Sargrass People: Manfri

A strange and beautiful people inhabiting The Sargrass Plains, they are shorter than even Halflings. Black as night in skin color, they have white snowy hair and gray eyes. They detest anything metal or made from outside the plains. Their written language is woven blades of grass, and if you ask one his name he will hold out his hand palm up toward you in the traditional stop gesture. Many have thought that meant that the subject of Manfri names was a taboo subject. However, some few know this to be untrue. The hand-sign is their name. The Manfri seem to be intimately linked to the Plains.
