The spell grants the spellcaster elven sight. The caster gains low light vision. In addition, he receives a +2 bonus to Perception checks, and can automatically check for secret doors when he passes within 5 feet of one. These bonuses are similar to the elven ability and does not stack with natural elven sight. The focus for this spell is an eyelash from an elf or a fey creature, usually embedded for safekeeping in a crystal or locket.

There is a side effect of this spell -- while it is active, the caster is sickened (takes a -2 penalty on all attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks) while carrying or using a cold iron weapon, armor, or shield. When hit with a cold iron weapon, the caster takes an extra point of damage, but is not sickened.
