There are many games in the Wold, both past and present. This lists them all; past events, current events, characters, NPCs, maps. Come on in and find out everything you need to know about any one of our games.

Each game has a summary section. Please update this with a recent precis of what your game is, and what's going on. Please keep it brief, and don't list the participating characters. The individual game page will cover that.

Career Games

Game Length Long term (Ten Years), runs from Level 1 to 21
Player Type Permanent PC, veteran woldians who've been with us for a couple of years.
DMs Likely to change every one or two years
Misc We need stability here, players who are in it for the long haul. These games are basically the core games we're playing right now.

Grey Knights

Previously known as the Windhorn Hamleteers and now known as the Grey Knights; the Grey Knights have been adventurers, spies, mercenaries and freebooters. Thanks to their various deeds the Grey Knights have been nominated for membership into the Dragon Consortium. They now face their first trial; to recover enough wealth to construct a castle. To do so all they need to do is destroy a particularly powerful demon...in Fae Skiemir.

Emerald Dragons

Previously known as the Emerald Talons, previously known as the Emerald Kingdom.

Parnoth the elder Green Dragon, sole ruler of the Emerald Kingdom, has proclaimed himself "savior of The Wold." To the Emerald Dragons adventuring group, however, Parnoth remains the tyrant whom has once more enslaved everyone with elven blood within the lands he rules. Can this group of adventurers restore liberty and justice to all...or will they die trying?

Children of Chaos

North meets South in this third expansion game. Adventurers from New Elenna have discovered the lost Southern Continent and have discovered they are but children of the ever-changing power of Chaos. Follow their struggle to understand the Southern Continent's chaotic cycle and understand their powers before it is too late.

The Crimson Shields of Hope

Previously known as Floating City

Welcome, travelers, to the most progressive city in The Wold! Access to the Floating City is only possible via teleportation. The City floats on the surface of a great lake that, until recently, no one had placed on a map of the known Wold. On arrival, feel free to purchase a tour guide to show you around the "Big Float." It is a "vertical" city with six levels. The tour begins on the top level and works down.

The Bloodpack

Previously known as the Sargass Plains

The tenth and wildest game in the Wold. This one is set in the wild Sargrass Plains of the Southern Continent. This wild bunch is known as the Bloodpack.

Plateau City

Some call Plateau City the most marvelous city in the Wold. Certainly, the Capital of New Elenna is a center of civilization and home to some of the most powerful people you will ever meet!

Ust Delmah

So begin the adventures of a small band of Surface Drow, of the House of Bralfah. Can they survive in a Wold that despises them?

Blackbird Lake

South of Cinnamon Valley, east of Aisildur, west of Dirt City, the Blackbird Lake region is now home to refugees from all three of those places. Can heroes from diverse backgrounds become a new gang of heroes?

Challenge Games

Game Length Medium term (Two Years), assorted levels
Player Type Permanent PC, Semi-permanent PC
DMs same DM from start to finish
Misc These games will be more flexible, enabling a permanent or semi-permanent character to have adventures in different environments and with different groups. OR If the group feels they want to stay together, then they can move on to the next challenge game together.

Chosen of Domi

The Chosen of Domi campaign spotlights the Taur races--the Centaurs, Minotaurs and even the Lion-taurs called Wemics! The disparate group strives to prove to the splintered peoples of the Taur Isles that they all can, indeed, work together for the greater good of not just the Taurs, but the entire Wold.

Fort Silence

This game takes place in the Wine Region of New Elenna. Full of conspiracy theories and secret societies, this game is designed to challenge some of our most veteran players!

The Uncharted Lands

Attention all Woldians of the age of consent. The Stonehelm Mining and Exploration Company of New Ellena seeks interested parties to join them in a new and exciting venture. The 'Company' has successfully petitioned for the rights to establish a new settlement in the uncharted lands for the purposes of mineral exploitation and commerce.

Join us in establishing the new settlement of Bryn Baraz and in so doing; share in the fortunes of this once in a lifetime opportunity. Land, commercial enterprises, and opportunities for personal advancement are available. Minimum two-year commitment required! Lodgings provided!

All interested parties shall make their interests known at Adventurer's Square in the Dragon Quarter on the third Friday of the month. Departure for the new settlement will take place no later than the last Friday of said month.

(A long list of required trades and professions follows the announcement. It includes everything from blacksmiths to farmers, to metallurgists, to weapon smiths. It also most notably includes a requirement for individuals with military training and skills to perform a variety of military and policing functions.)

Giggling Ghost / Tapestry Games

Game Length Short Term (1-3 Months), assorted levels
Player Type Temporary PC, Semi-permanent PC
DMs Same DM from start to finish
Misc A wide variety of settings, characters, even worlds and rulesets (if significant interest). Allows players to have 2nd and 3rd PCs.

The Giggling Ghost

In character, The GG is the “Happy Hunting Grounds” for all adventurers in The Wold. Adventurers dead and alive can gather there in their dreams to congregate, party, and enjoy themselves. Out of Character (OOC), the GG is an in-character board where PCs from every game can post together building community for woldiangames.com. PCs role-play: relaxing, socializing, compete in games and contests, and participate in scenarios/modules within the inn.

Retired Games

Eventually all good things must end. When it's time for a game to retire (for example when it hits Level 21, or when the number of active players drops below a certain point) the details of that game are saved for posterity.

Platinum Dragons

Previously known as the Storm and Gold Dragons. Now retired.

Witness the greatest heroes of the Wold, together at last! The Storm Dragons and the Gold Dragons have joined forces to form the Platinum Dragons, the most powerful adventuring group in the Wold! Follow the legendary exploits of Valdor Dragonstone, Dahlia, Corialote, Myrridan the Wild, Gareth, Tericus, Mordrid the Bounty Hunter, Onrad and Father Nicholas Valentine as they face perils beyond imagination.

Dirt City

The grimiest game in the Wold, Dirt City is a Rogues' paradise. Well, it was until everyone swore to be nicer to each other ... but how long can they keep that up?

Ice Vein

This game is based in the mysterious frozen land of Ice Vein. Newly discovered in the Southern Continent, this region is home to a magic city, barbarian tribes and secrets yet to be discovered.

Swords of Redemption

Read about life on the bounding main with our young party of heroes. Voluntary members of the Pirates of Jack, they sail the seas in search of ways to cripple the shipping lines of the puppet government of Aisildur that serves the mind-controlling god, Ga'al. Read about them quickly because tomorrow they will probably be dead.

Swords of Light

Previously known as Cinnamon Valley

In the Cinnamon Valley of the Windborne Hills, the defeat of Jarl the Giant by Storm and Gold Dragons has inspired new bands of adventurers from near and far. Here are the tales of one of those bands: Andrath, Arminus, Bralin, Harvest Moon, Lorth, Merryn, Villemus and Ashalan.

Crescent Valley

In a valley surrounded by the Enchanted Culverwood, the monster-infested Red Hills, and the Notoriously Dangerous Scab, peaceful halflings dwell. Well, they used to be peaceful, until this group came along!
