The Game
In a quiet glade, far removed from the turbulent destruction of the Sargrass Plains, a small bead of energy begins to coalesce. Sparks fly from the new white hole as it grows quickly to the size of a mill wheel, turbulently searing and blackening the grass underneath where it grazes the tips of the blades.
The screaming vortex slowly stabilizes into a portal, which quickly spits up our heroes onto the soft, invitingly green grass.
The portal seems to have been anchored in some kind of stone archway. Looking around, there are three other stone arches placed at the cardinal points in a circle about fifty feet across, with a huge ten-foot wide black iron cauldron in the center filled with clear blue water. Judging from the position of the sun rising over the horizon, it is not long past dawn, and the portal is anchored in the western arch. The glade's soft, even grass extends a good fifty feet in each direction from the stones. The area around the glade is sparsely wooded, limiting the distance you can see from here. A short hill rises to the south side of the glade, blocking the view beyond.
Thus started the adventures of the Sunrise Song; orphaned heroes from the Sargrass, Mithril Order, and a passing traveller banded together to find out why they all arrived at the same magical time to the Cinnamon Valley.

The Story so far
The orphaned heroes met the Pitchfork Council and have decided to stay in Cinnamon Valley to figure out why they were all magically sent HERE of all places.
The group investigated mysterious kidnappings and after several false leads, have followed the trail through an Aboleth slaver (allowed to leave for information), to a halfling sorcerer slaver named Harlan(got away), to a bloodthirsty werewolf named Sharon (got away),to a cleric/experimentor of Marteus named Skalipy who is giving the kidnappees "tests" to make them stronger and confident followers for Marteus.
The group was able to find, attack, and defeat Skalipy in his labratory/lair, and killed his chief henchman, a werewolf. Yet Skalipy was able to get away.
The Pitchfork Council invited the heroes to stay and built a Tower for them. The heroes have elected to name themselves the Cinnamon Protectors and the Tower: WatcHaven. A town has quickly grown up around the Tower and is also called WacHaaven.
The Cinnamon Protectors have stumbled into a civil war between genie King and Queen and have thus far been able to make sure everyone is angry at them.
Characters
These are the characters, past and present, that have featured in this game.
Current Characters
Tishe' (SteveK), a human female Witch/Spellweaver. At first glance, the woman wearing greens and tans looks like a guildswoman of modest means. The short woman keeps her shoulder-length wavy brown hair in a tail pulled away from her rather plain face and the light brown skin does nothing to craft a striking appearance. Not the kind of face or body to give anything more than a passing glance. Tishe' has a very strong protective instinct (don't call it motherly!). Between her upbringing and training, she has little tolerance for bullies. Tishe' had always been overshadowed by more beautiful and 'womanly-talented' sisters, so it is not surprising she doesn't think much of natural beauty nor traditional roles for women. A long time member of the Bloodpack, her transformation to a Witch by the Power Sargrass has gained wisdom on arrival to Cinnamon Valley.
Thar (Ken M), an elven ranger/cleric , he excels in scouting and tracking originally hailing from Mithril Order. He's a friendly fellow, though impatient at times with useless banter or bureaucracy. He's usually seen in his elven chain armor or clerical vestments, depending on the situation. He enjoys hunting and usually has bits of twigs or grass stuck here and there on his armor or robes. He wears a large wooden cross on his chest and is distinctly monotheistic in his religious view.
Snafu (JeffL), a Sorcerer/Arcane Trickster, he is a fun-loving soul. Magically transformed into a Liontaur, the sorcerer is still the same fun-loving guy.
Edmund (Shawn), a half-elf sorcerer from Plateau City and the Mithril Order. Edmund is a young male half-elf of fairly slight build. His eyes are bright, twinkling, and nearly constantly moving. He is almost always smiling, unless confronted by dire circumstances, and even then he can usually find the bright side of any situation. Occasionally, however, he is plunged into a deep and foreboding gloom by circumstances which only the most complete reversal of fortunes can alleviate.
Revi (JimC), a female human barbarian/fighter from Plateau City and the Mithril Order. She is wild and free.
Caedmon Bohga(Zach Ramage), a centaur monk, met the group in the midst of a battle with an elite genie squad. Well built for a centaur, Caedomn is strong and stout. He is not as agile as most of his race. He has pitch black hair and tail, with buckskin colored hair over his lower body. He carries an exquisitely crafted bow, enchanted by the monks of his order. He wears simple clothes and keeps his hair pulled back in a pony tail.
Past Characters
Yanosh (Edd F), a gruff Dwarven Fighter/Cleric who is very slow to except others fully yet is a staunch warrior and friend when he does. Starting out in the Ice Vein Yanosh found himself tossed from the frozen plains to the heat scorched lands of the Sargrass Plains. Thinking that he has finally found a home he finds himself once more watching everyone he knows and come to trust die and left with a group of new friends. Now lost in the Darkness he ponders what will happen to him and what is left of the BloodPack. Covered in severe burn scars his face and head are near bare of any hair. All that is left of his once proud dwarven heritage is a long grey beard and mustache. Once a flaming red the hair is now grey after seeing and pledging his life and service to his deity Gargul. Accepting what he is Yanosh strives to be the best Eye of Gargul that he can, adventured many years with the Bloodpack, but soon went his own way upon arrival in the Cinnamon Valley.
Taldera, a tall elven female bard, also of the old Bloodpack, soon travelled to other realms.
Seralina (Josh), a halfling Rogue/Sharpshooter/Shadowdancer from HookCity and the Sargrass. She lives to dance, and she loves to look her best even after a lengthy battle. Left to find her old friend, Taldera.
Falmar (Leon Long), a Paladin/Wizard/Bladesinger, a Sargrass refugee along with his unusual mount, a Rapke named Dondit.
Kahlan. a female paladin. came searching for the murderer of her fiance'/partner. Skalipy, the murderer, escaped from the heroes. Kahlan left for the same reason.
Ramen (Yves) a paladin. Arrived and left soon after, both under mysterious conditions.

Kayleigh, sometimes known as the Woodwitch of the Green Coven. A Witch who lives near Witchspawn, and the first person the heroes met in Cinnamon Valley. She has a wolf companion.
Wilhimena, the chief Witch of Cinnamon Valley and heads the Pitchfork Council. She invited the heroes to stay and figure out why they are here. And in the meantime, they can protect the people of the Valley from evil.
