Who is it?

In the Wold, many powerful immortal creatures exist. Some are powerful enough and disruptive enough that the Gods of the Wold seek to deal with them but their destruction is unfeasible. They are instead sealed away in various locations: some in the Wold proper and some in other realms. Within the Scab, the gods sealed away one such group known as the Old Ones, and Fhorge is their jailer.

Legends say that Fhorge himself was an Old One who betrayed his own kind and swore himself to the Gods of Wold, becoming a geographic Power in the process, joining with the volcanic mountain that now bears his name.

Fhorge's power is felt throughout the Scab, where his followers are divided into two distinct groups: those seeking to appease the power as they travel the Scab and those seeking to strengthen and secure the jails of the Old Ones imprisoned there.

The first group includes most noble races in the Scab who pay at least lip service to giving offerings and other appeasements to Fhorge in the hopes of protection and safety in the harsh environment of the Scab.

The second group of Fhorge's followers is more active, seeking to protect the prisons of the Old Ones and guard them against any who would seek to free the Old Ones. These followers see themselves as defenders of the Scab, tasked with maintaining the delicate balance of power that keeps the Old Ones imprisoned.

Despite his fearsome reputation, Fhorge is a figure of necessary importance in the Scab. Without him, the Old Ones would be free to wreak havoc upon the Wold once more, and the delicate balance between order and chaos would be upset. For this reason, even those who do not worship him still acknowledge his importance and offer him respect.
