Overview
Small collection of 10 buildings surrounded by stout wooden pallisade with a 120' signal tower facing north towards the river. Square design with two watch towers and northern facing double gate which opens outward and has a pair of large timber braces that can be slid into place. Surrounding the pallisade is about 2 acres of grains, an acre of vegatables and small ½ acre of apple trees.

The gnolls in the Grassland areas ride these strange creatures as mounts
Name: ‘Gryshlyk’ Gnoll mount that resembles a Velocirator visually with beige and dark brown coloration. Domesticated by the grassland gnolls and solely used by them. NPC reaction of Helpful must be obtained to purchase/trade for or be given one See Light horse for stats. Carrying capacity as a biped So if the PC’s go to the become allies/friends or what have you with the savages of the grasslands, maybe as a reward for that effort they will be gifted with the mounts. Or they could wipe out a gnoll tribe and take them and try to Handle Animal them into being mounts
Official Items
Creatures Dinosaurs, the dominant lifeform is the dinosaur and unlike other animals of the Wold, something or someone in Cthonia today or long ago imbued these creatures with greatly enhanced intelligence. (Even smarter than the Raptos of Jurrasic Park) In the thick jungles, the dinosaurs are of the small and medium sizes. They creatures travel in packs and use stealth, diversions, flanking and ambushes to attack and defend themselves. Upon the mesas there are some animal species comoon to the african plains such as hyenas, lions and of course dinosaurs of similar size. The cliffs of the mesas are home to flying dinosaurs. In the great grasslands on the eastern part of Cthonia is where the Huge and even larger dinosaurs dwell.
The Jungle is also home to several tribes of creatures. 2 kobold tribes have been introduced thus far, in module 1 and 3 respectively

Secret Inner Circle Statement: All Woldian forests were once active and aware. Intelligent forests can protect themselves. DARE will alter the makeup of the plants and creatures of the forest to awaken their collective intelligence. We will engineer forest life so it can protect itself against civilization These guys are militant in that they are SO INTO intelligent forests that they are trying to engineer this to happen. They breed variant treants with varying abilities. They are even trying to use drider technology of the Drow to turn various races into a walking drider/treant type creature. Yeah, I know, kinda bizzarr, but by taking it too far, we can make this group more interesting and even pull it back a bit later.
Kobold tribes
K’tthhykk Coloration mostly greens with brown snouts. They have no head crest. Tribe is untrusting, but not overly hostile to outsiders such as humans. They can be negotiated with, traded with and possibly become allies. Much depends on the party. The tribe is highly magical and it’s leadership of King, Queen, High One and Father’s Voice are all powerful sorcerers with Primoral bloodlines. They are also very adept at creation of magic Items.
Ss'Hathk Coloration is Brown with Tan highlights. Short crests of black and brown run from their snout to upper back of their skull, long viperlike tails. Initial Reaction is always Hostile. Ambush hit and run like the other small humanoid tribes of the jungle floor about the mesa's high use of poison and alchemy which seperates them from the others. Primitive tech, no metal weapons or armor, no refining capabilities. wood and vine construction of Tribe. Like many primitive cultures here they worship the land and the geat dinosaur. Tribe sits on exposed gold ore vien and use the unrefined ore in all decorations. Powder form for paint, small nuggets in necklaces and such. matriarchal society with the Chief (female) in charge Tribe is about 150 warriors strong
