In casting this spell, the witch cuts himself with a silver or glass dagger (cost 10 gp) or with his spirit dagger and uses the drained blood as a component to begin to cast another spell within the next minute. The second spell is then cast at a higher caster level.

• The boosted spell's caster level is raised by up to +1 for every four witch class levels the character has (levels 2-7, cost 5 hp, +1 level boost; levels 8-11, 10 hp, +2 boost; levels 12-15, 15 hp, +3 boost; levels 16-19, 20 hp, +4 boost; level 20, 25 hp, +5 boost).
• Caster level cannot be boosted above 25 with added caster levels.
• If this spell is cast in a coven circle, then the additional caster level or levels can be added to the next spell cast by another member of the coven. NOTE: if multiple witches in a coven circle cast this spell at the same time, all level boosts can be stacked together for the next spell the witch casts.
• Note that once used, the dagger (the focus) must be destroyed (except for spirit knives) before the caster can cast another spell. Also, the extra levels can only be used to cast spells and craft potions, not, for example, to read scrolls with a better chance of success.

In casting this spell, the witch uses his own life force to boost the power of the next spell he will cast, within the next minute. If multiple bloodwitches in a coven cast this spell at the same time, all level boosts can be stacked together for the spell cast, but not to exceed the CL25 cap. Note that the recipient’s caster level is boosted only to cast spells and craft potions, not, for example, to read scrolls with a better chance of success.
