JANTIERRI

(Demigoddess of Dreams and Prophesy)

DM Version

Realms of Responsibility

This goddess is the patron of the future. She does not believe in fate, but believes in empowering her worshippers to shape their own future. She is also the patron of dreams. She protects the “little ones” from the “things that go bump in the night” and “the monster under the bed.” She interprets dreams of gods and men and is the oracle of the gods. She also sends out the nightmares and daymares to deliver dreams to each being.

History of Mortality

Jantierri was born an only child and as such was spoiled rotten. She learned early how to manipulate others as a young girl. she was especially effective with males. As a young woman, she attracted the attentions of Wardd while mortal by using astrology to predict his future. She also romanced Ffloy and used her ability to predict the future to see through his lies and trickery.

History of Ascension

She used her powers of prediction to help both Wardd and Ffloy ascend (though they would argue with that.) She, as a mortal, was able to enter both of their dreams and cause them to each want to sponsor her for godhood. So they did.

Godly Powers

She knows the dreams of all Woldians. She can also, therefore, listen to the desires of each person’s heart through their dreams. She speaks to selected dreamers through visions, warns through nightmares, and calms through fantasies. She can predict any happening up to 1,000 years in the future, but is restrained by Alemi from revealing too much. Most of the time she predicts with vague opaque riddles. She plans every step of her godhood millenium ahead of time and rehearses every interaction ahead of time. She has one thousand scribes that record her history before it happens. When real life deviates, she panics.

Godly Relationships

She works closely with Ffloy and is the only god who can see through his lies and trickery. She constantly is trying to shape him into the ultimate male. She is also the only one to escape the repercussions of an interaction with Wardd; however, he caused the only “happening” she has not been able to predeict and avoid. This was a physical summons from Gargul to visit him--the result of which was the birth of Kevintar and Marteaus. She obtained her revenge by twisting future time lines so that Alemi will someday punish Wardd by making him mortal for a day. She has plans to kill him during this day as do many other of the gods. Wardd is depending on his luck to survive.

Appearance

Bordering on the skinny side, Jantierri’s beauty is totally contrived from painstaking practice of her mannerisms, voice, and make-up. Her face appears painted like a doll. Her actual charisma is just average, but the finished result is spectacular.
