Nyumbani is in many ways the opposite of neighboring Yuva; a realm of foul and savage sahuagin who predate and despoil to sate their thirst for power. A constant threat to undersea and land-dwelling neighbors, Nyumbani is the source of many disappearances on the high seas and deaths in swift and bloody coastal raids.

There is little to speak in the way of culture among the sahuagin. Bearing just enough intelligence for simple toolmaking, they have a simple hunter-gatherer society. Tribal leadership is based solely on personal power, with political change coming in fierce, bloody coups. Life is short and hard among the sahuagin, where kith and kin can make a ready food-source if good hunting is not available.

While the sahuagin lived in far-flung barbarism for most of their history, their destiny was changed with the coming of Mfalme the Tyrant. A enormous and mighty kraken, Mfalme also bore the telltale signs of fiendish heritage, making his personal annexation of the sahuagin nation merely a step towards establishing a cult of personality. Absorbed in their hero-worship, the sahuagin have been bound and emboldened by Mfalme into a force for widespread terror across the Hava Sea.
