NPCs

  • Tony - (Male Half-Orc Adept). Part of Ash's coven. He looks young and a little rough, brown haired and with off-white skin and brutish features. Orphan.
  • Big John - Big John keeps the fire going at the forge. He'd never be trusted to actually make anything. That didn't keep him from swinging a hammer though. He’s married and insanely jealous of his wife Lucinda. Lucinda isn’t very loyal to him.
  • Jonsey - He and his daughter live outside the town in a small shack. He owns a tiny fishing boat and can be found on the water or in Bottims most days. His daughter usually isn’t far behind him.
  • Jim Terrance - Jim is a sailor on the Triple Tail merchant ship that trades locally. He’s generally in town once every 3 days. Roll d3, on a 1 he’s in town, the other numbers indicate how many days until he’s back.
  • Mrowlei - Mrowlei, or Roland Appleton, is an acolyte of Wardd. Reshakka the Chapel custodian can’t remember his name or it feels foreign on his tongue, so he’s taken to calling the man Mrowlei. Roland allows it since he respects the old Liontaur. Roland isn’t always in town as he’s a crewman aboard the Death Cheater, so he only comes to the Chapel when he’s in port.
  • Rio Brennan - Captain of the Sea Witch. It was said she herself is a witch as well and has a fair amount of control over the weather. Her ship is sleek and fast; some say it is the fastest around and with her control of the winds she could make 12 knots up wind while her pursuer had to tack.
  • Tessa Redlocks - Jonsey’s daughter. When she was a child she had red hair and the name stuck. Her hair has since mellowed to a reddish brown color, but her temper has not.
  • Trag - A wealthy fisherman, Trag owns his own fishing boat. His has a scar on his face that comes from a wound when he was young. A fishing hook was caught in his face and messed him up pretty badly. He doesn't do much fishing himself any more, but he makes a tidy profit from the proceeds of the boat.
  • Waldo - Until recently he was a womanizing scamp and shepherd. He’s recently met his end running from Big John. Waldo has a dog named “Getter”. Go Getter he’d say when a sheep got loose. (Waldo the Wanderer)

Tradehouse NPCs

  • Corinn (Corinn’s Cures) Corinn is one of the “gifted”. She can whip up a fairly effective healing potion (d3 heal) from local ingredients without using magic. She sells tokens, wards, poultices, etc. A Monkey Finger hangs at the back of her stall which has some magical properties. Corinn has a natural ability to Detect Magic if she can hold the item. She has a Spellcraft +12. She doesn’t charge for this service, but does want first option to buy. At the back of her stall is the entrance to the Catacombs.
  • Elle (Elle’s Enchantments) - One of the gifted in Heranmar. She is supposed to be able to remove curses.
  • Filael (Filael’s Fishing Gear) Filael is an old man with an aversion to the ending “g” in “ing”. He’s a fisherman specializing in game fish, or those fish that are hard to catch. Because he tends to need special equipment he decided to have his own shop. On a typical day he’s already put in a few hours fishing before he opens the shop. Only bad weather gets him in early and on those days he is late Corinn from across the way handles his business. He is also the town's Mayor.
  • Gendry (Gendry’s weather all) - Gendry has a special skill at divining the weather. On Survival checks to predict the weather he has a +10, so he almost always knows the weather for the next day. He charges 1gp for a reading and has a service for many of the ships in port where they get a daily report.
  • Gewl (Gewl’s Jewels) - Gewl is a quiet woman in her thirties with an eye for sparkling objects. She can set small gems and work with silver and gold wire. At the rear of her stall is a small iron forge she uses to melt down precious metals, mostly gold due to its low melting temperature.
  • Khol Akoka (WLA) A female elven monk from Wayfarer, she is in a simple tunic and sandals. She wears a badge in the shape of a battlemented tower with a symbol in Old High Woldian. This NPC is from the first module. Note from Module: After this module, the WLA is made aware of this new adventuring group and they all send a rep running to set up shop in the Tradehouse.
