Abjuration
Level: Witch 4
Components: V, S, F
Casting Time: one hour
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target or Area: All creatures and objects placed in the witch's cauldron.
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: See below
Spell Resistance: No

This ritual spell ends ongoing magic effects, curses, and diseases that affect creatures and objects in the witch's cauldron. All ongoing spells are terminated. All objects' magical properties are suppressed for 1d4 hours. All diseases are cured, including magical diseases and lycanthrope. All curses are removed. The spell also acts as an atonement spell. Creatures and objects to be purified must remain in the cauldron for the entire casting.

  • If the creature or object in the cauldron is unwilling to be purified, then it can make either a caster level check or a will save (whichever is higher), opposed by the witch's caster level check (1d20 +1 per caster level (maximum +20)), to see if it is affected.
  • Artifacts and unique immortal creatures are unaffected by mortal magic such as this. If a magical effect is unaffected by dispel magic, then it is unaffected by purify.
