Volume 2: To Raise the Plains

Chapter 1: Those Daring young men

DM: Anthony

Characters: Anuk, Calim, Gilan, Grymash, Jacob, Kam, Milo, Sterlin, Trellus


After a long day of hard work the Pack is found resting on the edge of the dam untill they are challenged by a pack known as the "Black Pack"... Malgo and Blue challenge them to go outside Rattledam into the plains and to recover of pod filled with the liquid of the Glass Grass by the next day. Not mentioning that it's allready close to dusk the Pack accepts...

Sneaking out of Rattledam proves to be harder than they exepected!!

As they found their way out they are caught by the headmaster Galafar... quite unexpected though the pack rebels against their headmaster (who is renowned of his brute punishments) and go out and into the Plains never the less.

Under a moonlit sky the young pack moves further away from the security of Ratteldam and indeed finds the Glass Grass. With a touch of skill and a load of luck they manage to salvage the precious pods holding the Glass Grass Liquid. As they are about to return to Ratteldam and wipe the nose of the Black Pack something stirs the Plains... although stirring is not the right word as the Plains instead go silent...

RAPKE!!!

A wild race through the Plains begins and they can only head West. RUN!!!

Then... for the first time our Pack lays eyes on the Manfri. A strange race inhabiting the Sargrass Plains. With their help they manage to stay ahead of the Rapke...


Chapter 2: No Fate but what we make

Characters: Anuk, Flea, Gilan, Grymash, Jacob, Milo, Sterlin, Trellus


Running with the Manfri the pack finally comes to a circular clearing in the grass at the base of a large rock outcropping. There they have to choose their fate...

Taking part in the Kall'a'Tek, the Freedom Ceremony, the pack takes side with the Manfri and for the first time encounter the Bounders, Rapke and Barron Riders. After a bloodclogging battle the pack is victorious and they fullfil the Kall'a'Tek by cutting out the hearts of the Barrons as it's the only way to kill them.

Drenched in Blood the brave lads found their fate and along with it a true name for their Pack... the Bloodpack

After celebrating the victory the Bloodpack returns to Rattledam pondering the punishments Galafar will have prepared for them... Seperating at the pond the Bloodpack meets Flea.

The next day however the Bloodpack is mortified as they find out Jenny, Trellus's siter, is missing... surely she won't have gone out of Ratteldam following the Bloodpack... would she?!? Flea remembers hearing people shouting...

The Bloodpack once again leaves Rattledam fixed on getting Jenny back!


Chapter 3: Hunting for the girl

Characters: Anuk, Flea, Gilan, Grymash, Jacob, Milo, Sterlin, Syler, Trellus


Dispite wasting some time at first looking in the wrong places the Bloodpack soon realizes they will only find Jenny by following their own steps out into the plains towards the Stained Glass Grass. Tracks of a young female running into the Rapke sends shivers down the spines of everyone and most fear they will never find Jenny back alive... Trellus feels the same way but refuses to give up and with help of the rangers the group follows the Rapke tracks...

Only to make the whole situation even worse the Bloodpack finds a bubble of water!! Water!! THE most dangerous liquid out here on the Plains!! The buzzing of thousands and thousands of insects again makes the Bloodpack run for their lives!! The race comes to a sudden end as the Bloodpack stumbles upon a large pit... a pit with sharp stones at the bottom... unable to stop his pace Gilan drops into the pit a good 30ft below upon the sharp stones... The group begins climbing down while Grymash holds a rope. Things go well untill the brute half-orc forgets that HE is holding the rope and HE tries to climb down using the very same rope!!! CRASHING down upon his companions some are brought on the brink of death! But meanwhile the buzzing insects continue to come closer!!

Spotting a number of tunnel entrances the pack decides to make their pick and hide in one of the tunnels. At that precise moment the Bloodpack encounters Syler! An extra companion to the Bloodpack!

Followng Jenny's tracks down into the tunnel the Bloodpack finally spots Jenny (and an unconscious Malgo) ambushed by Rapke and Bounders!!!


Chapter 4: The Battle for Jenny

Characters: Anuk, Flea, Gilan, Grymash, Jacob, Milo, Sterlin, Syler, Trellus


For the second time in their young lives the Bloodpack stands face to face with Rapke and Bounders.

While some are strikken with fear the rest of the pack stands strong and begins the deadly dance with the Rapke... Gilan nearly looses his life here and Gry... well... he ends up with his head between the jaws of a Rapke!! Almost decapitated the Half-Orc manages to break free and kill the beast!

Even though the Pack is allready bewildered and amased by these creatures, it's Jenny who baffles her own brother most... with her little fists she plunges a dagger into the eye of a Rapke and sinks her arm into its head right up to her elbows!!!

Then... the Bloodpack honors its name once more and cuts out the hearts of the Rapke thinking this is the only way to kill these beasts...


Chapter 5: The First Circle

DM: Anthony

Characters: Anuk, Flea, Gilan, Grymash, Jacob, Milo, Sterlin, Syler, Trellus


After having found Jenny and cut out the hearts of the Rapke an old and whithered Manfri appears. Apparently Weaping over the Rapke corpses he explains the cutting of the hearts is only working in front of the Taudo during the Kall'a'Tek ceremony... another lesson learned by the Bloodpack... and it certainly will make things less messy in the future!!

A cave-in blocks the pack from going back where they came from so they begin following the tunnels deeper and deeper hoping to find an exit. Then again they stand perplex as they enter a large room with thousands of paintings of little hands on the wall and one large... Golden Door...

Enthraled by the door Flea hopes to open it... with childish enthousiasm Milo runs up the walls and with paint of his hands makes his own print on the walls... Anuk digs out his diary as he found a drawing of the famous Sarg-Moth... but then suddenly they hear the voice of Galafar!!! They CAN NOT be found here!!! Allready they face unknown punishments... what if he finds the group here!!

Moments later the group stands face to face with Galafar, Malafret and the old Manfri known as the Mankife...

Galafar's tirade and scowls are abruptly ended by a word of the old Manfri! Never before has anyone shut Galafar like this!! Without shouting Galafar leaves the Bloodpack...

Malafret then explains the ways of the First Circle - they who walk in the sun protecting secrets with secrets - and the Second Circle - they who walk in the dark protecting the secrets by force...

There the group swears their oath as they become members of the second circle...
