THE GODS OF WOLD


ALEMI (SUPREME GOD OF NEW ELENNA)

(God of Truth, Justice and Leadership)

Realms of Responsibility--This god is the ruler of the Gods of Wold. He is concerned with leadership, and justice tempered with mercy. He always finds out the truth about a situation and dispenses justice showing mercy where it is possible. He and his priests are concerned with oaths, education, adventurers, mediation and community. He also mediates between the gods of the pantheon. He dislikes apathy, falsehoods, oathbreakers, slander, thwarted justice, illusions and cruelty.

Appearance--When in his natural form, Alemi appears as an old man with long white hair, soft face, sad smile and eyes that constantly twinkle.

Holy Symbol--Ruby, garnet or glass cut to look like a ruby.

Ethos—Always help the needy, never lie and never kill unless necessary.


DOMI

(God of War and Courage)

Realms of Responsibility--He is the God of War. He is the champion of the Gods of Wold and defends them in all matters of honor. He directs all matters concerning mortal war and its consequences. He provides strength to the faithful soldier. He is also Alemi’s top advisor. There is not a major decision made in which Domi does not have input. Those seeking courage come to Domi. He is responsible for the self-esteem of both the Gods of Wold and all of the mortals who worship them. He provides confidence for all situations: battle, facing death, weddings and other scary situations.

Appearance--Domi always appears as a fit human male. When relaxing, he wears his old monk’s habit. When performing some function of his station, he wears his battle armor. He has black close-cropped hair, brown eyes, and always wears a happy smile.

Holy Symbol--Crossed swords.

Ethos--Always avoid using missiles, never run from battle unless it is a strategic withdrawal, never discourage someone, and always state things in a positive way.


GARGUL

(God Ruler of the Underworld)

Realms of Responsibility--This god collects all the souls and spirits of the dead and makes sure that they arrive at the proper plane of resting and do not roam the earth at will. He tracks down spirits that roam the prime material of Wold without proper reasons. Gargul is totally dedicated to the spreading of Evil.

Appearance--Gargul in natural form is a human with gray hair similar in appearance to Alemi, however he usually appears as a lich-looking demon with only one central eye.

Holy Symbol--Open Eye.

Ethos--Take your revenge on those who harm you or yours, demand respect from all, the afterlife is better than this one, life is too serious to joke about..


CAEROLDRA

(Goddess of Love and Marriage)

Realms of Responsibility--This goddess is the patron of everything that is lovely or beautiful. She is also the patron of the traditional female place in society. She believes in marriage as an institution for life. She hates marriages for convenience. Love should be the sole reason for marriage. She is the designer of Godly and mortal fashion. Caeroldra counsels those who were born with natural beauty and helps them to be seen as more than just a sex object. Likewise, she helps those who were not born beautiful: teaching them to let their inner beauty shine. She dislikes ugly, brutish and pushy people. She punishes adulterers. She refuses to help those who will refuse to marry. She is the patron of loyalty in the family. Therefore she also patrons the community.

Appearance--Her normal appearance is that of a beautiful full figured woman with fair skin, black hair, and azure eyes.

Holy Symbol--Bow and Arrow.

Ethos--Love life and all living things, look your best, make the Wold a more beautiful place, and make the Wold a kindlier, gentler place. What the Wold needs now is love, sweet love.


THE SISTERS

(Goddess of Disaster)

Realms of Responsibility--Teresalia, Mittiri and Donyra are the natural triplets of Alemi and Caeroldra. They are responsible for disasters both natural and intentional. They monitor all forthcoming natural disasters and entertain pleas from mortals for relief. They have interceded between mortals and gods in all four of the cataclysms to devastate the Wold so far.

Appearance--(See individual sisters)

Holy Symbol--Three-headed female.

Ethos--Worship none of the three above the others; keep a sing in your heart; do not abuse nature, but respect it.


TERESALIA

(Goddess of Poetry and Song)

Realms of Responsibility--This goddess records, remembers, and keeps alive and current every piece of Elennian history that has ever occurred in the form of songs and poetry. She is the patron of the arts.

Appearance--Teresalia is tall and thin with protruding facial bones, but has long beautiful legs. She keeps an eye on her “favorite” mortals by disguising herself as a songbird. She also has been known to assume the form of a bard while traveling the Wold.

Holy Symbol--Reed flute (play it to turn undead).

Ethos--Keep the oral history of The Wold known through music and poetry. Make people happier through your music and poetry.


MITTIRI

(Goddess of Nature and Agriculture)

Realms of Responsibility--Mittiri is responsible for the preservation of all natural resources in the Wold. She is concerned both with plant and animal life. She is tonally neutral in outlook and is worshipped in druidic fashion. She is also the patron of Agriculture and those who make this their profession.

Appearance--She is petite with short brown hair often worn in pigtails.

Ethos--(See PHB2).


DONYRA

(Goddess of Storms and Weather)

Realms of Responsibility--The third born of the Sisters, Donyra is the patron of the sea and those who sail on it. She is patron of the wind and the weather she brings on it. She is an adrenaline junkie and thrives on conflict. She is usually viewed by her seafaring worshippers as someone to appease, rather than a being who will help in times of storm. She dislikes calm people who won’t ruffle to her circumstances. Donyra is the gossip of the gods. Contrary to most of the other gods whose power is limited to The Wold and locations of their worshippers, Donyra can hear gossip spoken anywhere.

Appearance--Donyra is tall like Teresalia, but big boned with hair flowing to her ankles. She has fair skin. She often assumes gaseous form to float on the wind listening to the Wold and occasionally takes on the form of a shark to travel the seas.

Holy Symbol--Whistle.

Ethos--Protect and respect nature, harm those deserving with gossip, respect the power of Donyra.


WARDD OF THE FIRST MOON

(God of Luck and Chance)

Realms of Responsibility--Wardd has no actual responsibilities on The Wold, but it the patron of gambling and the elusive quality of luck. He is the sole ruler of Wardd the erratic first moon of The Wold.

Appearance--Wardd appears as a healthy young man with blonde hair, sleek of form, and alarmingly large eyes.

Holy Symbol--Four leaf clover.

Ethos--Live a lucky life and press your luck often.


KERRACLES OF THE SECOND MOON

(God of Generalities)

Realms of Responsibility--Kerracles is an enigma in the pantheon. This God is the patron of all things not under the jurisdiction of another god and many things under the jurisdiction of other gods. His primary tasks to date include: Binder of Oaths, God of the City, God of the bringing of culture, Sole ruler of Kerra the second moon of The Wold, and God of Drunks. He is concerned about everything. He dislikes hard-nosed people and bigots. He appreciates tolerance and all things done in moderation.

Appearance--His natural form is that of a halfling with a smile that actually stretches form ear to ear.

Holy Symbol--Two-headed coin.

Ethos--Try to agree with everyone and get everyone to agree with each other. Use your talents to bring harmony and agreement to The Wold. Practice moderation.


FFLOY

(God of Thieves and The Silent Death)

Realms of Responsibility--This god is the patron of thieves and thievery. He is the patron of “nighttime activities”. He is the patron of prostitutes and other “undesirables.” He is responsible for the craft of telling half-truths. He is the patron of everything from harmless pranks for comic relief to polished military tactics, form proficient trapsters to stage magicians. He likes inflicting pain and torture, a good rip-off, and intimidation of others. He dislikes law-enforcement and reform.

Appearance--He appears as a thin wiry human with a hood hiding all facial attributes. No mortal knows what his face looks like. He is usually depicted as a thief.

Holy Symbol--The black spot.

Ethos--Lie and deceive to get ahead in life, be street wise, be careful not to steal too much so you can return and steal more later.


THE SERENBETH MAIDENS

(Goddess of Maidenhood)

Realms of Responsibility--These goddesses are responsible for all the goals and ambitions of mankind. Be it riches, wisdom, happiness, revenge, a pipe dream, marriage, etc. these goddesses are its patron.

Appearance--(See individual Maidens).

Holy Symbol--Lock of golden hair.

Ethos--Worship none of the four Maidens above the others, look good, and be all you can be.


SERENBETH

(Goddess of Birth, Childhood and Innocence)

Realms of Responsibility--This goddess is the patron of all children everywhere. She is the refuge to which all still born and dead children flee. She is the punisher of child abusers. She is also the patron of the young at heart and those who wish they could be innocent again. She is also the patron of sterile males and females.

Appearance--Serenbeth appears as a teenager with long blond hair. She has the personality and earthiness of a farm girl’s charm. She has killer legs that are stout and long.

Holy Symbol--Flower.

Ethos--Think young, act young, be young.


JANCASSIS

(Goddess of Revenge)

Realms of Responsibility--This goddess brings revenge on those who deserve it, rights wrongs that are too controversial or mundane for Alemi to handle, represents the rights of evil beings to have their revenge and avenges those who cannot revenge themselves. She punishes those who forswear themselves. She also punishes those who break their oaths and get away with it.

Appearance--A full figured woman dressed in black leather and carrying an invisible whip.

Holy Symbol--Black Widow.

Ethos--Bring revenge upon those who deserve it, right wrongs, punish the wicked and avenge those who cannot avenge themselves.


JANTIERRI

(Goddess of Dreams and Prophesy)

Realms of Responsibility--This goddess is the patron of the future. She does not believe in fate, but believes in empowering her worshippers to shape their own future. She is also the patron of dreams. She protects the little ones from the “things that go bump in the night” and “the monster under the bed.” She interprets dreams of gods and mortals alike and is the oracle of the gods. She also sends out the nightmares and daymares to deliver dreams to each being.

Appearance--Bordering on the skinny side, Jantierri’s beauty is totally contrived from painstaking practice of her mannerisms, voice, and make-up. Her face appears like a painted doll. Her actual charisma is just average, but the finished result is spectacular.

Holy Symbol--Closed eye.

Ethos--Early to bed, early to sleep, helps you to view the prophesies you seek.


KARINTHIS

(Goddess of Wealth)

Realms of Responsibilities--This goddess is the maiden of riches, wealth and influence. She accepts the worship of all who love money: especially those who have it. She is also the patron of miners. She patrons the professions of banking and investing.

Appearance--She is a full-figured female who usually appears chubby because of the number of furs she wears. She has a perfect face with a slightly crooked smile.

Holy Symbol--Diamond.

Ethos--Care for things, not people, unless the people can contribute more things.


KEVINTAR AND MARTEAUS

(Immortal Punishers of the Gods)

Realms of Responsibility--These immortals feed on all of the trouble of caused on the Prime Material Plane. They claim responsibility for the cataclysms. They are the instruments through which the gods deal out punishments when it need to be handled by other than mortals. They spend their days creating new and ever-more terrifying ways to inflict punishment.

Appearance--They appear as two undead creatures with red glowing eyes similar to zombies without the smell or decay.
