Enoch Almraiven. Almraiven is a former mercenary and officer in the Mailed Fist and came to Bonetown with Linus Icahn after several seasons of adventuring together.

As a captain in the Mailed Fist, he had a storied career on the continent before retiring. Enoch Almraiven is a Dirt City native, but he spent most of his adult life elsewhere. When he was fifteen, he joined the Mail Fist under an assumed name. As ‘Sander Morgan’ the young man became a seasoned mercenary. By the age of eighteen, he was leading his own brigade. At twenty, he was a captain. He gained a reputation as a ruthless and effective commander, and “Morgan’s Raiders” became rightly feared on the battlefield. His company was in the employ of the Aisildur Empire for a time, and following that regime’s collapse Almraiven found himself a wanted wan despite his mercenary standing. Fleeing the crumbling empire, he joined with Linus Icahn’s adventuring party and found employment with the entrepreneur to his liking. He now works in Bonetown enforcing the Harbormaster’s taxes and tariffs on goods coming through the docks (and sometimes even keeping the order, when it’s convenient).

|[[Image:Bonetown_-_Tula.jpg]]||Tula||Human (female)||Expert/Rogue||Bosun|| align="left" | In another life, Tula would have found success and happiness as a rich merchant's wife or nobleman's mistress - possessed of classic beauty and grace, she has a quick wit and knows how to gain and keep a man's interest when it suits her. But in the life dealt her by fate, Tula grew up a fishmonger's daughter where the hard life and local conditions gave her callouses and crow's feet, not to mention a wide social gulf between her and any man of reputable social standing. Not content to marry herself to poverty, Tula took to the life of a sailor and has spent the last few seasons gaining a reputation as a reliable and level-headed seaman. Currently employed as the bosun aboard the Lionfish, she is in charge of seeing that the equipment, sails, rigging, and ropes on the deck of the ship are in tip-top shape. She is also in charge of informal discipline, and is the first person consulted when crewmen start a fight or are insubordinate as they all respect her. While she has been approached by several of the crew with romantic interests, she has turned them down uniformly, not seeking to burden herself with a relationship likely to bind her down. She is also the most informed of the crew, hearing most of the gossip and crosstalk that passes through the hold and across the deck of the ship.  Since the command of the ship has come into the hands of the PCs of Bonetown, Tula’s duties have grown to encompass more of the responsibilities of a First Mate.  Her pay is now 5gp per day.

|[[Image:Bonetown_-_Cato.jpg]]||Cato||Human (male)||Expert||Carpenter|| align="left" | While officially Ship’s Carpenter, Cato is the general handyman aboard the Lionfish and repairs everything from wood to iron to canvas. Having sailed the seas for nigh forty summers, there is little that surprises or impresses him. Seemingly as tough and personable as the wood he works with, most of the crew see him as a skilled, though crass and sharp-tongued old man. The one apparent chink in his armor is his humble apprentice, Horace. Found aboard the Lionfish several months ago as a stowaway, the goblin was going to be cast overboard until Cato intervened, paying for his passage and taking the goblin as his indentured servant. Though he is quick to remonstrate his apprentice for mistakes, he does not allow any of the other crew to bully or harass him.

|[[Image:Bonetown_-_Horace.jpg]]||Horace||Goblin (male)||Commoner/Expert||Carpenter's Aide|| align="left" | Horzub gro-Azkaj was born into slavery in the slums of Kul-Jarak. He was purchased as a child and has spent most of his short life as a galley slave aboard an orc merchant vessel. When his ship docked in Bonetown, Horzub seized the opportunity to escape and leaped overboard. He swam for the closest ship, the Lionfish, and climbed through a porthole. He hid in the cargo hold for several weeks until he was discovered and surreptitiously saved from death by Cato. Though now indentured to the old carpenter, Horace (as he was dubbed by Cato) is fiercely grateful and strives to help and assist him in every way possible. The goblin is still learning the finer points of polite interaction and often struggles with devolving to the blunt ferocity of his slavery. He also has problems with discerning what is acceptable food, having been threatened with physical violence more than once for eating a beloved parrot or cat.

Bonetown - Harbormaster.jpg The Harbormaster Human (male) Bard/Venturer Friendly

Linus arrived in Bonetown with a shipful of gold and several former adventuring compatriots.

Bonetown - Enoch.jpg Enoch Almraiven Human (male) Fighter/Connoisseur Friendly Enoch Almraiven is the right-hand man of the Harbormaster and his chief enforcer.
