The Lich Kurgan

Kurgan was a drow living in the area prior to The Crying Woods becoming The Crying Woods.

He lived through the drow/lizard folk wars, losing his brother, sister, father and mother in the conflict. As a result, he harbors a deep hatred toward lizard folk.

Driven slightly insane by the loss of his family, Kurgan chose to blame the outcome of the war on the sudden manifestation of The Crying Wood. He has spent a millenium researching the reasons for the Crying Wood, and has discovered the story of Karkasan and his fate.

Kurgan's primary motivation is vengeance. He wants to reclaim the glory of the Drow, right the wrong of the Drow losing a war with the Lizard Folk, and if necessary burn down the forest he sees was part of the reason the Drow lost.

Kurgan's current goal is to find Karkasan, 'awaken' him, and use him to achieve his ultimate goals.

The Council of Floating City

• Overlord Aerashkiel: She is a half-elf and former leader of the Circle of Alder. Approximately 80 years old.

• Lord Marcus Rothchild - noble features, a hawk nose and piercing black eyes to match his jet black hair. His countenance is often sullen. One of the Lords of Diamond. He feels it’s time for the Lords of diamond to take a stronger role in the city. He is pleased that the last remaining Perimon (aka Lord Crimson) has been removed from the board. He is a noble in the city. Disapproves of adventuring groups in general.

• Lord Heridious Gordo - Older gentleman, human perhaps in his 60’s. Well dressed. Known to oversee the transport ring/Way Station to Plateau City. Also a merchant that handles a lot of transportation needs in the Float.

• Lady Alexis Asking - female human in her 40’s. Not exactly a beauty, but well dressed and wearing fine jewelry, brown hair and green eyes. She is also one of the Lords of Diamond. Noble of the city. In recent interaction with Silver Shields, she found the group, especially Stock, to be 'impertanent'.

• Lady Nori - formerly of Nori’s home cooking on the merchant level. Human in her late 50’s. Black hair but with streaks of grey. She has blue eyes and is still sharp in negotiations. She tries to represent the people of the merchant level most of the time.

• Lord Elric Storm - half elven, pale complected, white hair. He is not old, rather somewhat an albino. He’s perhaps in his late 30’s. Though well dressed you can tell his clothes hang somewhat loose on him, though they are well made. Noble of the city and member of the Star Mages Guild.

• Lord Jonas Yeager: An average looking may perhaps 50, with white hair. He is dressed well and obviously likes to eat well. He is earnest in his desire for the Float to become a new metropolis hub. Not a fan of the Silver Shields, as he finds them much too unrefined and volatile.

• Lady Bethany Crowl: A strikingly beautiful woman in her 30’s. She has long black hair but impressively styled into a mass on top of her head. She is adorned with fine jewelry. She is shrewd and calculating. She wants to see the Float prosper, but she wants to prosper as well.

• Lord Paragon Belkior: Middle aged halfing. Now a Level 10 Paragon, Belkior is the high priest of Alemi on the Gold Level. Unlike Syrdeth, he’s famous on the Float, although nearly everyone has forgotten his adventuring past.

The Lakeview Lads

• Yerikah Mylyl - Surface Drow Wizard 5.
• Jerma Mylyl - Surface Drow Fighter 5. Sister and Brother from It’lal. Inspired by Silver Shields’ adventure in that city, their family sent them to Floating City to expand their power/influence.
• Triggan Best - Beastfolk (Rat) Cleric 4 (Gargul)/Twilight Ranger 1 . Born and raised in ziggurat cleared by Silver Shields.
• Grysh Dockhand. Half Orc Cleric 3 Gargul)/Barbarian 2. Former dockworker. Part of gang Shields encounter in bar. Felt so bad about actions he sought out/befriended Triggan.
• Taran. Human Rogue 5. Former street urchin on Trash Level. Was infected with the plant virus that the party cured in an early adventure.
• Ceridan. Half Elf Sharpshooter 5. Fourth son of prosperous merchant family. Took a shine to the bow and adventuring based on former Shield shop (Sid)
• Duluth Silverhand. Dwarf Cleric (Alemi) 5 - acolyte who served in the house of the Paragon Belkior
• Xera. Human Bloodwitch 5 - Trash level urchin taken in by coven of witches party encountered during the Sargrass Crossover.
