Who is she? Visaura is a mysterious spirit who is drawn to those who mourn the dead. She offers the message that loss and death leads to decay and then to new life; swamps are sacred to her because they symbolize the new life that comes from decay. Flowers, especially lilies and lotus flowers, are her symbols, and people use these at funerals to comfort those who have experienced loss.
